    I purchased the DIR-890L and have been extremely pleased with it's performance. I had difficulties locating how to hide my SSID and called support. Ref Id - C6703896 I spoke with and agent (AR004620) and he was very professional helpful in helping locate the how to disable the SSID broadcast.

    Ultra good looking router. Everything Works right of the box. Had a port forwarding issue, called DlinkTech Support, agent was helpful. Problem was resolved right away. Agent ID: AR004620 Ford Reference # C6700403

    Very poor Dlink customer service

    I was looking for a router to handle the many wifi devices at my house. I attempted to connect the router to the cable modem/router provided by my isp. The tech service at my isp was able to assist me in setting up the modem and I simply needed help in finding the necessary settings in the dlink router. I called dlink tech support. The tier one support was only able to address password resets. They were going to charge me an additional 50 dollars to be transferred to higher level tech support. I returned the dlink router. Best Buy was great with the return and I exchanged it for a similar router from netgear which connected flawlessly. I do not plan to purchase anything from dlink again.

    Stopped Working - Now an expensive red brick

    Purchased this router as it looks amazing. Unfortunately looks are everything. Worked for 1 year 2 months. Then started having issues... major issues. The biggest problem is that the 5G band does not always work. The router has a primary and secondary 5G band. But one would stop working and it keeps switching between which one wants to work! Several calls to tech support with a case number, firmware upgrades, suggestions on settings, and multiple reboots AND resetting to factory standards multiple times, the techs said it was defective. So here's the kicker, they told me there is nothing they can do about it now as it is 2 months out of warranty. So basically it's a brick... a red, expensive brick. So BE CAUTIOUS and know that if you purchase this product, it will stop working after a year and you will be out all that money for such an expensive item.

    Waste of money

    The thing worked for a week when one of the 5G bands went out. I have a little networking experience and trouble shot it myself , then called DLink and went over it with them and came to the same conclusion. It was defective and needed to be sent back. Instead of sending it back in and waiting for a new router to show up(and being without internet) I did a cross shipment which they charge your CC for the full price of a new one. Not really an ideal option seeing to the fact you now have $700 tied up in equipment with them. And you have to pay for shipping on the defective product. So after all that, they send me a refurbished unit with loose screws and missing parts. The one I sent them was a week old, plastic still on it. I mean I can see this if I was returning it at the end of the warrenty, but after a week, really? So I paid full price for a refurbished unit. I've spend so much time and effort on the phone with DLink it's sad, their customer service sucks. I've been waiting on a response from a manger for days which was suppose to happen within 48 business hours. I called them this morning to get an update and the RMA specialist hung up on me. Please don't waste your money on their products, I WILL NEVER BUY/RECOMMENDED DLINK products again.

    Horrible customer support

    Router works ok. But support is horrible. First time I emailed customer support it went ignored. I bought this super expensive d-link router because everyone raved about the customer service. Not me. I recently moved my router from room A to room B. I accidentally reset it. I have it back up and running except for one thing. It pushes wireless internet great but the hard wired other locations in my house are dead and not getting any internet. Please help ASAP!

    Upgraded to this router from a netgear N600. Let me start off by saying that for such an advanced router you get absolutely no features. The whole interface is setup for someone with zero computer experience which means you get pretty much zero customizing. Beyond that, the range is no better than the N600 and the speeds are no better either. Sure, if I stand 10 feet away from the router I can experience better speeds but who needs that? From 10 feet I can plug in a cable. Do not waste your money on this router.
