I love this movie. Jeff Bridges is phenomenal and Maggie Gyllenhall is always a treat to watch. The story is touching and mellow but with great undertones. The music is also a terrific addition to the movie. All original songs performed by the actors. I hate country music but love these songs and performances. If you like emotional dramas with a great atmosphere then this movie is for you. Also any fan of country music would love this.

To exclude any thought of bias on my part, I dislike both country music and pro-wrestling. Don't get me wrong, I love Jeff Bridges; he made this movie very believable, touching and sad. But "The Wrestler" is pretty much they same type of story and Mickey Rourke's performance was heart wrenching, hard to watch at times, and made me tear up. While "Crazy Heart" played with my heart strings, "The Wrestler" nearly pulled them out. "Crazy Heart" was a good movie, but I think the Oscar went to the wrong actor. Of course, "Milk" was an incredible movie, so...

This movie is great for anyone that appreciates music. Jeff Bridges could easily pass for a real life country outlaw. The music is superb, and one of the most honest representations of the struggle of being a musician that lives his life through his songs on the road....5 stars facebook.com/adamglovermusic
