Works great as an external SSD

Last chance to buy SATA SSD

My computer is at the stage where it does not need to be replaced just yet, but can use a few items upgraded. I bundled this along with upgrading my ram from 12 to 32 gigs and the change is night and day. Windows loads up in less than a minute and applications launch smoothly. I purchased the insignia sata to USB connector to clone the drive. My only gripe is that Acronis, the cloning software that crucial uses can be very slow in preparing the drive and setting up partitions, but the actual cloning of the drive took about 20 minutes. You can't go bad for the price.

Hard to beat for the money!

Confusing Installation Process

Unlike SanDisk was mostly plug & play. Wish it was easy.. but maybe it was my fault too since I probably didn't needed a Crucial software to install afterall. At least that's what I thought after I returned it.
