I've been a fan of Remedy since the early Max Payne days and, since their releases are so sparse, I always pay close attention to when they make game announcements. One thing I love about them (and Control) is that they're never afraid to go outside the box, or be innovative. And just like Quantum Break before it, Control serves up a unique story-driven experience with great characters, a thought-provoking narrative, and STELLAR visuals. This is easily on of the best looking games of this generation, even more so on PC, with the RTX features enabled. If you're a fan of Remedy and what they've previously had to offer, or even just a fan of single player, story-driven experiences, then Control is an absolute no-brainer. Highly recommend! I only removed 1 star because there were some performance issues on launch, which have since been patched.

I bought this game originally on PC because of the ray-tracing effects, but I ended up being so engrossed with the action and story that I couldn't stand not owning this game physically. The gameplay is really fun and does a great job of not handing you every power right off the bat, which allowed me enough time with each ability to really master and use them effectively. It's a slow build that starts you off with regular gunplay at the beginning, but by the end of the game you feel like a full-blown super hero. The story is another element that you kind of have to search out for yourself - you'll get the basics of course, but there's so much mystery surrounding it that I found myself meticulously going through every room searching for documents and audio recordings to flesh things out. That's an experience that often feels like a chore in most games, but the amount of weird X-Files stuff going on makes the discoveries worthwhile. The graphics are best on PC with ray-tracing enabled, but this is still a great-looking game on my Xbox One X. This is the first game I've played in a long time that I've been recommending unsolicited to my friends.

While 5 stars to me would be game of the year this title slightly wont reach that claim. An amazing game with lots of momments that have you asking what is going on?! I think there story telling had improved by wide margin. However there is quite a few issues even on the one x, with lost of frame loss and lots of stuttering. On the other hand combat is AMAZING, you truly feel like a super human in this game, but are tasked with going up and down a build over and over and OVER again that gets you bored after a while. Wither way would suggest 1 playthrough for sure!

I play lots of video games and was looking for something new. Control was perfect. The world is interesting and well developed, the characters are likeable, the gameplay is satisfying. It also is a good length - I tend to play a little slower than most and I finished around 17 hours. If you are looking for something new with an interesting story and fun gameplay, definitely give this one a try!

This game is the perfect balance of story, exploration, gameplay and atmosphere!

While it supposedly does not run very well on the base mode Xbox or ps4, it runs surprisingly well on my Xbox one x and looks phenomenal. The powers feel great to use and the sound/visual design is a huge standout. The world is interesting and perfectly corny for the b-movie paranormal plot being used. It’s one of the more original concepts out there and is a hell of a time.

I picked this game up knowing the team. Remedy has been making great games since Max Payne. I'm a huge fan of thier other works such as Alan Wake and Quantum Break. This game continues in those traditions by being a little strange in terms of story. But the game play is where this game really shines. It's fun to play and always keeps you moving.

Control is easily one of the best video games in 2019 and will make you very happy. Xbox one x is the best way to play it on console besides that some issues I’ve had on the PS4 pro

Control was one of best story driven games I’ve played in a while! The story is best described as your watching an horror/ thriller unfold. The gameplay feels fresh due to your unique powers. I would totally recommend this title if you enjoy good stories.

Remedy has always made great games since Max Payne and my favorite: Alan Wake. This is a very good action in the non-conventional sense. There is some super natural stuff going on and it is only accentuated by the incredible graphics. The environments and characters all look incredible and will keep you playing.

I have really liked the game so far. The story is really interesting. The gameplay is really fun. The steel case on this game is really awesome. Worth the extra money to get the steel case edition

remedy is great and making games like this and what i mean by that is weird scifi action games that makes u think, the games play is simple and easy to get the hang of he story is good and might take a second play through for some to get what the story is about is all it worth wanting for a sale out rent if your not a remedy fan in my play through the side missions and bosses was better then the main missions and bosses to get the full weight of this game its best to explore and play both side mission as well..........

CONTROL is shockingly good. It is the evoluti0n of Remedy's oeuvre and sits comfortably 0n an obsidian throne as the current Queen of narrative action-driven games. Everything from the gunplay, abilities, graphical effects, sound design, and world building lore to the singular brutalist structure that is this game's playground are meticulously and lovingly crafted for 0ne purpose. To grab hold of you and never let go. This game will CONTROL your attenti0n from the first gorgeous HDR frame to the credits.

One of the best games ever. If you love Quantum Break, Alan Wake and games like that, you'll love this. The story is very interesting.

One of the better games I played in 2019. I’m still working on the dlc, but the main game was fantastic! Great purchase.

Deep storyline FPS with Si-Fy adventure plot. Very fast moving and pretty good graphics. Recommend.

I've been playing that Fallout (MMO) basically every night for over a year! Until 2 weeks ago when I bought this game CONTROL, which I have not stopped playing! What'd you say the name of that other game was. Be forewarned: Start playing THIS game, and you'll forget the clock, let alone your life Any spare moment will be invested in this game, you will feel the need!

A game that is incredibly underrated. It’s an amazing follow up to the developers last games such as Quantum Break or Alan Wake. If you want a solid 10 hour game with a complex story then this is the game for you.
