Use for system image backup

It works so well, and is priced so well, that I purchased a second one to use for system image backups. I clone my system drive to this each month, to use as a backup. It is a fairly fast process, and provides a good way to recover if a problem develops.

Best M.2 SSD For The Money

It runs faster that the old SSD that was in his laptop. He loves having more space on his laptop.

Had an issue with an Intel NVMe that I needed another NVMe while it was being warrantied. This Crucial seems to be faster, and I have had no issues with macOS recognizing it for install. Boot times are a little improved (possibly due to issues with the Intel drive) so I will likely keep the Crucial as my boot drive and use the replaced Intel as a ghost backup. Would recommend.

As I was installing it, I realized the head spreader was not secured properly. It had become damaged over time due to vibration, and that was the root cause of my SSDs failing. I removed it, and this thing is still going strong! I have used Crucial in my builds for SSDs ever since this purchase.
