Customers love the Folio Case for Apple® iPad® Air 2's design, quality, and protective features. Many appreciate the snug fit and high-quality materials used in its construction, resulting in a stylish and durable product. However, some customers note the lack of an automatic sleep mode function and slightly heavier weight compared to other cases. Overall, the positive feedback on design, quality, and protection outweighs the negative comments.

Good looking case and lightweight, however could use more protection.

I was impressed with the craft and workmanship of this iPad cover and it was branded with a well known leather brand but as much as I loved the richness and feel of the cover, it just didn't close flat leaving my iPad on. So had to take it back.

Gorgeous case

This case is leather and plastic, in a very dark brown. The iPad snaps in so the entire surface is free, so if you're planning on dropping your machine a lot this isn't the best bet. It does cover the front and back, with appropriate cutouts for buttons, speakers, and ports. The stand is sort of a reverse smartcover, a little hard to explain but very nice to use and way sturdier than the Smart Cover style cases. The braided detail on the leather looks to be molded rather than actually braided like on Cole Haan bags, but honestly it doesn't bother me. The textured area is also what rests on a surface when th case is being a stand in landscape, so the case won't slide around which is nice. This is still beautiful full grain leather which will wear beautifully, and the plastic part which holds the iPad is nice and well made too. It fits perfectly, and adds hardly any weight or bulk to the iPad.
It is an expensive case considering there's no bells and whistles like a keyboard or super duper protection, but if you are looking for a stylish, beautiful case which will protect your iPad from normal usage, I'm not sure you can do better than this!

Nothing but looks

I agree this is a beautiful case. That's what made me buy it without paying close attention to the details. It fits snugly and looks good, but your iPad will not automatically go to sleep when you close the lid, so if you have yours set to an extended awake time, it could be an issue. It also is a little clumsy how it opens and supports the iPad, and has only two ways of propping it open. I plan to return this and look for one that is attractive but with practical functionality.

I picked up this case when BB had it on their Deal of the Day. It's a great case and overall pleased with my purchase.
Pros
Front has a nice textured and woven leather which has a nice touch and feel to it.
iPad snaps right in during fitting
Cons
No auto lock when you close the front flap and nothing magnetic.
An elastic band to hold the front flap would be nice.
Regular price is really high compared to other cases.

Great if you want a simple, sleek, non-rugged case

Previously I tried the Jack Spade folio case, and though that was a good case overall it didn't work for my primary need: using it in landscape mode while typing on an external keyboard for an 30-90 minutes at a time. The Jack Spade didn't provide enough flexibility in viewing angles for that to work comfortably.
The Cole Haan does, and it's a little simpler and lighter as well. I'm very happy with it.
Important to bear in mind: this isn't remotely like a rugged case, and though it holds my iPad Air 2 securely, it provides only basic protection. I understood that going in, and am happy with the compromise of weight and bulk vs. protection since I bought the Air 2 for its lightness and slim profile.
Previously I used the Logi Blok case with a built-in keyboard. That was an excellent case for its purpose: turning the Air 2 into a little ruggedized laptop. The Blok's protection felt outstanding, and the keyboard was reasonably good. But... it turned my sleek, light Air 2 into a slightly bulkier laptop.
So the Cole Haan does what I need functionally with a great range of viewing angles, and it provides basic protection while leaving my iPad slim and light. A fair compromise.

I found the leather to be very nice quality however the case did not snugly fit my IPad Air 2. I ended up returning it for a refund.

This was a deal of the day purchase because I would not spend the full price on this kind of product and in this case (haha) it was not even worth the discounted price. Very thin and flimsy. I would not trust it to product the ipad air2. Promptly returned the item.

Offered no protection

I purchased this case from Best Buy, and I will admit, it looks good. However, the protection it affords is negligible. I may have received a defective case, for when I dropped my iPad from just two feet high, the iPad slipped right out of the case and the screen cracked from a minimal fall which you would expect to be protected. My review would be different if it had fallen awkwardly, or the cover happened to open, that could happen by chance. This, though, was not chance, it was faulty construction. My iPad slipped right out and cracked. Don't buy this case, if you expect any sort of protection.
