What can one say but it's John Wayne so there is going to be action! My favorite actor! Enjoyed this movie and now I own it.

I like the movie because John Wayne has always been a great Western actor since my childhood.

My husband wanted this. He loves John Wayne and this movie. Not bad for $5

Had heard about this movie for years but had never seen. Saw it on the shelf at Best Buy and decided now was the time. Not disappointed! It's a John Wayne western movie of course, but I enjoyed Stuart Whitman's portrayal of a likable bandit turned good. Good interaction with him and Wayne in a story about chasing down gunrunners. DVD quality is quite good. At a bargain price I suggest it for your Western collection.

The Comancheros is a fun Western staring John Wayne and Stuart Whitman. At first the interactions between Wayne and Whitman were a bit annoying but as the movie progresses they really seem to meld well together. Personally I think the highpoint of the movie was the small role played by Lee Marvin. Marvin, as was the norm in the 60's, plays a perfectly despicable dirt bag. Western fans will find plenty of open scenery, gunfights and horse action to keep you interested and some pretty well written characters to keep you engrossed!

I had never seen this movie when I picked up the disc on a whim. The price was right, and it had John Wayne. so why not? Picture quality was excellent -- really beautiful. And for a "lesser" John Wayne, it was quite a good film too. The very ending was a little weak (IMO) but getting there was lots of fun. If this is a favorite of yours, get it by all means. An excellent hi-def presentation.

Admittedly I really like John Wayne and have many of his films. He is who he is and plays that part very well. This is all about a criminal (Stuart Whitman) who John Wayne captures (he's a Texas Ranger after all) but then they have to work together to stop a criminal gang selling guns and whiskey to the Comanche Indians. It shows changes (positive) to the criminal during this time.

If you liked "Rio Bravo", "El Dorado", and "The Sons of Katie Elder", you will enjoy "The Comancheros". Wayne is in fine form as a Texas Ranger/bounty hunter looking for a Cajun rogue (Stuart Whitman) with a large price on his head. The duo end up combining efforts against a violent band of gunrunners and thugs known as the Comancheros.

Couldn't pass up a favorite John Wayne movie on Blu-ray for $5. Movie looks crystal clear and sounds great. It's the extras though that are unusual. Not much about the movie but historical background about time period and the Indians depicted. Then a bit about John Wayne's movie career. Both very interesting. A must have for John Wayne fans

If you enjoy a good western you're in for a treat. This one has it all: good western action, humor, a good story-told well, and of course, John Wayne. How can you have a good western without Mr. JOHN WAYNE ?!

I do prefer blu-ray and this one is improved by it. Also being a Wayne movie his fans will enjoy. Wayne is a ranger on a secret mission and Stuart Whitman is the reluctant sidekick being forced to go along. Good action and should be enjoyed even by non Wayne fans.

This internet purchase went without any type problem. Shipping performance was on-time and internet communication was excellent keeping me informed on the package delivery/arrival time.

The DVD transfer, is fair (the warm look of analog film still holds up), the story is a good one (with as stated, some classic "Duke" elements), and the price was great (5 bucks, c'mon!).

This is one of my favorite John Wayne movies and my dad loves it as well. So it only seemed right to purchase it for my collection. Picture quality is great!.

If you don't like John Wayne movies you just don't like movies.
