This mouse felt so good in the hands, the shape and feel of the mouse was just perfect for me. If I was looking for a wired mouse I would’ve loved this mouse. But because I was looking for a good wireless one, this one was just not it.
Despite feeling great, it just didn’t track good. It skipped around very slightly, and it would annoy the crud out of me. It also snapped to the top left a couple times, and it just want a good experience. I returned it and got the Logitech g703 and have not had an issue yet. Perfect tracking.

I love how this mouse fits my hand especially with the different swappable grips. Feels and works great! Battery only lasts a day of heavy use before having to plug in. The USB cable is high quality so leaving plugged in is no issue.

I was pleased with the overall function of the mouse but it just ended up being to big for me to get comfortable with. The side buttons are also pretty awkward

I bought this mouse to replace my Logitech G502, as the fit has never been absolutely perfect. The Dark Core is similar but has a wider profile that fits my hand a bit better! Works great wired or in wireless mode I’ve had no issues what so ever and the charge lasts at least a few days with moderate use. Love Corsair and their products!

I'm not a PC gamer by any means so I wasnt sure what to start with. After a recommendation from one of the Best Buy associates I landed on this one. It's very smooth, super customizable and even has a spot for where you can rest your thumb. I'm sure I'm haven't used this device to its fullest yet but I'm really enjoying it.

I originally had a wired mouse because I thought it would work better. No way, this mouse works way better and you can choose to have it wired or wireless. It’s rechargeable so I don’t have to worry about finding batteries for it either. Overall great performance and speed. Would definitely buy another one for family or friend.

This is a good mouse for shooter gaming, one of the best features for this is the variable dpi settings. Also it feels good in the hand, and comes with some extra side plates to change how it sits in hand

I love this mouse. It is amazing in regards to the use I have for it. I use it for school, gaming, and just every day searching. I love how it is both wireless and not. It has rechargable batteries and that is awesome... The only complaint I have is that it does not quite fit my hand the way I wish it did

Falls short of being a good gaming mouse

The Dark Core Wireless Gaming Mouse by Corsair provides gamers with the functionality of having a wireless gaming mouse with the flexibility of a wired mouse. The mouse can be used by either connecting the proprietary 2.4 GHz receiver to your computer or connecting the mouse to your computer via Bluetooth, adding to the convenience that is provided by this mouse. A sleek black design with a total of 9 buttons, the majority of which can be programmed using the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE). The Dark Core Wireless Gaming Mouse also has RBG lighting that can be adjusted through the Corsair Utility Engine.
Installing the mouse was no problem and my computer was able to pick it up immediately (thank you Plug-n-Play), but when I downloaded and installed the Corsair Utility Engine, I was having a difficult time getting the mouse configured. After the mouse received its firmware update, I started customizing the settings on my mouse. Adjusting the DPI settings, enabling a static color for the RBG lights, and testing the action/macro system. After I was done setting up my configuration, I noticed you don’t have the option to set a specific profile as your default and when I closed the Corsair Utility Engine since I was done, my profile was changed to back to the OEM default.
Frustrated, I tried it again only to run into the same exact issue. At this point I gave up on creating a custom profile and made my changes to the default profile, which that time it saved my settings and I was up and running. The next issue I immediately ran into was with the placement of the buttons on the mouse.
The large thumb button which is labeled in CUE as “Sniper” is a good size and easy to hit with my thumb, the bad thing though is that two additional buttons were placed on the left and right side of the thumb button. The button to the right is also easy to hit (since all you have to do is pull your thumb back), but the button on the left is difficult to hit, which usually requires you to move your hand slightly to reach the button.
As you can imagine, especially when you’re gaming, the few milliseconds it takes to adjust and hit the left button (for a macro or whatnot) next to the thumb button could mean death in your game. There are two additional buttons located on the left side of the Left Mouse Button (LMB). The placement of these buttons are also not natural for the hand and requires that your finger be moved slightly and be angled to hit either button.
Overall, the mouse is a decent option if you’re looking for a device that supports a proprietary 2.4 GHz receiver, connect via Bluetooth, or use a USB cable to be a wired mouse. For gaming, there are several issues with the design that might be an issue for some people. The Corsair Utility Engine software could definitely use some work so that it can be more intuitive instead of being a nuisance.

This is the only bluetooth mouse (and I've owned over a dozen) that has had ZERO connectivity issues. I can not find a single con regarding any aspect of the mouse. It is the most perfect electronic device I have owned. That may sound a little over the top, but Il've had this mouse for a few months and not a single glitch of any kind.

Works great, feels great in the hand and I like the ability to change sensitivity of the cursor directly on the side of the mouse. The wheel feels really good and the colors from the lights are great. The cord that comes with it is plenty long so you can use the mouse plugged in while it charges.

So much potential but such a letdown.
I love the way it feels in the hand and the build quality is decent enough.
Quick list of issues I’m having and I know others are as well.
Mouse stuttering in games, losing the wireless connection, firmware won’t update, software isn’t user friendly at all. All and all it’s just a total wreak of a mouse. Now that’s not to say they won’t clean it up with updates but at the moment this new mouse is not a good option at all for wireless. For a wired connection it seems fine but I didn’t buy it to stay wired.
I feel like Corsair lost an opportunity here with this mouse because it has so much potential but was obviously pushed out too soon. Generally speaking I stick with Logitech and this is why.

On the good side, I like the shape of this mouse and it feels good in use. The mouse can also be used in USB wired or Bluetooth mode and has a rechargeable battery. Software is also available on Corsair's website for programming various buttons and adjusting colors. On the down side, I've had some issues playing my favorite shooter, Quake III Arena, wherein the mouse had some lag when using Bluetooth and intermittently starts a rapid shooting mode while shooting in game. The mouse seems to work ok in other games so this may just be an isolated issue
