I was in need of a new PSU, so I chose the RM850x because I read what was in it as well as the overall ratings it had. The PSU performs beautifully and exceeded my expectations. My system looks much cleaner now too. The previous faulty PSU had multi colored cables that stuck out like a soar thumb, now the cables look significantly nice in my system and they blend well. Also came with a 12vhp cable and port, not that I am using it since my GPU doesn't require it, but it's nice to know that I have that option if I upgrade to something that needs it in the future.

works great. its been quiet, no hicups on power delivery, no issues at all. there are cheaper psu out there, but this one is highly rated and should last you for years provided you dont need more power down the road.

I generally have never had any problem with Corsair products. This power supply replaced my mothers from 2012. Yeah 2012. They're generally only supposed to last 7 to maybe 10 years and that thing was over 13 years old. Well her original power supply which was an ATX one from like 2011 or 12 and I think it was still okay but it was just so old that when I put my computer parts in it from 8 years ago it demanded more power and I didn't want to have it. Underpowered so I got her about 100 maybe 200 w more than she needed just in case he needs more power later on. Overall Corsair products are great products until you need customer service. I bought a power supply a 1200 w one and it's supposed to come with two pcie cables for the graphic cards. For some reason it was a mistake in the box and it was only one in there and most gpus nowadays are so overpowered to use three plugs back in the day. Corsair used to give you more than what you needed back in the day they used to use two, so they'd give you like four or even five. This one didn't even give you enough for a High-End graphic card which uses three plugs. The mid-range ones use two so you know you always got to give a spare even when you're buying a piece of furniture. They always give you at least one or two extra screws in case one of them gets stripped or they break and you know and then they give you dual PCI Express adapters which can become unstable and where two plugs plug into one power unit and it's just not a safe thing to use. Most of the friends that I have never use those cuz they say they can be unstable they can heat up. One said they had theirs melt. It's just not safe. You need three separate pcie cables, not two combined into one so I said why did you even include those? If you're going to include one and give us extra pcie cables, it took them over a month. Numerous mistakes. Then they sent me four PCIE dual cables and I'm like that's not what I asked for. In fact I said specifically don't send me these for one reason or another and that's what they did the first time and it wasn't even the ones that came in my power supply after are going back and forth with them for over a month. I said look send me exactly the same type the flat pcie cables separate ones not dual the exact same ones that come with my power supply do not deviate from it. Donami send me braided one send me the exact same ones that came at my power supply with the exact same part numbers that are on the cables and after over a month of arguing back and forth they finally sent me the correct cables and four of them. That's my only reason. Wife of four star is out of five. You know if you don't have any problems with the products which I think 90 to 95% of the time you won't and there's no issues then you generally don't have to worry about their product cuz I have some quality products there. Just make sure that when you're buying a power supply you buy a little leeway in case you get more energy demanding parts like gpus. So if you think you need a thousand get 1200 if you think you need $750, then get a 850 or $1,000. Always get a little more than what you need for a little leeway just in case and that's what I've always done since 1999. The price was good also on this product because it was on sale and it was less expensive than going to a competitor. So the timing was perfect that this was on sale cuz she needed it. Hers was so old I wasn't going to take a chance on it even if it did last another couple of years. It was well past its prime so I got her on new modular one so I didn't need all the extra cables that the old one had. That's how old it was

I recently upgraded to the Corsair RMx Series RM850x Cybenetics Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply, and it has been an excellent choice for my system. One of the key reasons for upgrading was to support my new Nvidia GPU, and this PSU delivers flawlessly, especially with the built-in 12VHPWR connector, eliminating the need for adapters.
The adjustable fan in the back is a great feature, allowing for better cooling control and quieter operation under different loads. The fully modular design made installation and cable management a breeze, keeping my setup clean and efficient.

I have been a corsair power supply guy for several years now. I was initially a EVGA guy but made the jump over and so far haven't gone wrong. I end up buying this unit for the new nvidia power connection. Stored the previous RM850e I had as a backup or for when I upgrade the wife pc in the future. This power supply is powering a 7800x3d, 32gb of ddr5 on a Asus B650e board, asus tuf 5700ti and all the other usual stuff.

So far, so good. I've used Corsair power supplies in the past and had good luck with them. I was happy to see the size of the fan as the larger fan is much quieter. The build that I used this in for reference is an asus main board with a Ryzen 7 9700x paired with an rtx 3080. I was able to add 7 140mm fans to the case for good airflow. Result is a system that is very quite and is really only noticable when gaming, and even then not as loud as the PC my son has. Overall I'm happy with the power supply and would recommend. If you want to run more than a single video card you may need a larger power supply. There are websites that you can use to virtually build your system and get an idea whether it will adequately support your planned system to both number of connections and wattage wise.
A word of warning though for modular power supplies. Bag and tag your extra cables and mark for power supply. Some older Corsair cables that fit the slots are wired differently and can fry equipment if you use them

Had this PSU for about a little over a month now and it performs extremely well. I was a little worried about the heat output, but the adjustable fan control is a nice addition to help you maintain lower temps woth higher loads. That being said, I typically keep the dial in the "off" position that way the auto fan control takes over and I can keep noise to a minimum. Overall. Very solid purchase and Corsair continues to impress

Was having trouble with my desk top crashing all the time. Then i bought a new graphics card and had Bestbuy install it. They advised me I needed a new power supply unit to support the new graphics card. I agreed it was necessary to run my new Cinema 4d app. They installed itand I have not had a single crash since that. Very happy guy today

This thing is a beast. It is crucial for my pc, which is fully decked out with Corsair. I have 10 Corsair fans, 128 GB of Corsair RAM, and a Corsair AIO cooler. Other Corsair peripherals that I have are a Corsair XL Extended mouse pad, a Corsair wireless charging pad, which is used to charge my Corsair mouse! This PSU is a must-have!! Try it out for yourself! Corsair never disappoints!

Great PSU after doing research I found this was a highly rated power supply. I really like the adjustable fan knob I put it at lowest setting so it's always running. It's replacing only a 3 year old EVGA PSU that went bad and was causing my PC to crash. After I installed the Corsair no more crashes!

Great PSU. The manual fan knob is an interesting feature but if placement of the tower doeant make that accessible, its not very usable. The cable management is great with the fully modular design. Very quiet as well.

Very nice PSU. Like the nicely finished cables with separators. Had a little "new" smell with first use under power, but that went away quickly.
All in all, I can recommend this PSU.

My aging 1000W PSU was unstable with the 5070.
Using this PSU, I didn't need to use adapters for the 12V-2X6 power connector. My computer is now perfectly stable. Works well. I've been trusting Corsair supplies for multiple builds for over a decade.
Glad to upgrade to a modular power supply, too. Cleans up the case and improves airflow.
Only downside is that the cables are not wrapped, but at this price point it wasn't expected.

Extremely quiet, runs good with no visible issues. The fan knob is a little pointless as 99.9% of the time you will just leave it on automatic and it will only turn on when it's hot.
