If you're a fan of Crash Bandicoot or platformers, then this is a must buy. The N'Sane Trilogy consists of remakes of the first three original Crash games that came out on the PlayStation. Vicarious Visions did a fantastic job of translating those old school visuals into a true HD game, while maintaining Crash's awesome art style. If you have a PS4, you should definitely get this game, you won't be disappointed.

Seriously, I was so excited to play this and re-live some of my younger days. However, I was seriously surprised at how difficult the first Crash game has been. Just google it and you'll see how the mechanics seem to be off and people are throwing their controllers through the TV. Still, its otherwise true to the original with some updated (though still not astounding) graphics. Didn't live up to the expectations I put on it, but perhaps that's my fault. Its worth picking up, though if you want to wait for it to go down in price, I wouldn't blame you.

The N. Sane Trilogy has the original three Naughty Dog Crash Bandicoot games, lovingly remade with contemporary graphics and redone sound. The level of detail to which these remakes were done is astounding. From the redone cutscenes with much more detail and personality injected into the animation, to the amount of character given to Crash's sister Coco, now fully playable in almost all levels. There are a few minor gameplay qualms, according to some, the jumping and hitboxes are slightly off. The ice physics in the second game are definitely off, and it would be nice to have the ability to just restart a level, especially when trying to get the colored gems in the first game. All of these are very VERY minor, and did not prevent me from enjoying these games at all. I can't recommend this collection enough to both long time fans and new players alike.

This remastered collection of Crash games is great for new comers and people revisiting. The games are much harder than I remember. Almost Dark Souls level difficult. Seriously.

I always played the Crash Bandicoot series as a kid, on my playstation 1, which I haven't been able to play for years. This game is amazing! It brought me back to my childhood and the added effects are a great touch. The graphics are greatly improved, and gameplay is just as it was on the PS1. Would recommend this game to anyone who played the original Crash series!

Loved playing Crash games back when I was a child, so I was ecstatic when I founded out that they remastered it. Not only that but sold it as a trilogy instead of selling them individually. The game is still a blast to play, but the graphics have improved drastically!!! If you are a fan of Crash Bandicoot or just platformers in general, this is a must buy for you!

Fun Games But a Little Difficult

I haven't finished playing all the games and am in the progress of completing the second game of the collection so please bear that in mind when reading my review. I wasn't a real big fan of the Crash Bandicoot series and much rather play Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter. The Sly Cooper games are also very good but Crash never really pulled me in like the other games. The collection itself is very well done with great graphics and sound but the control requires precision with little to no leeway so be prepared to restart from checkpoints a lot or back to the very beginning. I guess this collection is more for fans of the series and they won't be disappointed but it's difficult to make progress without a lot of restarts for the rest of us. I even stopped playing Crash after a series of unsuccessful attempts and played Knack which was a lot less tiresome. At least the difficulty can be adjusted on Knack but Crash doesn't have that feature. I'll probably trade it in soon and use the money towards Knack 2 which is looking really good and has a lot of new features and moves. If you're a Crash fan, then this collection is for you but don't expect anything different except a very nice new paint job.

I purchased the game because I remember playing crash video games on my PlayStation one when I was a kid and when I heard about the remastered edition I had to purchase the game. It’s definately a nostalgic feeling. I purchased the game for my little brother on Christmas, I’m sure he’s going to love it. I recommend this game to anyone, it’s a must play!

I played the older versions when something similar was available for the first PlayStation. I have to admit they really upped their skills. I love the storyline, the graphics, the visuals. I highly recommend this game for all ages. I'm 29, female, married, and I can still play this game completely. This is one of my favorite games. You won't regret it!

I love this video game, it brings me back my memories from my childhood and now in the latest PlayStation, it is awesome!! But I noticed slight differences from the original ones for ps1. I do not why but when I try to jump it is kind of slow, I do not if it is the control or the video game, but overall a good remastered edition of a great great trilogy!!

This game has done what every PlayStation Fan has wanted for the last 11 years since the PS3 came out: a remake of Crash Bandicoot. And it is a VERY well done remake that hits almost every mark. There will be certain things that don't feel or look right but, come on, it's been a long time since we played the originals. The N-Sane Trilogy captures the nostalgia and brings enough new things that make it feel like it wasn't just a cash grab. This is TRUE FAN-SERVICE. You get 3 games remade!? For $40!? Of the once mascot for PlayStation itself!? Don't hesitate. Get it. It's pure clean fun that takes you back down memory lane. Now someone remake Spyro!!! Seriously, just do the same thing you did on Crash for Spyro. Nothing more, nothing less, it'll be a hit.

the originals are classics if you ever play this you should at least try the original at some point because while game-play wise they hold up alright the graphics and art-style are the real reason most people love crash [or least i believe so] but when it comes to this game it graphically looks almost like a ps3 game and the art-style wise looks to me mediocre to OK at best. However the game play is close, maybe not for crash 1 [in certain levels] close enough without the originals source code i give it 4 outta 5 just because i care slight more about gameplay than graphics.

The Crash N Sane Trilogy is a brand-new HD remake of the original 3 Crash Bandicoot games released on the Playstation (commonly referred to as the PS1 now) back in the 90s. This new version features all of the same great gameplay with upgraded visuals, sounds and controls that utilize the Playstation 4's technology. The Crash Bandicoot games are platforming games where, depending on the level, you're typically moving in one direction across the screen. The game has a trial and error type of difficulty. Some levels are really tough and you'll die in them over and over, but you'll find yourself getting further with each attempt and learning from your past mistakes. At $40 MSRP, this is a great value because you get three games in one.

A Great Game with a Major Flaw

Crash is almost exactly what I wanted it to be - a remake of the original trilogy with updated graphics. They even went the extra mile and added further improvements and features from the later games, such as the unlockable time trials in all games (previously only available in the third game), the ability to play as Koko in all the games (with new and unique animations created for this game) and the removal of the awful save system of the first game. The graphics, while I doubt they push the PS4 to the max, have a lot of detail, and even drab, boring levels in the original games are made interesting here. The one problem? The physics system. The developers took the physics system from part three (because it was the most recent) and used that as the basis for all three games. This means that, while tweaks to the jumps were made in each individual title, the first two titles now require even greater precision than the originals demanded. Considering how maddeningly hard some of the levels were in the original Crash, this has made the game that much more frustrating. 1/3 of Crash 3 also consists of boring vehicle levels, but this is a fault of the original developers, and a faithful recreation would have to retain this flaw. Overall, if you can live with the jumping issues, liked the originals, and crave a challenge like they had in the old days, then give this a try.
