I've been a fan of this movie since I first saw it upon it's original release (the cut down version) in theaters in 1976. I also got to see the original long cut version at the movie theater which is the version mastered for this Blu-ray/DVD release. Spectacular is the word for this newest release. I haven't seen this film presented in this way since it's original release. I do have the restored THX mastered long version which is great but this newest release is the best I've ever seen. Great package included in this 3 disc release.

I was very happy to pick this up on launch day with sale price at about $10 cheaper than the list price that other online options were selling for. Best Buy still seems to list this cheaper than most places, so a good place to pick up for sure. Movie has never looked better, but the packaging is odd and flimsy and the soundtrack is not included like the region B Studio Canal release has. That said, if you are locked to region A, this is a great buy, especially from Best Buy.

Since it's too expensive to get your hands on used copy of the Criterion version of this movie, this version is very welcome indeed. But....I wish they would have included the soundtrack CD as the 3rd disc, the way the UK version did, That is the only reason I am not giving 4 stars

The movie is great. But is it for everyone? No. A great and interesting story but it's quite an artsy film. So for those expecting an alien movie like The Day The Earth Stood Still or War of the World, you will not get it here. David Bowie is great. Approach if you want to venture into great cinema or if you like David Bowie.

Wonderful restored version of the David Bowie classic, still a bit chilling today. It highlights Bowie's amazing talent and struggle in portraying an alien being trying to desperately save his mate and child on a distant dying planet.

This is a great newly remastered copy of the film "the Man who Fell To earth". I like the better than the criterion issue which is long out of print. An excellent group of extra's including the book . Highly recommended.

This is a great special edition of a wonderful film. I was looking for a Criterion collection edition and could not find one, but this edition has just as many bells and whistles.

The film is unique and a "must see". There are some excellent extra features on this release. The package is very nice and may appeal to certain collectors. The film itself is unforgettable and is certainly a fitting testament to Bowie's star power.

This was purchased as a birthday gift for a friend and was a big hit. This is the deluxe edition including booklet and poster. The new transfer looks great. Nice job.

Loved this edition. Has three discs with tons of extras, as well as postcards, posters, etc. Highly recommend if you love David Bowie and Nicholas Roeg.

I was very excited to purchase this blu ray. And it was so cheap in the store!!! Too bad only the Canadian version has the CD.

I have been wanting this movie for a long time and was glad that it was released again. You may have to see this a couple of times to grasp the full meaning of what this movie is saying.

Great film, glad this was restored to honor the late David Bowie.. Best the film has ever looked, and likely will look.

A trippy movie that had been OOP for a few years and become pricey online. It was nice to see this get a new release and a fantastic one at that. RIP to the late, great David Bowie.

Extraterrestrial comes to Earth to retrieve water for his dying planet but succumbs to depression and alcoholism.

Glad that this out of print film was released again. The extras book, postcards, and poster are really cool, too.

David Bowie has made some very fine movies, MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH among them. Glad to have it now on Blu-Ray.
