    I have a acer nitro 5 AN515-53 series which has a max of 32GB RAM so I have two 16 GBs now and they are perfect for me and my modded Minecraft servers. Check your laptops specs for the max ram that your computer can run because more isn’t necessarily better and you would be spending money on extra ram you won’t be using, and the package doesn’t come with instructions so YouTube is your best friend when you need help removing and installing your new ram and take it slow and easy because the connectors and the pins are delicate and you don’t want to force and damage anything especially if it was your first time changing ram like me and it was surprisingly easy.

    No dislikes whatsoever, but the likes are high. Firstly, I replaced my 8GB stick with these 2 16GB sticks, and one game I specifically play has increased by 50-60fps, earning me up to 144 in small servers and up to 90 in big servers (which is a huge boost, considering I was barely getting 50 in a big server). And for anyone wondering. Yes, this is compatible and works 100% on the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-536Q.

    I own several SSD drives from Crucial, including some NVMe drives and I haven't had any issues with them. Crucial is part of Micron which manufactures and supplies other brands with memory chips as well. I needed a bit more RAM for one of my gaming laptops and I decided to give this kit a chance. This kit comes with two 16 gig DDR4 sticks which can run at 3200 MHz, which is some of the fastest you can get for a laptop with DDR4 banks. Before installing this kit, I ran some tests with the memory I was replacing (2 x 8 gigs at 3200 MHz from a competitor). I would like to point out that even though Windows 10/11 can run with only 8 gigs, I recommend at least 16 gigs in order to have some room. Windows quite memory hungry and the more memory is available, the smoother and faster the system will run. Now, 32 gigs might seem like overkill to some, but it does provide the best experience. The gain between 16 and 32 gigs is very noticeable. For starters, Windows loads faster. It took approx. 15 seconds from boot to desktop with the 16 gig kit. After installing this Crucial 32 gig kit, this dropped to an average of 10 seconds. Launching or switching from and to different programs or games is fast and smoother than butter. On average, I have observed a 25 to 35% performance gain with the 32 gigs. Games load and run much better and this leaves enough room for video or image editing software to operate properly. I have run some benchmarks as well and the Crucial memory kit wins big. The bottom line is this: Crucial delivers an excellent product which will allow you to game and work without a hitch. I would recommend this kit to anyone who needs an upgrade.

    There aren’t too many things you can do to upgrade a laptop these days quickly and effectively. To be able to do that at a decent price point as well? This is exactly what I was looking for. To be sure, my laptop is “getting by,” but as its age starts to show more and more, along with the ever-increasing demands put on it by newer (and older) software, its clock is certainly ticking. Install for me was, well, a breeze. A couple of screws and a quick switch was all I needed to do (I removed 2 8GB DIMMs). Of course, this will be totally dependent on your machine, and absolutely be sure that you can install 2 DIMMs, given the seeming trend to solder some RAM to the motherboard. Frankly, a move I hate. Immediately, I noticed a difference. Boot was quicker, everyday tasks were smoother, and I even saw some fairly dramatic results in the little bit of gaming I do on this machine. Given how I use my laptop, the snappier Chrome tab play has been most beneficial so far. General use and being able to open even more tabs (yes, I have an issue) has been great. Being able to do that as well as have increased performance while running other tasks at the same time really had me shaking my head as to why I did not do this sooner. I have been nothing but pleased so far. I think given todays workloads and software environment, 32GB should sort of kind of be the floor on RAM. Especially when working in the confines of Windows. Perhaps in other operating systems, it may not be needed, and surely, if your use case is not that resource heavy, you can get by with 8GB or 16GB, but for many I think 32GB should be the route to take. Ultimately, this RAM is perfect to upgrade a system. You can get increased performance across the board, a little bit of futureproofing, and can give some more life to an again system. It comes in at a very reasonable price and from a well-respected name in the space. Obviously, check your use case, and double check any compatibility issues, but I don’t really see anything but positives here.

