The mouse actually is one of my favorites lately. It has a lot of buttons pretty much all the side and standard buttons are customizable. It does have RGB, which, at first is amusing, but it does have three zones to adjust to your liking. Honestly its pretty much like any other standard Corsair mouse you've used. Also lastly, battery life is "okay" They say 50 hours and regardless of me having the RGB on or off, it seems to last about that long. This mouse can also be used plugged in (which you have to do to calibrate the surface) Now to the things i don't like.. 1. This mouse has an issue with waking up. it will wake up just fine, but if you're using a Bluetooth connection sometimes it will fail to reconnect unless you manually do so. This could be the device I'm using but all other Bluetooth devices i have seem to connect just fine. 2. It consistently resets its position after wake up: By this i mean if you're using the 2.4ghz mode, and have it plugged into a PC, it will not just pick up and move right after it wakes up. It first resets its tracking, which causes a delay of a few seconds before you can actually use the mouse. I consider it a minor annoyance especially when you have the mouse set to the lowest sleep setting, which IS customizable but still. 3. Mouse is not detected by software: This is almost a deal breaker for me because it is very, very annoying to have to manually unplug the mouse and replug it in, constantly. Its almost every time i reboot my tower i have to do this. Don't get me wrong, the mouse still works but the software does not see it as a device connected. I am pretty sure this is a software issue but the thing that truly bothers me is the fact that there is also no programmed or saved functions built into the mouse, you NEED the software otherwise it will just default to a set function. So you can see why this is annoying when you have your RGB setup in a specific way, or macros setup and can't use them. So again not to make this sound ultra harsh or something, but realistically i feel that these issues can be resolved with future updates. This mouse is new after all. As much as i dislike waiting on updates, things can eventually get better with them in time.

Literally! I bought this yesterday and played for ten hours straight. My other mouse is a Scimitar Pro, and when compaired, the Dark Core feels lighter and more comfortable during long sessions. The material used in the part that fits in your palm feels soft, even though it is not. Overall, it feels great in your hand. No finger numbness or palm sweat! :-) Battery life is excellent, btw. On an hour's charge, and ten hours use, the battery did not die on me. The only sacrifice for going wireless that i found is the lack of Lighting Link on the mouse. This is a small price to pay, considering my Scimitar, feels clunky by comparison and the metal + plastic is just not as comfortable... even though is solid as a tank. After gaming on the Scimitar for two solid years, i look forward to the extra comfort and features of the Dark Core. If you are considering this mouse and are already set up with Corsair peripherals, buy it!

AMAZING Mouse with 2 MAJOR FLAWS

AMAZING Mouse with 2 MAJOR flaws. I only deducted a star as the flaw is somewhat related I suspect. Having used this mouse since it first came out to the public... PROS -The feel of this mouse is PERFECT for people with long fingers. I have not felt instantly comfortable with any mouse ever since the G5/G7 series from the Logitech. This mouse got it right. -The glide is SUPER smooth -Being right handed, I love that the left side of the mouse has a big resting spot for my thumb yet has 0 impact on control. CONS -CUE Software on this mouse is EXTREMELY buggy. I suspect this mouse needs a firmware update without a doubt because it leads to the next flaw. -If you use this mouse connected, it's perfect. However, if you use the mouse wirelessly, it has some annoying random ghost movements. Meaning, it moves sporadically all over the place. I notice though it's less likely if you plug in the USB dongle directly to the PC than with the wire connector. I'm also hoping that the CUE software can fix this issue. Until the wireless issue is fixed, I'm using this mouse as a wired mouse. The pros outweigh the cons significantly and I just frankly love it.

This mouse has worked out great so far. Switching between all the modes can take some getting used to and the software is a little strange and takes up a ridiculous amount of space on your machine (almost 1TB) but it does a lot more than just run the mouse. It does function without issue and I enjoy the Bluetooth and rf wireless options. Bluetooth is convenient but limits some options vs the rf mode as it won't connect to the software.

I purchased this mouse along with an Alienware m15 to use predominantly for work but also for moderate gaming. It's definitely more of a budget gaming mouse than some of the Razer stuff but the mouse is great, and works really well for both gaming and non-gaming applications. I keep it plugged in when I'm using it for gaming, and the response time is great. I also like the thumb rest on the bottom left. You do have to get used to its bulky size though, especially if you're used to using smaller-format laptop mice. Lastly, the battery life is great with this mouse. I get 5-7 hours unplugged, and that's with the lights active!

