A big disappointment from a historically top brand

The keyboard itself works well, only one squeaky key (Q) but that's always a risk with mechanical switches and fixable, but the keycaps are cheaply made which is shocking from Corsair, a company whose hardware has always been astounding in my experience. Within a few months, the black on multiple keys has worn down, obscuring the letters and letting more RGB light shine through the keys. The edges of the caps has also worn down. It looks awful. For the price point this should not be an issue; I have had cheap Rosewill boards with better quality keycaps than this corsair keyboard. I didn't even realize this was a potential problem with keycaps, but after searching I am far from the only person to experience this issue. I will not be buying another corsair keyboard :( I'm not going to RMA keys every 4 months. Looking to find a better replacement, wishing I could get a full refund to put toward a better quality board. It doesn't matter if it works well if the keycaps wear down and it looks like hot poo. You don't spring for RGB and then tolerate mediocre aesthetics. Corsair: Fix your keycaps. Bring your quality up to par with your cases and RAM. This isn't a product worthy of your sails on it.

Wow 1 - Lighting. It's all about that RGB lighting, if not then why buy this board? Can make multiple profiles for different effects. 2 - Build quality is superb. The Gunmetal brushed aluminum is sexy to look at. It's a heavy board mind you, but I doubt you'll be dragging it across your desk for fun anyways. 3 - Media keys are nice and responsive. Use it for iTunes, Youtube, Games and etc and all work just fine. 4 - Marco keys (G keys to the left) are programmable through the iCue software you DL from the corsair site. 5 - Keyboard clicks are loud, but not too loud for me. Being a mechanical keyboard, this is obvious. Very responsive keys (to the point were it could be considered hyper sensitive). You barely touch a key and 99.999%, it WILL register.

Pros: - high quality built with aluminum top - 6 macros + fully customizable media buttons - so much customization for both functions and lights - 3 onboard profiles for you to take your keyboard anywhere...I wish they have 5 but 3 is good enough....who needs 200+ in the new K100????? - mx-speed type wonderfully although it might need some time to get used to - I prefer this version wrist rest instead of the new K95 XT... The XT version does not allow me to type as quick and as comfy as this one does. Plus this version wrist rest has 2 faces for your liking - got mine on sale for $120...I think at this price point, it is a steal even in 2021 Cons: - Thick cable and takes up 2 usb slots - USB 2.0 output....in 2021???? We need 3.0 Corsair - heavy!!!! - iCUE4 is messy. Every time my computer goes to sleep and wake up, the keyboard does not load my profile...until I close iCUE in task manager and reopen it....It gets really annoying...

Great keyboard. Had it since 2021 and no issues. Wish this came in wireless. I don't regret the purchase, as it still feels premium. Have been using this daily for work from home and for gaming and still going on strong. Switches still sound as good as they did when i bought it. Pick it up on sale!

This keyboard is one of the best keyboards I have ever used and here's why: 1. The lighting. It's all about the lighting for this keyboard. Each switch is individually lit and you get a 13-zone lightbar that wraps around the top. The lighting is very accurate and vibrant but thats isn't even the best part. With the Corsair CUE+ software you can customize it to your liking (see pic). I made my keyboard all vaporwave-y :) 2. Build quality is impeccable as usual from Corsair. The body is anodized black aluminum with silver accents. Every key very evenly balanced and stable on each press. The keys have a nice smooth feel to them, and Corsair has included Gaming WASD and QWERTY textured keycaps. 3. The media buttons are very thoughtfully arranged and solid feeling. They are also lit with RGB LEDs. 4. The keys, with their smaller travel distance, are very snappy and responsive feeling. I don't get fatigued at all with this switch type. The wrist rest is fantastic as well. It has two sides with different textures so you can customize it to your liking and is long enough to support your wrist with a very slight angle. I've been using mechanical keyboards for 6-7 years now and this is hands down the best one I have used since I started. In short, if you're on the fence buy this keyboard now!

