The game is easily to explain as anime Dark Souls, it’s difficult if that game style isn’t for you. I normally rush into things and it’s makes things difficult but the game is great.

I love the game despite some negative reviews. It's one of the best souls-like games. The graphics are nice if you are into the comical animation style. The battle system is cool.

This game wears it's influences on it's sleeve. Mechanics are a bit faster paced than Dark Souls, and aesthetically it looks more like an anime. If you liked Dark Souls or Bloodborne, give this a try!

Shift does it again. Absolute 10/10 game, featuring extremely fun combat, compelling characters, and excellent character customization. Play God Eater.

Very good action RPG. I enjoy the anime style visuals with a little bit of fan service. Could be compared to the Dark Souls series, but the combat in this game has a lot more depth.

Took me at least an hour on character customization due to the large amount of different features you can put on your character. Live the storyline and game functions.

If you are looking for a souls like with anime characters and a more front and center story, you will love this game. The character creator alone is worth the price of admission.

Definitely worth playing if you like the genre. Good combat, lots of customization in characters and builds, co-op, fun cheesy over the top anime story. What else do you need?

Code Vein is a Dark Souls-esque type, that you will absolutely enjoy! The game can be played with a NPC helper or all on your own. Yet, beware playing this master stroke, solo...Your Veins Will Run Code!!

Highly recommend to fans of nioh, dark souls, bloodborne, sekiro. This game is very similar, but way different at the same time.

I find the game entertaining, and the voice acting good. The gameplay is alright, not a fan of the dark souls/bloodborne style though. Enemies seem to scale in level as well to yours, which makes things annoying in the beginning

If you are looking for a slightly more lenient dark souls, this is it. Co-op is easy if you are looking for multiplayer. A great action packed experience.

if you like Dark Souls and anime, then this is will likely be fine for you. It's not as hard as people say it is, but it's still a good challenge.

He probably had about 40 hours just in the demo. This is the only game that has gotten him to stop playing dark souls

This game always got mixed reviews so I was skeptical . I’m a big dark souls fan and this is probably the best souls like game I’ve played yet . Loving this game so far a great deal at 15 bucks

Code Vein is Souls like but is very fun with an Awesome story that takes time to play playthrough but what Souls like doesn't anymore and i would recommend

Wow I am a fan of the dark souls series and this is right up my alley. Not as unforgiving as dark souls but close enough.

Best Buy gave me a complimentary gift cert which allowed me to pick this game up on a great deal. Curbside pickup was flawless. Came out within a minute and off I went. Finally got a chance to try the game recently. "Soulslike" game with dark anime overtones with a very robust character creator. Has coop which I have yet to try, but so far combat and visuals seem clean and game runs great on my ps4 slim. I'm primarily a pc gamer, but Best Buy's deal on the ps4 version was hard to beat. Recommended!

Playing this game the first time through was a load of fun and I’m excited to go back and try the varying skills I didn’t use the first time.

I have spent over 100 hours in multiple playthroughs and bloodcode specs, even obtained the platinum trophy! The story is better than expected, the difficulty really depends on your skill. I am not good at these types of games and had trouble with some bosses like the queens knight and mido's two guards, but it felt great when I was able to defeat them finally. The character customization is god tier in this game! Why do other games charge real money for pathetic costume trinkets when this game offers an insane amount of options for free!!
