Great game once they fix it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me be honest the game has amazing potential the story is amazing the freedom of choice is amazing but the bugs and constant crashes on PS5 are extremely frequent during the course of a two or three hour playtime you might get two complete crashes and then they're a little bugs here and there that either need to restart the game or do something special to get rid of them once that's patched the game will be amazing on a side note this game is absolutely positively not for younger players there's a ton of cursing extremely explicit sex scenes and just all around very adult nature content

OK game if you can get it for cheap
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Still some bugs. The game is visually stunning at times, but the gameplay has some left to be desired. I got this on clearance for $10 so can't really complain

A phenomenal, yet unoptimized game
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sadly, I had to install it on my gaming rig to throughly enjoy it. I love it! It is just that the PS4 version that I original purchased wasn't optimized for the older hardware. The updates continue making the game more playable though and for those who were lucky enough to get a PS5, the update is coming which will bring it closer to the PC version that i am currently playing. Still, if you loved Blade Runner or Altered Carbon, you will love this game. The open world is huge and interactive. A thrill to explore.

Arasaka Scum !!!!! LOL
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot say I dealt with the amount of bugs other players state they had with this game, but it doesn't take away from the fact that this game is amazing. The story is great, the dialogue is great, and the gameplay can, at times, be very buggy. Hopefully CDPR doesn't stop working on this title as it has a lot of good associated with it. I'd recommend it but probably not at the $60 price tag. Keep an open mind with this game and look pass the bugs .... I know that's easy to say and hard to do.

Purchase with an open mind
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took a chance in this game since it was discounted at the time of purchase and the developer released a substantial patch. I have not spent much time in the game and have encountered many bugs which at times take away from the beauty and immersive world that has been created. Specifically there are a lot of times NPC’s pop in and out, and several occasions where it takes several seconds for the detail of any specific area to fully come into frame. Story and narrative is top notch, but things have not flowed very well. Playing on PS5. Still hopeful the developer will continue to patch and update. Until this game is improved and optimized for the PS5, I will most likely shelve it.

Cyberpunk 2077
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.(Played on PS5) Starting off — this game is very, very buggy. I didn’t come across anything necessarily game-breaking, but I can’t speak for everyone. Lots of rendering issues and small things that make the game feel unfinished. If you’ve played Fallout or Skyrim before, this shouldn’t be too big of an issue. The main annoyance was the full-stop crashing out of nowhere. Once every couple hours at least. If you’re playing on PC I’ve heard it’s a pretty clean experience as it’s intended. If you’re playing on PS4 I would unfortunately not buy this game until it’s patched further. The story is very good and I can’t wait for my second play through once the games patched further. I’ve enjoyed the side quests I’ve completed, but am sort of speed running the main storyline instead so that my second run is as new to me as possible. The tech and all the combat options were a little overwhelming at first (specifically the perk tree), but once you realize there are a couple different ways to complete a mission, not necessarily a right or wrong way, then it becomes a little more natural. My current V build is more of a tank, bum-rush, play style with guns and I can’t wait to be more of a hacking build when I run this game a second time. Regardless of all the bugs, negative publicity, etc.. it’s a great game that I’m having a ton of fun with. Further patches and updates will only make it better and I can’t wait to see what it’s like when it’s polished. 4 stars opposed to 5 because it definitely was released unfinished.

||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worth it if you get it on sale, I got it for $10 so it was worth for me. It’s a good game it was just really bad at launch.

Perfect for Casuals
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a casual gamer playing post the first major update, I enjoyed the game. I already played it on release day on my gaming PC. Saw very few glitches and didn't understand the bad reviews. The story and characters are captivating, the gameplay is fun and the dystopian lore is immersive. Definitely doesn't run as well on my PS4and I understand the complaints. If you can get this new game for $30, I think it's a steal.

Mostly buggy, but solid when it’s playable
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took a weekend off work to play the game and ended up only playing it for 1 day, or about 4 hours total. The game is a buggy mess. Graphical glitches, groggy frame rate, constant pop ins, you name it. Any bug or glitch you can think of. It even crashed 4 times within an hour, 6 times total in 4 hours. It is a by the numbers, looter shooter, action RPG. Think more Fallout 4 than Fallout New Vegas. Pretty disappointing since I was looking for a more hardcore rpg, but it’s still not terrible. The story so far is really interesting and I’m invested in the characters despite my immersion getting shattered from the bugs or the smudged textures. I’d recommend it in a few months, maybe a year on console. Get the PC version if you can.