Great Keyboard for typing and for FPS Games

first i will answer a question.. WHY SHOULD YOU BUY A MECHANICAL KEYBOARD?? It will last a longer than a normal membrane keyboard, build quality will much more better, if you need tactile feedback if you pressed a key and like the clicky sound. easier to clean, easier to replace a key if its broken. But remember there are many types of mechanical keys look into it before buying, do your research. - its comes the latest Cherry MX Speed built for FPS games.. if you are looking for a subtle but noticable mechanical clicks with faster actuation time, i would recommend cherry mx speed.. yes it might be pricy since its the flagship mechanical keyboard of Corsair.. but it will last a life time, you will feel it when you use it, Built like a Tank.. cherry mx speed keys should last about 20million clicks.. - RGB is awesome you could customize with Corsairs iQue.. - the keyboard is Exceptionally built, aluminum body, and comes with a hand rest with interchangeable textures.. - there are customizable dedicated textured keys for gaming - has and USB pass through - the key board comes with a key puller and textured WASD keys - l kinda dig the volume rocker, with textured and is a scroll button - the cable is braided and strong - the keyboard has a slit for keeping the headphone cable and to prevent the keyboard from wobbling The only con i could think for is its Price, but considering the premium built quality its not that high price.. i would say its might be little it over the hill for most folks but if you have money to spare, Go for it..

The K95 Platinum is an amazing keyboard. The build quality of this keyboard is incredible. Immediately taking it out of the box, you can feel the weight and sturdiness of the metal frame. The cherry MX keys have a great feel and the sound that you look for in a premium gaming keyboard. I haven't had a chance to play with the RGB lighting just yet (using on a work laptop while I wait for my PC parts to come in for my first build!) but the stock RGB pulse is great, the colors are amazing and the on/off switch at the top of the board allows me to tone it down if I'm working at night and don't want a club scene. I got this on sale so I didn't pay the $200 price tag but after using it for a week or so, I would say it's well worth the $200 and a steal for any sort of sale price you can get it for. Pros: Sturdy and premium design Programmable macro keys and included key caps Great RGB configuration options Cons: Decently large keyboard especially with the 10key pad. Might be tough on a smaller desk Expensive if at full price (but worth it) Mistakenly hit the macro keys when trying to hit ESC (nit-picking) Overall I highly recommend this keyboard for it's build quality, responsive keys, and great customization options.

I have never owned a mechanical keyboard before today. I have to say it's a bit different than what I have been used to but it is very quickly becoming AMAZING! I never knew what I was missing. The key strokes are clean and as far as looks go, I mean, you cant go wrong with RGB everything. The lighting on this thing is incredible. I went into Icue and set it up to sync with my mouse and all of the lighting in my rig. Mind blowing! The size of it was slightly smaller than my old keyboard so it fit nicely on my desk. The brushed metal finish is top notch. I would highly recommend this product.

This is a really great mechanical keyboard. So far I have had this keyboard for a few weeks total. The build quality of the keyboard is really good. The materials are very nice and everything is well put together. The frame feels very sturdy and is nice to look at. The lighting is fantastic and really makes the keyboard stand out. In terms of features, this has it all. Personally, I don't use Corsair's software to control the lighting and I just rely on the default settings which are more than enough for me. However, if you wanted to use their software I'm sure that you could customize it nicely. At first I was uncertain about going with the MX speed keys as I did not have an opportunity to type on them before purchasing this keyboard but overall I am pretty pleased. I've previously used silent and blue keys. Although blue keys are my preference, I can't purchase them because they disturb everyone in the house! Silent keys were nice but a little dull to type on. These feel pretty good to type on in comparison but aren't quite as loud as blue keys. They may be a little sensitive for some, but they work well for me. I know that many mechanical keyboard enthusiasts would not recommend this keyboard but, honestly, I think its a great option among many in the market. I did purchase this at a substantial discount, however. I'm not sure that I would pay full price for it because there are many other options in the market for less money but at a discount its a pretty nice option. The only issue I have had so far is that the initial model I received appeared to have some sort of wiring issue. It would randomly cut off and stop working and would occasionally not turn on while booting up the PC. However, Best Buy's customer service was fantastic in getting this resolved for me. They exchanged the product for a new one. So far, the model that I have received in exchange has not had any issues so I won't take any points off as that may have been a fluke.

Great typing feel with this keyboard. All the keys are responsive and the board feels solidly built. The lighting is easy to set up and fun to play with, and the macro keys are useful for opening programs with a quick key press and binding new or more easily accessible actions in games. It is a bit pricey, and it's my first premium keyboard, so I can't really compare it to similar priced boards, but if you can get it on sale, or have the budget, this keyboard goes very well with higher end PCs.

