So Far So Good

I have had these headphones for nearly a week and and i can happily say that there have been no issues. There are two main reasons why i really enjoy this pair of headphones for my console, the looks and the sound quality.
The design and looks of this headset is really top notch. When I unboxed these headphones i did not get any feeling that I was opening anything but a top of the line gaming headset. The gun metal mixed with the oversize ear covers really pleased the eye. Another neat feature i really enjoyed was the onboard (on ear phone) syncing control. The set up was a breeze too.
Last but not least, the sound and range of these phones are very impressive. The ear coverings easily create a barrier to the outer world which amplifies the base and mids. The crisp treble is also high quality.
When I mix a quality sound performance and a well thought out design, I turn into a happy customer. These are the reasons why I recommend these headphones to anyone in the market.

Nice product, did not work for me

I got these for making calls while working from home. All of the office headsets were sold out in all the stores near me. I call through my computer and require a USB headset.
I was really hoping these would work - it has great sound and a nice sleek design. Favorite part was that the mic would turn red while muted... It's the little things in life, right?? Plus the mute button was easy to find and quick to respond - I have dogs, so this is a must.
They were comfortable to wear. They maybe were a bit tight, but I have a head that is on the larger side and I figured it would break in overtime. It did not hurt my ears.
But alas, the call quality was awful. It did a lot of snap, crackle and pop, almost like I had an 80s filter on it. It would break in and out making conversations impossible. My PC tower sits not even two feet from me, so it wasn't a connection issue.
Solid product. Sleek design. Great sound quality for music. But ultimately did not work for my situation given the call quality.

The headset is...fine... While the headset itself works good, my complaint is with the icue software. The sound quality is hollow and doesn’t have much depth. Mids and highs are ok and bass level is slightly better than most headsets. Spatial surround is good and 7.1 is decent enough, but implementation is not. That’s mainly because the software is just not good. Connectivity is sort of poor unless using the wired mode., could be a windows 10 problem mostly. Battery life is unimpressive. While I can’t remember what the advertised life is, I can tell you I’m constantly charging it. The usb-c is a nice touch, the the mic plug is still micro usb, which is not so good. Mic monitor works, sometimes, it’s mostly unreliable and doesn’t work all the time. I find myself constantly fooling around with the settings in icue. Headset wasn’t too comfortable and it made my ears sweat. It’s a nice feeling and great looking accessory but too many headaches for me to keep dealing with.

these are top notch and have great quality just like all of my Corsair products. the fit and finish is was better than i thought and videos dont do it justice. they are loud and the mic is clear. Some people said that they are heavy or clamp too tight but they are not more heavy than the Steel Series Arctic 9x I had for xbox. these weigh around 300ish grams. maybe some people where wearing them wrong or something. they remind me of my wifes beats wireless headphones. they have around the same clamping force. i can easily wear these for hours on end.

They have a good fit. They are a bit heavy compared to my wired headset. The battery last quite a while for long play sessions. When you plug in the dongle, make sure you plug it into the motherboard. I first plugged mine into the front of the PC and had some feedback.

Awesome headset for gaming. 7.1 surround sound, more comfortable than any other headset I have used. Wireless and wired modes. The only thing that takes getting used to is the mute button under the mike by the earpiece. Corsair has of course integrated this into ICUE. Highly worth the price although a little expensive.