    I was looking to upgrade my Asus Tuff Gaming laptop memory however with bad experience in the past was looking for reliable RAM. I am pleasantly pleased at how reliable and durable these RAM sticks are, especially when resting in a laptop. With constantly being on the go and placing my laptop in multiple environmental conditions I worry about the components inside. I am glad to see with the constant standby / wake and mutli apps running there has not been any issues. I really enjoy the speed of these RAM sticks as well especially when having to multitask throughout the day from a wake start. My only wish was there to be heatshields on them however at present moment have not had any heat warnings while processing video or playing games. These RAM sticks were very easy to install without issue and made very well. Overall I recommend these RAM sticks if you are in the market of upgrading your laptop with more memory. As the saying goes , you can never have enough RAM in your computer.

    Ram was defective. Caused a lot of errors (BSOD) or would freeze during install of Windows 10. Performed a hardware test with Passmark MemTest86 v9.3 Pro and the test would freeze at 14%. Changed focus to memory only and it would just freeze. Reinstalled original RAM and the system is operating correctly.

    Starting with specifics, I installed this 32GB (2PK 16GB) 3200MHz speed PC4-25600 DDR4 on a ASUS TUF F17 Series Laptop - FX706HE. Installation takes about 1-2 minutes, or however fast you can unscrew the bottom of your Laptop and replace two SODIMMs. I decided to go with the 32GB/3200MHz speed PC4-25600 DDR4 Kit. Some people may think that this is too much RAM, but it's nearly 2023, and I prescribe to the philosophy that my computer works for me, not the other way around. I should not be forced to close tabs or programs to free up RAM to play games. I should also not have to rely on a Page File in case my RAM gets capped. When it comes to Laptop SODIMM RAM, you're probably not going to find much faster than CL22, even at 16GB, unless it uses XMP. Unfortunately, a lot of Laptop BIOS's, including the one for my ASUS TUF Series, does not have this feature. Now, I don't know if it's specifically a mainboard or BIOS issue where I could have enabled the feature by completely flushing my BIOS - but that seemed like a really stupid and dangerous idea where I would end up bricking my laptop. When I initially realized this, I just let out a sigh, and had to accept that my laptop would not enable XMP, or higher voltage RAM. So, in my humble opinion, this is your best option for Laptops that do not have XMP. It's plug-and-play option (which basically means it's default setting) allows you to get XMP speeds, without the use of XMP. Now, we're not talking about going from CL22 to CL16 here - it's a modest reduction to CL20 - but when your choices are limited, you take what you can get. At the default CL20, it still maintains 3200MHz. The 32GB Kit is both Dual Channel and Dual Rank. I immediately noticed performance gains in more RAM heavy games, like Star Citizen. And, FYI, going from Single Rank to Dual Rank doesn't give you some magical 30% FPS increase with all games across the board, like some people claim. But, the I'm sure that the combined effect of a lower CL, higher capacity, and dual ranking all adds to the overall performance impact. Overall, unless the hardware dies on me within a short amount of time, 5 Stars. It's nice to see a brand like "Crucial" providing a RAM solution that solves an issue that affects more users than I originally realize.