Great mouser for gaming and every day use. Lots of customizable buttons and the ability to change pointer speed at the touch of a button. Software options don't always work right. Says each color zone is independently customizable, yet when trying to change it sends to all zones. Option to use 3 different connections is a plus. Wired, wireless(dongle), and bluetooth.

Wired or wireless this mouse functions perfectly! RGB works great with iCue (which can be buggy), and having the ability to store profiles on the mouse is a nice touch. The 'pinky' shelf as I call it is a bonus, but can be removed if needed. This mouse definitely oozes quality and fit my hand well. The DPI switch buttons are well placed and work on the fly which can be really handy. Would definitely buy again, but I suspect this thing is going to last me a long long time. Battery life is good too when operating wirelessly.

This mouse does have three RGB zones for you to be able to change the colour to your liking and it has a few programmable buttons on it that can be used for like push to talk in a game or a macro in a word document. the DPI on this mouse is extremely high so you can have an extremely high monitor resolution and not have to worry about a slow-moving cursor. The wireless feature on the mouse has very little lag to where I don't even notice it in a game like Rainbow Six Siege. Overall a great gaming mouse I would recommend to most people who like Corsair products.

    - Comfortable hand fit with 2 sets of side attachments to fit your liking - Many buttons, which you can configure for various actions or key presses using the iCUE software - Long battery life - 2.4GHz or Bluetooth - Works wired while recharging or wirelessly - USB hubs can't provide enough power to charge or even to run the wireless dongle. It comes with a nice USB cable covered in a braided fabric, which you can use to position the dongle close to your mouse when wireless, and can swap out to the dongle to plug in the mouse when charging.

I have been using this mouse for 6~ months. Solid mouse with very smooth tracking and good DPI settings. My only complaint are the buttons near the left thumb. You will often find yourself accidentally pressing the thumb buttons or struggling to press the ones in the very front.

This is a very comfortable and feature rich mouse. When it works like it's supposed to, it's awesome, but I've encountered a few minor inconveniences with it. I don't know if it's a software issue or if the mouse itself needs an update, but I have to pull the dongle and reinsert it every time I boot my system or else it acts like there's just a generic mouse plugged in. The colors will cycle instead of staying on the static color that I set, the sensitivity isn't right, the DPI button on top doesn't respond, and the ICUE software doesn't recognize anything is plugged in. As soon as I pull the dongle and put it back in, it goes back to normal. Another issue that has gone unresolved is the time out setting. Doesn't matter if I have it disabled or set to the max time, it always times out and goes to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity. While I'm actively gaming, though, it's a sweet mouse. Hopefully they can get the kinks worked out. I should note, that when it's plugged into USB, it works flawlessly.

I like that it’s wireless but needs to be charged constantly, has no trouble connecting but at times when plugged in for charging it disconnects. If it had a better built in chargeable battery I’d give it 5 stars. The feel of the mouse is great though

Pros - When it works like it should its a great gaming mouse. Colors are sharp and the customization, the DPI and accuracy are very good. Cons - Lighting constantly just shuts off. Sleep mode happens even when its not turned on. Sometimes the mouse will jump across the screen for no reason. At times the mouse will have a 1-2 second lag when first moving it. Overall for the price its a very bad product. My $15 wireless mouse worked better than this one. Not worth the purchase.

    Beta mouse?

The actual feel of the mouse is great, and lightweight. Coming from the Logitech G900, the whole mouse itself feels like an early access/beta product, I want to like it and keep trying to use it.....but I keep seeing moments where it randomly stops or I can't move the mouse at all and or a huge delay just pops up out of no where. I'm on firmware 0.33 which is supposed to fix all of this. Also I really don't like the sniper button and the placement of the forward/back buttons on the mouse, it's so hard to press that I end up always hitting the sniper button. There is also no lighting link rgb for the mouse in the CUE software which is so strange and lastly you have to plug in the mouse by usb if you want to calibrate the surface for it. Each time I plug it in via USB, there seems to be some profile conflict error with CUE and it ends up resetting my whole profile/dpi settings. I'm going to keep giving it a try and hope a firmware update fixes most of the issues above if not then I will switch to the Logitech G903.

Since buying this product, I've been impressed with everything except the battery life. I'm getting MAYBE 3 days of moderate use out if it - with none of the RGB lights on, etc. But it does come with a wired option which is what I'll stick with. I have some loss of sensation in my hands following a neck injury so it took me going through about five other options until I found one that fits my hand properly and is textured enough to make it easy to feel for me. Overall a great product. Has a Bluetooth/Wifi connect option rather than wired. Both work great but as stated - battery life is below average at best.
