Kind of useless as yes it is just a stand but for the price you would think it would work all the time... ive had nothing but problems with the Corsair software. Something at this price should work regardless of having the software open or not, it doesn’t even light up if the app isn’t open. Very disappointing. Overall it is a cool stand but it is not worth near the retail price.

This is a stand with lights. LOL. It is a nice compliment for the gaming computer environment but priced way too high. If you've got the cash to blow on it then go for it. I found it to be a bit of a waste.

Was Great at the Beginning, but....

I purchased this in February 2020 as a birthday treat to myself. I have almost everything Corsair: my RAM, power supply, case, fans, headset, keyboard, mouse, etc. So for me, the iCue software wasn't a downside for me. I was used to navigating it and working with it. I got this headset stand because I have everything else Corsair, so might as well get something that goes with my whole set up, right? At first, it was great. I had the wireless USB for my headset connected to it, along with the charger for my headset. It worked. No issues, no quality drops. It was a bit annoying dealing with it sometimes when it came to windows, but nothing extreme, really. Now, 4 months in, it isn't working anymore. Whether I used it wirelessly or wired, if it's through the headset stand, the quality drops IMMENSELY. It's fine at first but after about 5 minutes, the sound gets staticky and robotic for anything. When I'm in a call with my friends, the quality suddenly drops and everyone sounds like robots. When I'm listening to music, it starts to sound like what I said before: static and robotic. To verify it wasn't an issue with my motherboard or headset, I tried multiple different things: -I uninstalled the drivers for the headset stand and my headset and reinstalled it. Didn't work. -I checked for firmware or software updates on iCue. Nothing. -I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iCue. Didn't work. -I tried different USB ports for the headset stand on my motherboard. Didn't work. -I even tried reinstalling WINDOWS. Didn't work. -Even now, after I updated my BIOS, nothing. Still the same problem. It's possible that it could be an issue between iCue and Windows since iCue is known to have been a bit buggy and there was a Windows update recently. But the thing is, when I connect my headset directly to my computer or even to a USB Port Hub, it works just fine. I was really hoping it wasn't the headset stand because I had only had it for 4 months, but in the end, it seems that it is. I already ruled out other issues. Only good thing is that I have the Geek Squad Protection plan for it and can exchange it. I might try it again, but for now, this is looking really bad for me as a fan of Corsair's products. If you do plan to get this product, I HIGHLY recommend the Geek Squad Protection plan. Corsair products are good, but not usually meant for long-term use. The GSP will let you replace the product once it starts to act up or fails like mine did. I'm going to give this product another chance, as it could be that I got a bad unit, but if the same problem persists, I won't invest in it any longer.

      Hi Esme,

Thanks for your feedback. However, our products are great both for short term and long term so it's unfortunate that you did run into an issue. Another thing I'd like to point out is that an extended warranty is not necessary when this product has a 2 year warranty directly through us. In my opinion its a poor design, the part where it holds earphones is small, the cables are short, just an annoying piece of metal with a light on it. Only give it two stars for the lights on the bottom and on the logo which is pretty cool. If that's all you care about then cool.

I bought it with the fact that it was a metal stand with some lights on it in mind and I was still disappointed. Definitely needs a refresh from Corsair and a major price drop. Returned.

If the computer is locked, it defaults to Rainbow

It's an ok stand, but the dealbreaker is that if you lock your computer, it switches to the default RGB colors. The default RGB color scheme cannot be changed, so you're stuck with the Rainbow RGB pattern. This can really clash with your other RGB devices that have onboard hardware memory for RGB profiles.

      Hi John,

That's correct, no on-board memory on the ST100.

Good quality material, however difficult to set up and frequently settings change to be the default audio ouput, creating issues. If you have a Corsair headset with the USB connection it won't connect to the headset stand.

    Light show and Errors

Originally bought this for my husband's gaming set up but it didn't work for his needs so he gave it to me to use. I didn't really have any problems with it until six months or so ago. My computer started to do a blue screen that I thought was related to the age and issue of the computer. So when I got a new computer, imagine my surprise when the blue screen happened. I was getting an error code saying one of my device's drivers wasn't working or was failing. The only device that carried over from the other computer that went untested was the stand. I also had to put the stand on it's side to even get the thing to work and it disconnected/reconnected off and on so much I was getting a bit of a light show going on. So definitely not a purchase I am willing to do again.