    This is a Crucial 32GB (2x16GB) SODIMM RAM kit for DDR4 compatible laptops. Specifically this is a DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) upgrade kit for laptops with 2 available RAM slots, with a CPU that is capable of using the 3200 MB/s speeds. I have used Crucial memory off and on since DDR2 was common, and they have always had a well regarded reputation for being reliable. In my earliest PC upgrading days I used Crucial’s System Scanner website to determine compatible RAM modules. This tool is still available today and is easily found on Crucial’s website. If you are thinking about upgrading your RAM you should check out that tool before making a leap to purchase RAM modules. RAM modules can easily run at lower speeds, but there’s no need to spend the extra money on a faster kit than you need to. You can also check your manufacturer’s website for memory QVL/DVL to see what kits have been tested. One big thing to note if you are looking at Crucial’s site for more in-depth details you will see that this RAM kit comes in 2 varieties – 1xR8 (single rank) or 2xR8 (double rank). The kit I received uses (2) CT16G4SFRA32A.M8FF individual 16GB 1xR8 modules. The .M8FF version is the single rank variety, but I am unsure of the dual rank designation. Why this matters – dual rank is generally faster than single rank (5-10% depending on the application and RAM utilization). AMD based systems are more sensitive to this than Intel, but there is a speed difference regardless. This is poor product labeling because it is very misleading, and absolutely creates scenarios where you may not get what you are expecting. Looking around at other sites that carry this RAM kit and through forums it seems to be all over the place with people getting single vs. dual rank. If you for sure need dual rank Crucial carries another kit - CT2K16G4SFD832A. There may be cases where you need single rank (for easier overclocking) and you could get the dual rank. My laptop – Alienware X17 R1 came with 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200 CL22 1xR16. I powered off the laptop and popped open the back cover to access the RAM slots. I swapped the RAM out without any issue and buttoned things back up. Powering on my system I was greeted with a notification that my system memory had changed, and then it loaded on into Windows. I pulled up CPUID to check that the RAM was operating at the correct speed and timings, which it was. I started up HWINFO64 to further check into the memory – this is where I confirmed these were single rank 1xR8 RAM modules. My version of the X17 does not have XMP profiles available in its BIOS, so I am unable to alter any timings or try to overclock this RAM. Most of the processes that I use perform perfectly fine with 16GB. As I was running through benchmarks and games my max usage came out to be around 12GB. It wasn’t until I loaded up Solidworks and opened my larger assembly files that my memory utilization went way up. I would be up over 20GB of RAM pretty routinely, and encroached on 30GB utilized with multiple large assemblies, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Firefox (with 15 tabs). Even at 32GB I can still spike a “low system memory” warning from Solidworks, but that’s usually solved by killing a few processes or closing some unused model files. I normally do all of my modeling on my work laptop (32GB DDR4 2666) and only hobby stuff on my personal machine because of the former 16GB RAM limit. I still won’t do heavy modeling on my machine, but now I don’t have to be as stingy with closing other programs, and getting them out of memory. It is difficult to quantify the difference between the old and new RAM in this laptop because both kits are DDR4 3200. I noticed a slight difference between my work laptop and this laptop (DDR4 2666 vs. 3200) when modeling. Toggling between open files was a snappier, and hiding/showing parts was quicker. These are both operations that hit the RAM as its drawing from memory, but its not quite apples to apples since the machines have different processors and graphics cards as well. My benchmarking though does show some modest gains just by virtue of upgrading from 1Rx16 to 1Rx8 modules. Rendering tasks saw a performance bump as evidenced by Cinebench (8% faster) and 3DMark (8% FPS increase) tests. CPU intensive tasks also saw a bump in the Geekbench single (5% improvement) and multicore (12% improvement) tests where data is being processed by the CPU from memory. These tests, while showing a measurable improvement, are difficult to relate to a tangible benefit. Over to gaming though the benefits are shown again. I played a couple of different games and ran 2 that have built in benchmarking tools – Dirt Rally and Middle Earth: Shadow of War. I ran benchmarks on my laptop screen (1080p 360Hz) and my 1440p ultrawide monitor (240Hz). The biggest performance gains were at 1080p. Max FPS was largely unaffected across both displays with the different RAM kits (0-3% improvement). However, at 1080p minimum FPS saw huge improvements. Dirt Rally gained a 30% bump, and Shadow of War got a 24% boost. 1080p average framerate saw a 10% boost in Dirt, but only 4% in Shadow of War. At 1440p the gains are more modest, but they are still there. Dirt saw a tiny bump of 1% for minimum framerate, while Shadow of War got a healthy 17% increase. Average FPS saw no difference for Dirt, but saw a little 3% increase in Shadow of War. For these increases the most important thing to look at is the minimum framerate. A boost to minimum FPS helps your games look smoother, since framerate dips result in choppiness. There are some decent conclusions to draw from this. The jump from my 16GB kit to this 32GB kit shouldn’t have really had much effect on system performance since they are both DDR4 3200. Most daily tasks won’t come close to fully utilizing 16Gb, so the extra capacity shouldn’t have much effect there. However, even at the same RAM speed you can find some performance gains. In my case going from 1xR16 to this 1xR8 kit unlocked pretty significant performance boosts for 1080p gaming. 1440p saw some more moderate increases, but gains are gains. Other conclusions are more obvious. If you are upgrading from a slower RAM kit, then you will see an improvement across the board. If you are constantly bumping up against the RAM capacity in your machine, adding more will help. Overall. this is a good RAM kit. The RAM performed well. It passed AIDA64 memory stress tests without issue. It hit the stated speeds in my machine without having to mess with any settings. Crucial is a solid brand to source your components from, which definitely brings some assurances. I wish the ambiguity around the rank density was eliminated because that is the only knock I have against this kit.

