The upgrade LCD remote is a plus, as it displays when You lock, unlock, remote start the car, as well as the temperature inside the car. Also gives you beeps and signals when any activation or program has been activated from the remote. Best of all, I can remote start it from about a mile away.

I love the Compustar remote start as a system. I wanted extra functionality that this remote provides, such as seeing the internal temperature of the car and whether or not it's locked, etc. The remote falls short in general ergonomics: the buttons are on the side and they are chrome plated; difficult to see and difficult to press with large fingers. The back-light turns off too quickly to see status on first glance, made worse by the "white on black" LCD configuration which is even hard to see in good lighting. Black on white would have been much better. I almost went with a competing system that had a better looking remote but I don't know if it would have worked any better in practice. It's great that this remote takes a standard AAA battery and overall it works pretty well, but I would have preferred a better user experience for the cost.

Works great, I can start my truck from inside my office over 3 blocks away in a downtown setting! Confirmation of lock/unlock is wonderful.

I love this remote start system. I purchased the additional alarm and long range remote. This has been the best system I have owned and I have had many. Great features for a great price!

A remote start system is really wonderful for any area with climate extremes (cold or hot). Being able to remote start my car and have it warm (or cool) before I get there is simply wonderful. The two-way Compustar Remote allows that and also lets me know if the car has started, the temperature in the car, and so much more.

Bought for gf. Easy to use and shows what if doors are left open. Has a great range of about a mile and easily starts the car in winter. In conjunction with an alarm, its modules can be easily upgraded

The distance from which I can turn on my car was improved, 1000 feet is easy as long as there are not too many walls in between. The controller is programmable, can make it turn off the car also. Can change the date, provides car inside temperature. Actual time, can use it as an alarm or set a future time. The first thing you will probably do is to turn off the sound and make it vibrate only. Only one of the two controllers is programmable, the other is just for the distance improvement, Takes sometime to learn to program.

Installed just in time for MN Sub Zero Temperatures. The extended range works great even from inside my local theater. Installed as promised and demonstrated by the installer so I knew how to use when I left the Best Buy installation shop.

No false alarms. The two way system is the way to go. Glad I did not go with Viper.

I have had this product for two months and have not regretted buying it. I am able to warm my car early in the morning when the temperatures are well below freezing, allowing me to jump in the car and take off immediately. At the same time, I don’t have to worry about someone stealing my car, because, the car shuts off as soon as the door is opened. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.

My remote start has been a blessing while working in Iowa, the winters are cold here.

I considered this remote start is the best especially with it comes to Compu start one mile range.

Amazing remote and alarm system, even if it wakes me up at night sometimes because the high winds that we had lately in MA.

the remote is nice and has a good range, but the 4 buttons on the side are all very easy to press by accident. they should be recessed a bit into the frame., they are at the same level as the rest of the frame.

Compustar remote start is a good starter for your vehicle it has great range and works well in and out of buildings definitely need this if you live in cold weather areas

This combo alarm/remote starter was worth the buy and was definitely a great investment for the winter

This alarm is a very good one ! U can start your car one mile away with great features! Now I don't have to go outside and start my truck .all I have to do I push a button from my remote. I love it !

This is a wonderful auto start. I love the visuals it gives off and makes my car look more sporty which is what I was looking for. I would recommend buying a screen protector and cutting it to shape to protect it from scratches which is something I wish had been mentioned to me in hindsight. My only issue is when it confirms that it is on. Its beep pattern is to beep 3 times in a row to confirm it has started and then do that 4 times back to back when it has autostarted. Once or twice is fine but someone always mentions it or looks at you weird if you don't cover the speaker because it is that excessive.
