After putting my new D-Link DIR-880L into service recently I have noticed a huge improvement in range & speed in my home network. The unit was so easy to set up, less than 10 minutes for my system. The router is a well made and sturdy device that is designed well. It has been running for a month or so and no problems. Watched some streaming HD movies with no buffing. (download speeds dependent on your ISP package.)

I have set up several routers for our house over the years, and this one was by far the easiest. Literally, in less than 10 minutes I had this D-Link DIR 880L up and running. It has excellent range and good speed for the average user. I have it installed in our lower level and we get excellent connections every where in the house as well as out on our deck. The auto channel feature works great for us since we seam to live in an area where there is a lot of wireless traffic from the neighbors. This is a great router for the money, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for wireless PC/Tablet connections with limited gaming/home entertainment center activity.

I have been using Dlink routers for many years now. I purchased this to upgrade to an AC router. I have had no issues with the router. I upgraded the firmware to the current version on DLink site. I have several DC reservations and have not had any issues like I read in some reviews. The current firmware does address an issup with this

Decent price - Easy setup - plenty of range - stays connected

Great house coverage, along with fairly easy set up. You are not provided a disk for installation so you have to log onto the router to set up. That's my only complaint. Otherwise I believe this to be the best AC 1900 out there for the price. Unit is a bit bulky. Quite happy with purchase

Needed to replace my current router. Comcast sent me modem/router and it was horrible. The Comcast modem/router would shut down 2-3 times a day and reboot. After 2 months I called Comcast and stated I wanted only a modem. They switched it out and I went to BEST BUY to purchase this D-Link. Excellent coverage area, great for business and also homes. Thank you BEST BUY! and D-Link!

I bought this to counteract a modem-router all-in-one. This has done it's job tenfold. ... I went from getting about 75mbps on my tablet to 150. I also went from no more than 300mbps on my wireless ac computer to a steady speed of roughly 600mbps. I can access the 2.4 and 5 ghz anywhere in my house and my phone even connects to it before I drive into my driveway.

Purchased this router to replace a 5 year old model. We were having connectivity issues (phones not connecting when we get home from work). We have a dozen "smart" devices in the house normally before the kids come to visit. This router solved all those issues and greatly increased coverage (reception) areas. Easy to setup too!

I have about 10 - 12 devices connected at once. My previous router kept requiring a reboot. New router, easy to connect. Speed has been very good. No problems with any devices connected to it. Not thrilled with how I have to access my external hard drive that is connected to it but other than that, it has been working well.

I'm a Dlink guy for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. I have a large family with multiple gamers, FB, and youtube streaming junkies to say the least. I have yet to see any slowdown when all 6 of us are busy doing what we do. The range covers my whole house and a few houses down if I choose to when over BBQ at the neighbors. I run my cellphones and tablets off one frequency and game consoles/pc on another. Plug and play for all you non technical folks or abilities to tune and tweak what comes in and out of your network for the more advanced users. With Bestbuy price match it was even better deal.

I have been using this router for about a week. I bought it because I was having some issues with my 5-year-old model. The dual band actually provides multiple frequency options for my devices to connect greatly reducing my connectivity issues. I especially like the convenient setup utility. It's easy to access, and the information provided is very helpful.

excellent Router, the signal is powerful. the 5GHz band works excellent. the 2.4GHz band is a bit slow.

I don't write reviews very often but sometimes when a product comes along that actually works as advertised I like to share my thoughts and insights. First off, let me say over the last three to four months I have been searching for an AC router that not only would give me great range in my 2000 sq foot house but also have cloud apps so that I can gain access to my photos and media and also monitor my network while away from home. I had never owned a Dlink product before this purchase but I had read good things about them but had no idea out of all the expensive AC routers that I had tried that this one would be the keeper! Out of the box, this router was very easy to set up with my cable modem. I was up and running in less than 5 minutes! Dlink includes the default SSID's and password on a sticker on the router as well as providing it on a card which is inside the package. This router compared to most of the others currently on the market is definitely smaller and space saving yet is ventilated very well and doesn't even get warm to touch! that is very important because I think heat is the number one killer of these newer routers. I really like the black , shiny finish to this router as it looks really good but it does attract finger prints fairly easy. When setting this router up for the first time just connect to the router via wifi or you can hook a computer with an ethernet cable directly into one of the router's LAN ports and just open up a browser by typing in 192.168.0.1 and you will be greeted with a setup wizard that will guide you through the setup. The GUI is very clean and well laid out but for power users it may be missing some of the bells and whistles. This router does support third party firmware but in doing so that would void your warranty so I just stick with the stock firmware. Upon installation, the router immediately prompted me for a firmware update and it did that with no problems. Once I set up my wireless SSID's, password, etc it was time to install the mydlink lite and share port apps on my smartphone.......this is where dlink is far ahead of the game in my opinion. These apps, although a little tricky to set up work flawlessly once set up. The key is to first go online and set up your mydlink account. The next thing you have to do is link your router to your mydlink account and from there its smooth sailing..........The only negative things I have to say about this router is 1. the antennas are a bit flimsy and they're not very sturdy and will fall over if you handle and move your router a lot so I suggest you decide on a place and not mess with it much. 2. there isn't much documentation on how to set things up to where you can access the router's GUI remotely.....I can tell you that you will need to use port 8081 if you want to do that and to access your USB drive remotely using their shareport app you will need to use port 8181........I about pulled my hair out trying to figure that out but once I did I haven't had any issues whatsoever. This router has supports both the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz bands and has a dual core processor so it can handle a pretty good amount of devices. I have no problems whatsoever streaming live and on demand video. I have three tivo DVR's that are hard wired and I also have a roku 3, apple tv, roku streaming stick, xbox 360, one smartphone, desktop, tablet, printer, and two laptops so on any given day there can be 10 plus devices connected and running simultaneously and I yet to experience any lag or problems! I truly believe this is one of the best routers that is currently out on the market for the price. I can tell you that I have tried some of the more expensive routers such as the netgear nighthawks and the higher end Asus routers and this one hands down is my favorite. I've owned this router for about a month and it has not reboot or given me any problems not the first time. If this router should start giving me any unforeseen problems I will update this review accordingly but as of now I have to say I am now a big fan of Dlink and their routers .

Very easy to hook up and runs real smoothly would purchase it again

I decided it is time to replace the good old D-Link DIR655 with a new model. The 880L dual band works perfectly and is easy to setup. It does more than my IP provider can offer.

This is a great router for what I need it for. Every device gets excellent reception through the house. Would recommend this router. Nice price also.