    More memory, the better (and for future proofing of course). I have a ASUS Mini PC that is used solely for 3 main programs I use, Proscan (Police Scanner Feed Software to broadcast out to a local community page website), GRLevel Radar software for live weather radar scanning and then a memory extensive application called "Blue Iris" that I use to locally monitor my home camera's. On top of that, using Windows 11 which I recently upgraded from Windows 10 and Win11 uses a bit more resources and memory. I have used Crucial RAM and SSD's for many many years, I have always been satisfied with the quality and the value that I get and this is nothing different from these (2) 16GB Crucial Memory sticks that I have installed (Upgrading from 8GB that I had in my system) and it was a breeze, no problems booting up, it was much quicker and more responsive, especially with the 3 main programs I use daily. From receiving them in the mail to the presentation of the package to installing them and using it in my system, a easy no brainer 5 stars from me! Lets cut to the chase, 8GB shouldnt even be considered the standard much anymore, it should be 16GB but that wont cut it for multiple applications/programs running now days and even with some new games that has recently came out. 32GB should be the standard majority of PC and laptop users should be gearing towards now, or to even future proof, go up to 64GB or more. Don't worry, 32/64GB or more is not too much, again you will be future proofing your PC. If you need a upgrade on your memory, I recommend highly going with Crucial, they are a name brand that has been around for years and trusted by so many.

    I know a lot of people still use DDR4 RAM and I understand why. This upgrade was a much-needed one. I was previously running DDR4 2666 RAM. What a difference it made. Man does my system run smoother buttery smoother at that. Apps and programs load faster. I know multitasking is not the best but I use a 3 monitor setup. After the upgrade, I noticed my setup had less lag. Using the Windows 10 gestures ran more smoothly. Switching screens and apps just made a more pleasant experience. Usually, 16GB of RAM is enough for most users. But if you jump into content creation, video editing, large video compression, or just keeping a lot of apps running the 32GB will help improve system performance. The multitasking capabilities now are sweet. No stutters or freezes. After running Cinebench R23 my score before the upgrade was 9875. After the New Ram, it jumped to 10220. It's so simple to upgrade as well. As long as you have SODIMM slots that take DDR4. Anyone can take the back cover off their laptop. Just take the old RAM out. Put the correct new RAM in. Your done an easy upgrade. If you want to boost system performance and want a more enjoyable responsive experience. If you are a multitasker that keeps a lot of apps running in the background. Or even if you are a gamer this will help create a better clean experience. Maybe you are the office individual who is constantly running data-intensive operations. This will be a wonderful upgrade.

    This Crucial 32GB Kit (16GB x 2) DDR4 3200 MT/s (PC4-25600) SODIMM 260-Pin Memory - CT2K16G4SFRA32A - Green was very easy to install into my gaming laptop. My laptop had 16GB installed, and it’s fully loaded with the top of the line dedicated graphics as well. Still, with only 16GB of RAM, it did drag a bit when multitasking in several high end graphics applications and website design applications, and in some of the high performance games that I play. It took me all of 15 minutes to take the back off of my laptop, pop out the old memory modules, install the new ones, and put the back back on and put the screws in. As soon as I fired up my laptop, I saw that it recognized the new memory. I immediately fired up 4 of my high performance graphics applications, along with a spreadsheet and word processing application. They all ran smoothly at the same time, no hiccups, no lagging, and no watching the hourglass go round and round for minutes. I’m extremely happy with the memory upgrade and with the performance of my laptop since the memory upgrade. No problems at all.