    Corsair's flagship keyboard K95

I wanted another keyboard since I'm working from home and my backup was not so good. My main keyboard was a 10 keyless Corsair k65 Lux, a solid keyboard in its own right although I have started to miss the number pad after a number of years. When I saw the K95 on sale I thought yes that's the one, if its like a better version of the k65 and it has a number pad, that's exactly what I want. I've had it for a few weeks now and I can safely say I'm not disappointed. Its a great full size keyboard. I love the USB pass through that comes with the k95 and the k65. With it I can use a wired mouse instead of fiddling with a rechargeable one. When looking at other keyboards this was a make or break selling point for me. The construction is solid, the palm rest is comfortable and the RGB's are bright. I like the extra key caps that come with this. They have extra texturing and are shaped differently so I know exactly where I am just by feel. This keyboard probably has more functionality than I need with the 6 macro keys on the side. I also like the roller for the media volume which is an improvement over the k65. On a philosophical level, I'm a big fan of the iCue software that runs Corsair products. Sometimes the UI can be confusing but overall I think its great that I can sync the RGB on my RAM, keyboard and mouse. Eventually I plan to get Corsair LED's so I can sync all the RGB goodness. In our current era of mass production, I think most mechanical keyboards will more or less be very comparable to their competitors so the basic function of a keyboard is a moot point - it will work. So a keyboard purchase really boils down to aesthetics and the extras. In my case I'd already bought into the Corsair lineup with RGB RAM and an ironclaw mouse so getting the k95 made the most sense to me. Bottomline: The K95 is Corsair's flagship keyboard, iCue is a great selling point, I love the USB pass-through and it doesn't disappoint in terms of quality.

The greatest keyboard I've ever used... but I got it 50% off. I would not pay more than 100 for this keyboard. If you can get it for that or less I would definitely recommend it. Sounds great, solid construction, great lighting, nice wrist pad, cords... all of it is top production value... but still not worth full sticker price. $200.

This keyboard feels amazing Not so loud like hardcore mechanical but loud enough that it feels satisfying. I use to have an old membrane keyboard and it was okay but moving to this is great. I cant go back the only con to me was that the keys are sensitive but that's probably because I had to mash the keys on my old keyboard. PS: the rgb at night is nice and the arms rest is a good 4/5

The hardware is fantastic, great feel, great response, love the clickity-clack, and the RGB!! The software running the RGB, however, randomly freezes and I have not been able to get it to successfully load gaming profiles that it advertised should load when a game it should support is spun up (checked forums, etc, couldn't find a solution). I got the keyboard on a sale but would have been very upset had I paid full price and was left with buggy software which rendered the RGB effects useless. Overall I'd recommend it if you could get it on a great sale. But I wouldn't recommend purchasing this product otherwise.

I got this on sale for 109.99 and it was supposed to be the MX Speed switches, but when I picked up it was the brown ones. Someone messed up in the store. I prefer brown but they were more expensive. This keyboard feels really nice, the lighting is great, there are a lot of macros and the wrist rest feels nice. The amount of customization on this thing is crazy. Would highly recommend

This is one of the best rgb keyboards out there. It has a durable build and the MX Speed keys are very responsive. I love the dedicated media buttons and the included wrist rest. The keys are also easy to remove in the event that you want to get custom key caps. My only complaint is that the wrist rest is attached via hooks instead of being magnetic.

Solid keyboard. Build quality is impressive, and the brushed aluminum finished looks sleek. For those into it, RGB is about as good as it gets on a keyboard (Although you have to live with using ICUE). Keys will be a point of contention to some. My board had Cherry Speeds, which may have a learning curve to comfortably use. However if you like Linear keys and choose to stick it out, you can get used to the oversensitive activation. I am not a fan of the stock keycaps on this board. I don’t mind the bold font, but the quality of the caps feels cheap, which is disappointing for an otherwise premium board. The keys will trap oil and just don’t feel like quality. (I will note that the most recent K95 Platinum has swapped these cheap caps for a better product). Wrist rest is pretty mediocre. Will be swapping it out along with the caps. (The new K95 also has an upgraded rest) Overall, a great keyboard that is only held back by some cheap components, although the ones I disliked can be swapped out per preference.

This keyboard is sick, the rgb software from corsair is a lite confusing but when you get it down its cool, a ton of profiles and set ups. The keys are really nice you don't get any lose of typing characters when using this keyboard, but the space button is a little weird, if you hit the edges of the key it'll kinda get stuck and look off but I guess you have to hit the center of the key for it be normal. The pad for your wrists is great for keeping your wrists straight and from a weird angle.

Ive had this for about 2 years and it has been the best keyboard I’ve ever owned. Usually by now, they are getting worn out but this one has lasted well beyond others. Still looks and feels new! I keep it clean with regular screen cleaner and a microfiber. Its also easy to clean under the keys by removing them. I recently added new keycaps for the looks
