A better alternative to a convoluted adapter

I ordered my RTX 4070Ti, installed it in my tower, and forgot that it uses the new 12VHPWR adapter. Nivida's solution is an adapter that takes two 6-pin PCIe power connectors and converts them to the 12VHPWR plug. It's fine, but it requires extra space between the graphics card and side casing. It's also big and having thick power cords coming off an already large graphics card just doesn't look nice.
I have Corsair's RM850x power supply, and this works well with it. My only (small) issue was the two 6-pin plugs. They need to be close together and, with the way the wiring is set up, the cable prefers that they be side-by-side. I tried putting one connector above the other, but the crossover wire wasn't long enough.
Other than that, I haven't had any issues with the cable. I've popped open my side panel every now and then to check on the cable's temperature, but it's been fine while gaming. Despite my small gripe, this is still a better solution than having an adapter that splits to two 6-pin connectors, especially when the PCIe cables that comes with Corsair's power supply have a daisy chain option (and you shouldn't do that with graphics cards).
I highly recommend this if you have a Corsair power supply or compatible model from a different company. Of course, YMMV when using a different brand.

Safe option that cleans up your pc with 600w potential. Bought this for my Gigachad OC 4090. Using this cable means not being forced to use the nvidia adapters. Looks great and clean too

I was an early adopter of the RTX4090 and this cable bailed me out. Plugged right in and has been working flawlessly for over a year now. I do undervolt my card a bit so I'm probably not pushing the specs to the max, but I'm running the card hard and it's never given me a seconds problem.

Works perfectly with my ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC, replacing four PCIe cables. As a result, it largely cleaned up the internals of my case. I have had no issues under load running Flight Simulator at the highest settings.

Have used for about a month with my 4090 with no issues on a RM850x. wish it was right angle at the card connector but that is yet to be seen from any manufacturer -_-

Perfect replacement for the awful octopus cable that comes with the 40 series FE cards! So much cleaner and easier to cable manage! It also utilizes one less 8 pin connector to the PSU and still supplies the card with the correct power!

I ordered online and it arrived fast enough but even though the package was like new the 600w cable inside was not, i think is the first time ever that i had this kind of situation with a bestbuy product, and since i need my pc for work, i couldn’t ask for an exchange, is working but … who knows for how long .

The original adapter create by Nvidia is too cluncky and ruin the look inside the pc. The corsair adapter is a good solution in maintaining a clean pc look while still having up to 600 watt power delivery.

Purchased this direct from Corsair. Works exactly as stated. Same power delivery as with the shipped adapter for the Suprim 4090. Has a much more obvious "Click" when seated fully as well. Using with a HX1000.

Perfect upgrade to the standard nvidia pig tail plug. It’s a bit stiff but has to be because of the amount of power that it deals with. Easy to bend and does not bump against case panel on the inside.

If you have a 40 series card I definitely recommend this. Mine wouldn’t fit in my case without this. Plus with all the talk of fires with these cards it’s worth the. 20$

Works great! I have it driving an Nvidia 3090Ti Founders Edition with an older Corsair Hx1200i PSU. No problems, and no dunker adapters.