    It's pretty hard to get too excited about laptop memory--typically it either works or it doesn't. This is especially true given that most OEMs lock down the BIOS on mobile motherboards (save for those in *really* pricey enthusiast or custom gaming/content creation units) so that XMP profiles are unavailable, much less offer up advanced overclocking settings for the user. That pretty much limits a typical laptop/notebook to whatever memory specifications shipped from the factory without any real prospect of accelerating the computing environment with faster or more robust memory that clocks in a few hundred MHz higher or offers slightly better timings. In fact, my older i7/RTX 2080 gaming laptop won't even boot with DDR4 memory that is spec'd above 2666 MHz even though most SODIMMs will still operate at lower frequencies. But my more recent "budget" gaming laptop, with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H and an RTX 3050, surprised the heck out of me by turning in real performance gains that contradicted much of the prevailing sentiment that 16GB is probably "good enough" for most users. I've been an Intel user most of my life but I've read that AMD CPUs can be more sensitive/responsive to faster memory speeds than Intel processors, but my experience also demonstrated that at least this AMD CPU seemed to be responsive to MORE memory as well. My budget gaming laptop only came with a single stick of 8GB 3200 MHz CL22 RAM operating in single-channel mode. Adding another stick of identically spec'd RAM turned in some dramatic performance improvements in some AAA gaming titles (which was not surprising in the least). A year later, along comes Crucial with this 32GB kit of 3200 MHz CL22 memory...I thought, "what the heck?" I don't do a lot of complex photo and video editing on my laptop--though I do dabble a bit from time to time--and generally tend to limit open browser tabs to less than 5 or so at a time. As such, I didn't necessarily expect to experience much in the way of improvements in "everyday performance" going from 16GB to 32GB the way I did going from 8GB (one SODIMM) to 16GB (two SODIMMs). Again, the prevailing wisdom (as I understand it) is that avid multi-taskers and those who work with very large photo or video files/editing programs are generally those who tend to experience the most *noticeable* improvements in speed, responsiveness, and performance over those who use their computers for general media/Internet use, office productivity, or gaming. Interestingly, that's not what I found... Installation of this Crucial 32GB kit was completely painless--I just popped out the old SODIMMs and put the new ones in place--my computer booted up, gave me a BIOS screen confirming a memory change, and then continued on into Windows without a hitch. I ran the exact same benchmarks at 1080p in 16GB and 32GB configurations ensuring all frame limiters, VSYNC, and DLSS/FSR functions were turned off so I could get a sense of any baseline improvements in performance before any scaling/AI tricks and shortcuts were figured into the mix. The size of the performance gains (LOW/HIGH/AVE fps) were NOT what I expected: Horizon Zero Dawn - Original/MED preset 16GB: 20/120/68 32GB: 42/172/89 (31% increase) Shadow of the Tomb Raider - HIGH 16GB: 46/101/60 32GB: 61/142/81 (35% increase) Red Dead Redemption 2 – NVIDIA Recommended/MED & HIGH 16GB: 11/104/38 32GB: 22/79/55 (45% increase) Gears 5 - HIGH 16GB: 63.7 AVE 32GB: 88.6 AVE (39% increase) Metro Exodus - HIGH 16GB: 20/55/36 32GB: 25/79/51 (41.7% increase) Based on everything I've read, I SHOULDN'T be seeing performance gains quite this high going from 16GB to 32GB unless there's something else magic going on in that AMD CPU's Infinity Fabric, or there was something just fundamentally wrong or misconfiged with the previous two sticks of RAM that never manifested in a crash or output error, but also still managed to turn in measurable performance gains over operating with just one stick of 8GB RAM. I went spelunking into the BIOS for any settings that might be responsible for throttling my previous 16GB setup--a weird dual-stick/single-channel memory mode or something like that, but my laptop features no user-adjustable settings for memory at all, and only displays the total RAM available. After running the benchmarks, turning off the laptop, swapping out the memory, then turning on the laptop and running the exact same benchmarks without having made any other changes to Windows, the game's video settings, or in NVIDIA control panel, I'm just not sure what else could be going on here. I suppose it's possible that despite the same timings and specifications, the two original 8GB SODIMMs weren't perfectly matched and therefore weren't always running in dual-channel mode...if so, my experience and results at least indicate what kind of performance gains might still be possible going from single channel to dual-channel mode using the Crucial 32GB memory kit. But at least in my situation, with this particular mixture of hardware and on these particular titles, installing this Crucial 32GB memory kit resulted in noticeable and measurable increases in gaming performance, well beyond any sense of "my computer feels snappier and more responsive now" (which it definitely does, BTW). Will you see the same performance gains, I don't know--but given that the marginal increase in price going from 16GB to 32GB SODIMM kits is relatively low these days, why not give yourself and your PC a bit of breathing room and future proofing anyway? The ONLY gotcha I can think of is that these SODIMMs are dual-sided; they have memory modules on both sides of the PCB. If you have a super-thin notebook or ultrabook with very low-profile memory sockets that sit right against the motherboard (or right against each other), you MIGHT have some issues with fitment; but otherwise, this memory kit turns in rock-solid performance at a reasonable price that should give your laptop plenty of overhead for demanding files and programs as well as multiple open windows and apps. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

