5x Faster than my data ssd

Under $100 and came with a Shutterfly gift card. I figured this wouldn’t be the fastest but would be an improvement over my Samsung sata ssd. I’m getting about 5x the performance over my old ssd. Comes with clone software that is easy to use. Install Troubles: My motherboard automatically defaults to a m.2 after this was plugged in. My mobo also disables certain sata ports when an m.2 drive is installed. I had to move my two other drives to different ports. After that, enter bios and force boot to old ssd. After that I ran the clone software and set bios to boot off m.2 drive. All seems well so far. Ran a speed test on new vs old and went from 500 to 2440. I’m calling it a win. (Translation, had to unplug old drive and plug it into the adjacent spot. This drive takes over the first few ports even though it’s not plugged into them). I wasn’t looking for blazing fast speed. I ran out of storage space and went with the faster and larger boot drive. If your looking for a one and done upgrade to your computer, this may be a good choice. M.2 was expensive when I built my computer 5 years ago. Prices have dropped dramatically and now it’s an option on a budget. I’ll post an update if I have any issues.

SUPER FAST!!

Seagate has a very good tutorial on how to install and set up an NVME on their youtube channel (which i can't link unfortunately) seriously, check out those speeds!

Fast and working great in Macbook Pro 2015.

It was super easy to install and then restore my Mac operating system. I went from a stock 128GB drive to this 1TB drive and it runs super fast. I now have more than enough storage space and my Macbook Pro boots and runs fast. Very satisfied and highly recommended.

Been solid in my system

I don't have a heatsink on it and have not experienced any strange behaviors. It's my boot drive, and is so much faster than my older sata ssd.

Other than that there is not much to say. Windows 10 recognized the drive upon booting and all went well with the install.

Crucial P2 1TB NVME

I've always trusted the crucial brand for memory and had great luck with their M500 SATA3 SSD. This drive is just as reliable but much faster over the PCIe bus. Best Buy offered it at a good price as well.

really good M2 Drive!

I would recommend this one as a beginners or Upgrade from an SSD. Please note that it DOES NOT come with the small screw to attach it. Just the drive only.

I was also happy this item was available locally. Very painless upgrade with Acronis true image for Crucial. Just follow the directions.