Let me begin by stating that I'm a huge fan of Corsair products. I've been building my PCs primarily with their components for years, including keyboards and mice. Quality is one of the first attributes I think of when I'm considering Corsair. Those factors are what lead me to buy this product and I honestly didn't have to think twice to make the purchase decision. I wanted a high-quality product to replace my existing headphones and the versatility of this item is the second factor that helped me make the decision.
So having said all of that, I was disappointed after a few days of testing these out. Upon opening the product, the quality and presentation is top-notch, arguably equal to an Apple product. Included are a nice case, quality detachable mike, USB cable, 3.5 cable, wireless dongle, and of course the headphones. This is a truly complete package unless you consider a stand part of it because that's the only thing it doesn't come with that could make it truly complete in the eyes of some. The headphones have a switch for setting them to work in either wireless mode and the cable can be used to charge them or using them as a USB headset, which is nice.
So, once I first started using them, I was taken aback by how lacking in the deep bass everything sounded that I listened to on any platform. I used them wirelessly, via USB wired connection, and with the 3.5 cable, I used them on my Macbook Pro, my gaming desktop, my iPhone, my PS4, and my Switch. There was naturally a lot of variation between all of these platforms but the one thing that was consistent was the lack of bass depth. The mids and highs are fantastic, let's be clear about that. For some folks, these might have the perfect range of sound once configured correctly. You can hear the bass in a lot of instances, but you can't really "feel" it if that makes sense. in I bought these to replace my Astro a50 (which I was truly disappointed with the price I paid) and those had a fantastic range of sound and deep bass that could be adjusted to taste quite easily. The only way that I found that I enjoyed listening to these was once I purchased Dolby Atmos for Headphones. That made a huge difference. I tried the settings in iCue (which I personally do like that software) but I found those pretty lacking. Which leads me to my next observation.
I was pretty underwhelmed by the 7.1 Surround setting. This feels emulated or simulated by tweaking the EQ. That being said, other software does detect these as a supported product for headphone surround. For example, Windows has built-in Spatial Sound settings that detect this headset, as does Dolby Atmos. Windows Spatial Sounds better than the 7.1 configuration to my ears, but Dolby Atmos is far better. That being said, Dolby Atmos is an additional purchase. In my opinion, I shouldn't have to make an additional purchase to make the product performed as expected. I only paid $10 for Atmos and it can be used with other products, so it's not a big deal but it is a factor I wanted to share to make potential buyers aware.
One other complaint that I have, which also others have stated, is the wireless performance. I consistently had dropouts, periodic static pops, and the compression is quite obvious. It's possible that driver or firmware updates might address this, but not if it's due to the radio hardware in the headphones or the wireless transmitter.
I know this was a long review, but I wanted to help buyers to make an informed decision, especially given the premium price point.

So I broke my previous wired Corsair headset and loving Corsair I figured I’d go down to best buy and get another set. Found this one on sale and am I glad I did. I had a little trouble get the icue software to find it at first but after I reset my computer it found it no problem. The sound quality is great and they are pretty comfortable. The top cushion isn’t as comfortable as my Voids were but the sound quality is considerably better. Great buy and very happy,

I was in the market for some nice headphones. I have been using Bose in-ear wired earbuds (soundsports) for about 4 years now. I would use them for literally everything; music, youtube, gaming, Zoom meetings, TV shows and movies. They were amazing and versatile, but I wanted something powerful that had impressive sound and a good microphone for gaming and talking to people on discord. After some research I went with these, because I loved the design and most of the feedback appeared to be good.
Unfortunately, after just a couple days, I had to take them back. The cons outweighed the pros quite heavily. First of all, these have NO BLUETOOTH. Yes, I knew that when I purchased, but I didn't realize how annoying it was until after I started using them. This makes them pretty much wired headphones anywhere you go, unless you're sitting at your PC at your desk. Another major con of these headphones was that the speaker grill is so close to your ear that it constantly had contact with my ear. The headphone cup is simply not deep enough, and it is flat.
They are also somewhat heavier than I would like, after just an hour I noticed their weight on my head causing discomfort.
Also, one big thing to note, the sound is not good for the price paid. Sound is very subjective, and I'm not a huge audiophile, but I noticed right away that the bass is very shallow out of the box. The sound has been clearly designed for gaming only, not for versatile use (music, youtube, movies etc.). I may have needed to mess with the equalization settings, but I don't think that would have magically made them sound far better. The reason I say this is because when I returned them I ended up getting the Bose QuietComfort 35 II, which is FAR better in terms of sound and versatility (bluetooth, better carrying case). The only thing is the mic, but I will just purchase a separate mic.
I think I made a mistake with not doing enough research. These headphones are very purposefully aimed at heavy gaming/streaming, and I wanted to use them for all kinds of other stuff as well. However, I have to note that the sound and comfort are simply lacking. I would highly recommend going to the Best Buy store and trying them on first (they had some display models when I went to return them). This would tell you pretty much instantly if they are comfortable and if the sound is good to your ears.
Good luck with your headphone search and I hope you find the best headphones that are comfortable and sound wonderful to you :)

From the build quality to the sound quality it is a great headset. The battery life is average and it is well designed with nice packaging. There are a few downside for me, despite being comfortable it is a bit heavy and it does give me a headache after prolonged time wearing them. You also need to treat the mice with some care, if can get damaged where it connects to the headset and stop working but that’s only if you brutalize them.

