Wow, I've been watching anime since Gundam Wing was on Toonami, and this is one of the greatest series I have watched. After I watch thed first disc, I was unable to hold myself back and not watch the Second. The plot is a little straight forward, and the first few episodes try and jam a lot of story in, but they do a great job, and deliver a lot of mecha action. I definetly recommend this set, especially if the Special Edition Box is a little too pricey for you.

This anime series is the best series of 2007. And the second series, Code Geass R2, is the best show of 2008 so far. I've never been sucked into an anime series so quickly. This show doesn't mess around, it jumps in the story fairly quickly. Action is excellent, Art is amazing, the storyline is top notch, and the story telling is Hollywood quality. If you are looking for a gateway/first anime series or you are an anime lover this is a must.
