Should be much better than it is...

It's funny, I purchased a laptop from Best Buy a couple years ago that still runs games like SWTOR and TERA at full graphics. I paid around 1200$ after tax for that laptop which was a little steep but I really wanted something with some computing power. Here we are in the present with a desktop computer that (on paper) has far better hardware than my aging laptop. Unfortunately this computer runs some of my favorite games 20-40 FPS slower than my laptop and on LESS INTENSIVE SETTINGS! Either what's being put into this machine ISN'T actually in there, or they trashed my computer during shipping. AVOID!

      Lawrence,

Thank you for choosing a CybertronPC Kombat-X2; we regret that your initial experience has been less than satisfactory and are happy to assist you.

First, while shipping damage is thankfully rare due to the robust packaging we use, if your system was damaged during shipping, we will absolutely stand behind the computer and get you an undamaged, properly functioning machine.

Simply contact our Friendly Customer Service Team through our toll-free number 855-490-2569, or by email at: [email protected]. Whether you call or email, please reference 'C-21415-9033'.

However, based on the games you named, we believe the issue is not a damaged system, but rather a compatibility/configuration issue between the particular games being run and the CrossFire mode the video cards are run in.

While many games benefit without issue from a CrossFire configuration, some do not, or require additional software configuration.

For example, on the Tera forums, there is a post regarding low FPS and Crossfire. To remedy the situation, they suggest:
      1) Opening the Catalyst Control Center
      2) Go to Gaming
      3) Add Profile and select the Tera.exe file
      4) Change Crossfire mode to AFR Friendly and set VSync to always on
      5) Save
      6) Edit the S1Engine.ini file and set Vsync from False to True
      7) Save

There are similar posts detailing fixes for helping SWTOR perform well with CrossFire as well.

If you would like assistance with any of your games that you are experiencing performance that is less than you feel it should be, our Friendly Customer Service Team as detailed above, and we will gladly assist you.

We hope the above has been informative, and we look forward to helping you and making your experience with your Kombat-X2 system a positive one!