Scroll down for Pros/cons to save some time but feel free to read my review for explanations:
Good but not great. I'll try to break it don't to my best of ability.
The quality of the music is good. Has good bass and not over the top. ICUE will allow you to bass manage but it's average. Several presets to soften/brighten the tones.
The quality of the in-game sounds are good. I prefer stereo over the 7.1 surround sound when gaming. Movies are decent in 7.1 IF they support it.
Aesthetics: Excellent plus RGB. Gives you additional FPS in life. jk
Weight: Average
Build Quality: excellent but how long with that last I'm uncertain.
ICUE software: Needs improvement, You can't mix properly. Windows 10 will allow you to mix a bit.
Missing separate chat volume. this helps with discord users to filter out game sounds vs chat sounds. A necessary option for true pc gamers. Seriously though, Why didn't they think about a chat volume control.
It uses USB-A to USB C for charging. The button on the right ear, switch up for wired, switch down for wireless. You do get better sound while wired because of better power delivery.
Battery life is average. It will whisper that battery is low or you can just look at the light on the left ear.
Ear cups: I would prefer if they were swappable but they are not.
Pros:
Quality Construction
Wireless or wired
Tasteful RGB
Tasteful design (I love the gunmetal look)
You can swap out usb mic.
Cons:
Price 50$ too much
Can't swap earcups
Missing chat volume mixer
ICUE software is trash. but expect patches over time. maybe it will get better.
Overall:
I think it wins in the Looks department but for function it's average and ICUE likes to remove my presets randomly. (very annoying) When you press the mic on/off it will whisper in your ear that it's either on or off but by default it's very loud. You can mute it in the ICUE software. Random buzzing when listening to audio while wireless. If this happens switch to wired mode back to wireless mode. It should go away.
I personally like my Arctis 7's better than these because of the retractable mic and the separate chat volume. It mixes better in discord. The end caps like to collect finger prints and dirt. Cleaning them is a pain because of the grooves.
Not worth 209$ so wait for a sale or price match option.
Best to look at other brands who provide better options
But if aesthetics are you primary goal then by these.

The Bass is lacking

Sound is subjective. Therefore, what I like may be different for what you like.
I purchased these headphones and returned them 2 days later because I didn't feel like they were worth the $220 price tag.
I like bass in my headphones, and the bass in the Virtuoso's are lacking BIG time! I definitely expected more for the price.
Pros:
The build quality is good.
They come with a wireless dongle. However, you cannot connect them wirelessly to a phone or any bluetooth devices.
Clean voice audio.
If your phone has a USB-C port then you can connect them to your phone and use them as headphones. I have a Note 10+ and it worked on my phone.
The audio quality coming out of the headphones is clean but it isn't amazing, at least it isn't to me, like some folks claim it is. (Remember: Sound is subjective)
If you already have Corsair products then you don't have to download additional software.
Cons:
These headphones should be around $129-149. $220(tax included) is too much.
iCue software could cause audio issues. It caused problems with the pair that I had, but I fixed it by uninstalling iCue and my audio drivers then reinstalling them.
Bass is lacking.
The USB-C placement on the headphones is terrible.
The ear cuffs are slim therefore your ears will probably press against the drivers.
Tip:
If you don't have Dolby Atmos or DTS surround on your computer and you're using these headphone then you're missing out on sounds. It isn't needed but you will notice a difference if you have at least one of them activated, even if you have regular stereo headphone.
In summary, I don't think you will be disappointed if you purchased these headphones. However, they are not for everyone. Buy them and test them out, and if you don't like them, then return them. I have high standards when I pay high prices for certain items.