    I’ve been working on and upgrading for what seems the better part of the last 20-30 years. Even now as a teacher, one of my roles on campus is to provide tech support to my colleagues. Often, I have teachers ask me for recommendations on what new laptop to buy to use for work. After verifying that it will be used for Office and internet work, my next question is what kind of laptop do you already have. A good percentage of the time they respond with a model they just bought 2-4 years ago. I then usually recommend two things; backup and restore your system and upgrade your ram if possible. This 32GB RAM upgrade is perfect for those who either want to breathe new life into their rigs or are looking to really push and get the most from their already amazing setup. I used it for the latter, and I can say that it made an instant and noticeable difference. I have a gaming laptop that is already running 16GB of RAM which is definitely respectable, but I wanted to max it out to get the most from it. If you have worked on computers in the past, changing out RAM is a cakewalk. My laptop just had me take off the bottom cover, which involved unscrewing about a dozen screws then unclipping both 8GB RAM cards and swapping the new 16GB in for them. Again, if you have done it before, or after watching a couple of how-to videos you feel confident the entire process takes less than 15-20 minutes. Just make sure you know where those little screws are when you need them again. If you are uncomfortable with opening your laptop and touching its internals then I know Best Buy offers this service. Just be careful that you are grounded so you don’t accidentally fry out your laptop’s main board. Once again, after popping in the new memory and resealing the bottom cover again I instantly noticed how much faster the initial bootup and loading of my startup apps was. Running normal tasks like opening some browsing tabs in Chrome and then Edge again showed off what that upgrade was doing to my performance. Then I ran some games; my normal fair of WoW, some CoD, Fortnite, and Overwatch 2 really displayed how snappy the laptop had become after upgrade. So, if you really want to get the most out of your recent computer investment, or if you are trying to revitalize your ‘aging’ rig, then this RAM upgrade is the way to go. This is considerably more cost-effective than having to purchase a new system. Just verify that your system has the 2 available slots for RAM upgrade. Sometimes the laptop will have 1 slot that has soldered on RAM and 1 empty bay so buying this 2-stick upgrade will leave you with an extra stick and only 24GB instead of 32GB if the other soldered on memory is an 8GB amount. A nice tool to use is on Crucial’s website; you have it scan your system and it will tell you what you are able to upgrade to and if you have 2 available slots or just the 1.

    Got this RAM for my Predator Helios 300. Extremely easy procces to install. Loading up EFT and there was a huge difference in performance. its worth the money and wont break the bank either.
