    I purchased this product since I was told by the associate that it was needed with the Viper alarm I was purchasing. When I called the installer he said it wasn't necessary so I immediately returned it. When I made my alarm installation appointment the installer said he couldn't install it in my vehicle so I had to return the alarm too. Check with the installer before purchasing this item to see if it is absolutely necessary.