For what they are the audio quality, mic quality, and battery life are all great but the only negative I have with this pair is mostly the comfort. The earcups that come with this headset aren't good I recommend buying a replacement when you get these (They're so much more comfortable than the factory ones) Also the range on these headphones isn't what they claim to be, It's a lot less than they state. But overall I'd recommend this to a friend because they are a good pair of headphones compared to what's on the market right now for the price.

I came from the Corsair hs70 and these sound better than those. Quality build they’re great in my opinion. I like the ear ups but wish they were a bit bigger and deeper like the hs70’s. Sound is great. I generally use the atmos on the computer tho. Battery life is also good. My one gripe is I wish the volume wheel worked the same way they did on the h70’s, where they only controlled the headset volume and not windows volume, that way I don’t have to raise the volume up to 80-90. Where as my hs70’s I could set windows volume to 50 and just raise and lower the headset volume with a it’s wheel. Idk maybe I’m just weird lol. Either way it’s a great headset and I’d buy it again when on sale.

Solid headset with a durable feel. Audio quality is above average and helps a lot in Esports games.
The ear cups are comfortable and soft for hours of use. Battery life is also great, and it also has several levels of warning before dying.
20-30 ft wireless range through walls in my house with some cutting out after 2 walls between PC and headset.
You CAN disable the RGB.

This headset is extreamly comfortable. They fit like a cloud on your ears. Customization for the color and sound through icue are pretty cool but doesn't quite feel worth it for me. I have the sound drop out a few times and have to reset the headset, don't forget to switch off the headset either or they will be dead in the morning lol, you can use it though while charging which is nice. Sound quality is OK but the astro A40's blow the sound out of the water for me. Overall this is top quality headset but in my opinion spend the extra 50 bucks for the Astro A40s with the mix amp to adjust game and voice sound on the fly you will not be disappointed!

I waited a month before writing this to make sure that they were still as good as day one. As of right now, there is still one hiccup with the iCUE but that should be solved shortly and only effects the name of the device on its internal console.
Comfort wise, I have zero issue with these. I typically enjoy mesh over leather but the memory foam is far superior to what I have used before. One downside is still how well it traps heat, and during long sessions can get a little warm especially as we approach summer.
Mic quality is better than anything I have had so far, upgrading from a Corsair VOID PRO. It picks up a much wider variety of tones as well, so I can speak quietly and it will still do a good job of picking it up. I would say in some instances it actually picks up too much noise, depending on your setup.
Audio quality is fantastic for gaming. I would not recommend these for strictly music/movie use, but as an all around headphone they are great. The biggest drawback from music and movies is its somewhat low volume cap mixed with subpar bass boosts. It focuses more on precision noise, I wish I could explain it better. But it picks up footsteps around me better then it pushes out bass from a live concert using the same EQ.
I wish it was a little cheaper, but for the price I am hoping to get a solid two years out of these before seeing any hardware issues. Otherwise, everything has been great so far.

I am a life long Corsair fan everything I own PC wise was made by them I fully endorse most of there products. I was really excited for this headset, it looks amazing it feels great on your head super comfy. My only issue is when using the wireless with the CUE software once you get a few feet away from your dongle. It tries to reconnect you and you end up with two connections and your microphone can no longer be muted and you can’t hear the feedback. The only fix for this is to resync the headset via the usb wire. Anyone who uses Corsair knows that the CUE is plagued with issues like this so my only real complaint is just that otherwise the sound and microphone quality are amazing.

I was really excited to get these because I been waiting to upgrade from my current headset and most of my rig is corsair base. Then after 2 hours of use it all changed. This headset gets really tight on your ears, there really is no bass, and there is no power button besides unplugging the usb or flipping wired/wireless mode. Also everything has to be done in icue. I'm not an audio guy but I was looking for something with a little more punch. The build quality was solid and I loved the usb type c and other connections, but I wish they didnt make the earcups so small. Otherwise treble and sound clarity was crisp. I dont know, it might be good for other user but it just wasnt what I expected.
