I didn't realize you should replace your power surge protector every few years. I had a good one, but it was old (5+), and BBuy recommended this one. Glad I got it!

works well but make sure not to overload it or it makes a very annoying beeping noise. Not as feature packed as some of the more expensive models

Previously had to repurchase a router and modem due to a power surge and an ineffective surge protector but haven't had a single issue since installing this.

Not much to say in 2 months of use. We have had 2-3 power outages without any disruption to the units connected to the backup. I have my cable modem, router, and backup server all connected. Since the power outages tend to be quick on/offs, I'm not concerned about battery time. But I used to have problems with having to do 10 sec resets because the quick power surges were screwing up the devices. Haven't had to do that since I started using this battery backup.

This is okay for a home office setup, however, the space between outlets doesnt factor in for side-positioned plugs.

I bought this guy to protect my TV and DirecTV. However it wasnt big enough for my Samsung 55" LED HDTV. I use it for my DirecTV, modem, wireless router and playstation instead. I have bought the bigger version for the tv. It works great for the smaller electronics. I got tired of everytime I had a power surge the DirecTV box would have to re-boot taking about 15 minutes. Now the battery backup keeps it going plus it doesnt get shocked by the surge.

I have a backup generator that comes on 45 seconds after a power interruption so this does two things that I need. It keeps my computer from shutting down during a power blink or short interruption and provides a fair lightning and surge protection to my electronic devices for not much money.

This unit worked out for what I was looking for. Could have gone with a larger one.
