Waste of money

However the big issue we kept having was the lights would just turn on by themselves or be partly turned on. The unit would also just randomly loose internet connections. I ended up uninstalling it and installing a smart switch that was half the price and I’ve had no issues.

Disappointing

I installed this switch and had nothing but issues. After installing, per the instructions, it has has repeated issues with updating, half the time it is not responsive to Alexa, and other times it responds on a 5-10 second delay. I have spent more time emailing and talking with technicians only to have the same issues disappear and come back. Disappointing is the only word to describe this product and the customer service help

Good but 4-wired version is better

Call to support to get help installing.

The 3 wire switches are typically for older homes that do not have neutral wires and includes a bulb adapter to improve wattage. The 4 wire is for neutral wire setups as having that neutral wire helps regulate voltage. -C by GE Support

Posted .Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The issue you described is common in 3 wire switch installations due to wattage reasons with the wiring in your home. Due to not having a neutral wire connected as is the case with our 4 wires you will need to have the included bulb adapter installed to help regulate wattage. If you do not have an E26 base fixture then please contact us at 1-844-302-2943 and we can send you a fixture adapter to use instead. -Cync Support Team

Do Not Buy Unless You Want Random Stobe Lights

These switches only work as intended when connected to wifi with a very strong signal. GE should have defaulted the switch behavior to work as a normal switch if the internet goes out, but they didn't. Based on my experience, I would recommend that you buy any other brand instead of these switches.

Not working has designed

What we typically do to resolve that issue is to power cycle the switch by pushing or pulling the tab at the bottom for 3 seconds. The switch will go red and then ready to set back up.
