New variation on the turn based strategy game. Characters are interesting as is the world the games is played in.

This is a classic style turn based game. It also works with the fire emblem amiibos if you have any of them.

After playing the demo, I decided not to keep this game. While it was a neat concept, the fact that attacking also took steam power was a real drag and seemed to make battles take longer than they should of. The graphics were neat and so were the characters, but it was still really cheesy. I'd say play Fire Emblem Awakening instead if you're looking for a good SRPG on 3DS.

For a new IP, the character design and visual style is a huge turn off. otherwise its a good strategy game.

Although kind of cheesy at times, STEAM offers a unique experience that is somewhat familiar w The turn based combat but beyond that I never felt the game was like Final fantasy even in combat. The combat does not fade away into a battle mode after a randomly selected encounter. The Alien Force maY receive reinforcements w map route trigggers or if the level is taking long to complete. The main combat system is squad based. Each character has their own special attack/heal/Enchant. Each character has two guns; one being a "Set item" to a specific character. Most Often the set weapon is linked to the character's special ability. (A healers set weapon is an (AoE) long range mine lobber that heals teammates within its blast radius. With 12 unlockable character's all having diversity of style & weapons, one has many options to defeat the enemy.

I finally bought the game when it went on sale and what a steal. I read early reviews when it was first released about the pace of the game due to the enemy's turn but they since patched that. Great art style, great characters and great story.

A pretty good game overall. Tactical with an interesting premise.

I haven't played much of this but its one of those games that you have to think before making a move. I usually don't have time for strategic games like this but I don't mind them being in my collection. I can't wait to use the Amiibo function if I ever obtain a Marth or other Fire Emblem Amiibo. I'm not going to recommend this game to someone unless I know they like these types of games.

I'm really loving this game. If you like strategy games I think this is a must play. You can't see the enemies until you encounter them. The gameplay ideas are very unique and I hope they make sequels to this series in the future.