Ok but glitches
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good game but it had too many glitches when it came out. I bought it on sale for about $25. If you can get it for that price it would be worth it

Amazing, flawed for now (conditional recommend)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chances are that if you are reading this review, you are a little less salty about the release of Cyberpunk 2077. If you are still bummed about it, my recommendation is to wait it out. CDPR is not known for perfect releases, but they are known for incredible world-building, spectacular art, and honing a presentation into perfection with time. The Witcher 3 is a perfect example - It was (believe it or not) much worse at launch than this. And eventually, they got it all straightened out. Technically, this mostly runs impressively well on the PS5, despite the fact that the code is not optimized for that hardware (as of 20210301). For those on the PS4 base system, I would not recommend it at all yet, or maybe ever. For those with a PS4 Pro, this is largely up to you, whether or not you can handle the frame dips. As I mentioned before, this is not far off from how the Witcher launched last generation, and those frame times and performance were noticeably worse. This one does have some hitches that get significantly more manageable as you climb the console stack. And the best part is that it will only get better, both in terms of performance, and visuals, particularly for PS5 owners, who will eventually benefit from extended settings and variable refresh (when it's made available). For now, it's imperfect, but still an ambitious and beautiful game. The artwork and soundtrack are stunning. The implementation of the FPS and RPG elements are not as straightforward as I would like, but it's a unique take that is fairly fresh. The world is dense and alive. The story is a bit "on rails" for many segments, but again, it will grow with time. This is one title that I would love to recommend, but that recommendation is 100% conditional on your console/platform, and your tolerance for frame rates that aren't yet stable. It will improve, and I have faith in CDPR's ability to polish this to a Witcher-esque shine, given time.

Cyberpunk 2077 review
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For all the talk about the game having huge bugs and other problems, the game works surprisingly well on the ps5. There are a few glitches and I've had 2 crashes so far, but overall everything has been smooth. The bugs are the only criticism I have because everything else is absolutely fantastic. The gameplay, the story, the fullness of the city turns this game into a fantastic futuristic experience.

Idea and story - Great. Execution - Poor
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This would be a five-star game if it wasn't a buggy mess. If you can deal with the occasional crash the world and story are great. Just don't bother playing on base consoles (PS4/xbox one) Unplayable

Great potential
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So it’s a really good game. Fun gameplay, good story, and a big world to explore. The glitches and bugs make it pretty broken for PS4, but once those are fixed it’ll be a game of the year contender

Intriguing world, but needs work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost, my thoughts on this game is based on my experience while playing on the PS5. I know many have had issues with performance of last gen systems, so I can't speak to that. So far, the game has been fun. It runs well for next gen and looks great. That said, there is quite a bit that the developers need to work on here. Overall, there is a solid game to build on here. The world is intriguing and the customization is great. I think that bugs, although far less on next gen, need to be fixed first. Then they need to expand the experience. So for anyone expecting the full experience promised, it isn't there yet. But I have a feeling it will get there eventually.

Good...except for all the bugs
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Played this on the PS5, so I didn't have issues with the graphics quality, but there were definitely other bugs. Some of them were funny, but the worst was definitely how it would crash once every about 1.5-2 hr. That being said, I enjoyed the story and I liked the world they built, so if that particular bug was not there, this definitely would have been rated higher, but the random crashing was too annoying. If you really want to get the most out of the game, I recommend doing some outside reading on tips on how to play - some important mechanics aren't explained really well in the game. I'd recommend this to a friend, at least for the PS5 - once they get the bugs worked out.

A rushed mess, but stay tuned?
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As it stands, this game is not really in a playable state on the advertised platform it comes in, which is PS4/XboxOne. However the game runs perfectly fine on the newest system and with a little bit of work, could easily be a technical masterpiece. The packaging is quite robust with included items such as a paper map, a history/reference mini book, stickers, and postcards. Many games these days include nothing so this is a nice change of pace. With that said, what about the game itself? How is the story and features of the game? Perhaps rather than include as many items that can be stuffed in game case and cover sleeve, perhaps they should have put some of that time into including the advertised features shown in some of their marketing videos or on their "Night City Wire" videos. Compare what was being talked about as far back as 2018 to what was released, you will find many features just gone. They vanished. Did they not have enough time? Change in game direction? Cut content? Time will tell. Combine this with the new reports of the crunch time many of the programmers and developers faced for well over a year and the FIVE different delays in a single year is going to put unnecessary strain for at least half a year to late 2021. Other design choices compared to games even 15-20 years ago seem odd at best and antiquated at worst. The current recommendation is to sit back and wait for the proper PS5/XboxSeries upgrade to be release or available to purchase. By the time the game is finished and relatively stable, perhaps there will be enough of these new consoles to actually enjoy the game. Or if you must, sit through it now and be prepared for a half baked idea.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has had a rough launch for sure. From not looking so great in ps4 to the many bugs and crashes. But overall if you don't mind the visuals at times and bugs its a great experience with a rich story. The gun play is great for me. Enemies can be spongy at first but as you progress it gets better. Side quests are amazing so far i have been engaged in side quests more. In time with the bugs gone and crashes plus being polished it would be a 5 star games.
