Speeds were exactly what was advertised even using a 4gen motherboard

Fast transfer speeds and makes for a solid main boot drive, also software to clone and transfer data over. Make sure to partition it first, a very good drive!

Crucial are the value kings as far as i am concern. This PCIE 5.0 is fast enough for 3d and Animation work that i am doing and it does not break the bank either. 100% would recommend to new builders.

I bought two in separate purchases for an ASUS G71. On the first purchase I discovered that the original card was in port 2 of the laptop. i cloned the original onto the new card and installed it in port 2. The laptop would only recognize the Crucial occasionally and then loos the recognition. The bios in the ASUS appears to be the problem. It would not recognize the 2 gig crucial in port 2 but it worked fine in port 1 so I installed it in port 1. I then ordered the second 2 gig crucial and the bios will not see it at all in port 2. It appears fine in the USB port with an adapter as a usb device. The problem is the ASUS bios, not the 2 gig crucial. I would return the chip and exchange it for a Gen 4 but I lost the box it came in. Gen 4 may or may not work. I’ll wait and see if ASUS fixes the bios.

I put two of these in my computer to replace standard SATA SSD's: one for photos, the second for video editing. Render time on videos was reduced by approximately 75-80%, remarkable results. This is the way to go if you want blazing speed!

Needed additional space for my pc for gaming. This was the right price and easy to install. The read and write speeds are amazing. This allows me to download and playing in mins. No errors just simple and ready to go.

What people don't realize: Professional testing has shown that a DRAMless Gen5, in an extended write slowdown, can still be faster than a DRAM Gen 4 in most use cases.

Managed to get this product from the Black Friday sales and it works wonders from my gaming PC. Have not encountered any issues, however I do wish it was easier to open from the inside.

I highly recommend this. Its a really good SSD. Windows boot time is quick, games launch quickly, and under the het sink it runs very cool.

My only gripe with this product is that crutial announced they will be abandoning the pc gamers. Great ssd though, i'd buy another if they still made them.

Got this on sale as a minor upgrade to my current storage and am loving this drive so far. Double the speed of my old drive and the faster speed is definitely worth the upgrade.

I got it to uograde my ssd in my ps5 due to not having enough space. I jnow is gen 5 but when i got it on sale it was the same price as gen 4.
