I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO HELP ME TYPE QUICKER THAN JUST USING THE CONTROLLER SINCE I'M GETTING TO GAME MORE AND DECIDED TO GET THIS. IT WORKS AND IS EASY TO SET UP. BUTTONS RESPOND QUICKLY.

Does what it's suppose to but theirs a lag when it comes to connecting to the PlayStation , u press a button and it takes like 5 seconds to re connect every time, I don't really use it .

But it does take some getting used to. I have had a playstation controller in my hand for the past 15 years or so. I can definitely feel when i have the keyboard attached. I play Neverwinter, and just getting into where you can type into chat requires a few steps to begin with, but this does speed up typing quite a bit when you get there. I havent let the battery die yet so i cant comment on the battery life or anything like that. One thing, when you put it on, make sure the little tiny "teeth" fit into the speaker holes snugly when sliding it on, and then give it another snug push. youll feel it lock in, and really, its not coming off unless you want it to.

This item is plug and play, works very well, and fits almost snug balancing the controller. The only complaint I have would be the time out or sleep setting. This occurs after a few seconds and then requires the controller reconnect with the PS4.

It actually still works pretty ok... I've had it for about 6 months, it charges your controller too.... however,the E,R,D,F pads lighting is flickering on and off =/ otherwise it would have been 5 stars

It's definitely a luxury item to have but not needed. Depends on what game you are playing to use. Some games have in chat capabilities but not all do. Good for sending out texts to friends online and makes searching for things on ps network easier.

I hooked this up and it made connecting to PlayStation site a whole lot easier. Helped to extend gaming time ( new controllers batteries don't last long). It does tho add extra weight to controller and is heavier than it looks. Worth the extra weight.

The ps3 chat pad was way better.. This one takes time to connect and it disconnects after a minute or less... Doesn't recognize the imputed and gonna keep pressing so it can connect...

The keyboard functions well while it's connected, but it constantly unpairs with the PS4, I'm assuming to save battery. What this means is anytime you want to type, you need to wake it up which in-turn takes you out of the game you're playing to repair it via blue tooth to the PS4. You can then type until you let it sit for 15 seconds and it shuts off. This makes it not practical to use in FFXIV or ESO, which would've been the best case. I suggest just having a cheap blue tooth keyboard next to you instead.

Late review but the device works great for chatting and texting and backup battery to keep controllers charged for long gaming sessions.

This makes life in gaming a bit easier, you're able to chat and type faster obviously comparing to typing in later by letter using the ps4 controller ... smh!

No more using the controller to navigate thru the letters. This Chatboost on the controller is great, speeds up the time to type things in. Great purchase.

I was a little concerned with it but it was easy to connect, and work as a champ...great device and also great feature the lighting keypad.

I wanted a chat pad. Decided to try this one out and I am not disappointed. Battery lasts a long time and I have never had a connection issue.

We had purchased this to obviously save time on chatting in-game on our PS4. First, it was irritating putting the keypad onto our expensive controller. It was a struggle taking it off let alone putting it on. We have a two port controller charger stand,however, you can't charge it on the controller on this apparatus. It needs to be charged via a remote charge wire. We had this for about two weeks and upon putting it on third or fourth time using it it wouldn't click on. I could have tried harder, but then I would have risked breaking my, again, expensive PS4 controller. We took it back for a refund.

It's amazing how you can search with this keyboard on your PS4 Easily working It will take you a while to know how to play with it that's all

Key backlighting(blue) active when in use and has the ability to charge controller as well. The keyboard hasn't gotten in my way at all.

My stepson is a youtuber. He wanted this to make it easier to type on his ps4. It works perfectly for him. He is very happy with it.

Fits nice on the controller, and it's nice to be able to draw off its battery to charge the controller. I really have no complaints about it.

The keyboard makes it a lot easier to type. It definitely should be promoted more. I just saw it while i was looking around the store.
