Good price for 2 cameras. I used it to keep an eye on my pup. The camera has sound capabilities. You can record to the cloud and take still pics. Easy instructions but had issues connecting camera but finally got it.

The units showed ok video but the app didn't work well and there were multiple apps that all did something different. Each app required a different firmware update and sometimes it word and other times it didn't The worst problem was when the unit switched from day to night vision it would click very loud. When it was in the living room it would change with the lighting from the TV and got really annoying.

It is cheap but not good at all. 1. The setup is very complicated 2. It cannot be added to the device list of their online account site 3. It wound send you an email with a snap shot 4. If you want an image or recording, you have to subscribe their Cloud storage service, which costs. ( of course, it gives u a free try at the first ) 5. It does not support their dlink lite app. It only supports the dlink app.

I am very happy with this product. The double pack really came in handy and once they're all set up and you have the app, and have played with options, it's such an easy and reliable product (thus far for me).

The camera's 720p resolution is fine, the night vision however is limited. The Dlink software is also very limited. It is nice that you can adjust the sensitivity of the audio or motion sensor though; however, it keeps timing out after 20 secs & you always have to refresh; even the web client does that. There is no scheduling function, you do get notifications but all it does is launch the app, it doesn't show you any snapshots or video of what happened.

These cameras are great for a good number of reasons. Setup is super easy and only takes a couple of minutes in all. The quality is great in both day and night time more than sufficient enough to see or monitor what's going on in a room. The cameras/app feature motion and sound detection so that you can be alerted on the app so you can check the camera remotely. Note that recording is manual but these cams are compatible with the dlink DNR so you can set them up to record on a schedule or motion automatically with it. The power cords are long enough for most places you'd want to set the cameras, and the best part is that it appears that you could swap the cable out with a longer micro USB cable if you were looking to go a longer distance or looking at concealing the cord (a huge plus for not being proprietary). As for the app, it's easy to use and the pinch to zoom feature is handy as I've used other security camera apps that do not have that functionality. I'd recommend these for anyone looking to get a couple cameras to get started with indoor home surveillance and have the ability to expand and add more cameras or functionality later by getting a DNR or other DLink Cameras. It is important to note that they don't automatically record themselves as there's nowhere local to store the video without a Network Video Recorder but DLink offers solutions for that as well (check out the DNR Network Recorder). Pros: Good video quality Easy installation and setup Versatility/Scalability with other DLink Hardware MicroUSB Cable/Power Tablet/Phone Apps Audio and Video Motion Detection Alerts 2.4ghz N/G Wifi Easy to use apps Cons: None so far

I currently have a Netgear Arlo camera system with two cameras and while it’s a decent system, I wanted to try some cameras that I could run through my own Linux server running Zoneminder. According to Zoneminder’s Wiki page most D-link cameras work with the software so I thought these would be a good fit. These cameras have a small form factor and fit in the palm of my hand, which is a plus when trying to get the cameras to fit in with décor around the house. The power cord for each camera is only about 4’ long so if you have hopes of placing a camera on top of a shelf or other furniture you may need to buy an extension. An 8’-10’ power cord would have been ideal for me. The cameras were very easy to get setup using the D-link Lite app on my phone and they send out alerts when they sense motion or sound to allow you to log in and see what’s going on, however they do not start recording until you press the record button in the app and it will save the recording to your phone. When signed into My D-link on a web browser you only have an option to take a snap shot and can’t record video. The cameras do not have an SD card slot so there is no local video storage option. The 720p image is good and clear and the night vision is stated to work out to 16’ and it appears to work out that far on the inside of my house. The camera has a good wide angle and can cover a large area. I didn’t notice any distortion in the lens with this wide angle and there was no fish eye effect. The face of the camera has a red light and a green light once setup and while it is nice to look at the camera and see its doing ok the down side is that those lights make the camera visible to anyone who may be inside your house at night, including a burglar who could potentially disable the camera before you have a chance to log in and start recording. Going through the settings for the camera I did not see any option to turn either of these lights off. Going through the settings on the web and on the app I did not see any options to purchase cloud space so I am not sure if that is even an option for this camera. If this is possible, perhaps this will activate the ability to record on motion. I have been trying for several days now to get the cameras running with Zoneminder but can’t seem to find the correct Remote Host Path to capture the streaming image from the cameras. So far all I have been able to see in Zoneminer is a still image capture from when the cameras were first turned on and setup. I called D-link technical support with the hope that someone would know the Remote Host Path for this camera but nobody there could help me. I will keep trying, but if you are thinking of purchasing this camera for use in a home security server setup this camera may not work for that purpose. I will also try Xeoma to see if the camera will work with that client software. If you are looking for an inexpensive camera system for your home this camera has potential and I can give it three stars but it does have some shortcomings. It would get 4 stars if it worked with client software such as Zoneminder and I will update my review if I can get it working.

These D-Link cameras are so very small! Literally as small as a pack of gum or lipstick. The cameras were very easy to set up with the D-Link app and have an excellent output at 720p. The IR Night mode is very bright and illuminates a medium sized room. The app allows for zooming in, motion trigger and remote notification. It's the size and ability to locate these unobtrusively are their selling point. I am pretty so that if a thief broken into my house and set off the motion detection they would be hard pressed to locate the cameras. If you are looking for very small but excellent security or room cameras these will be a great purchase! Good Shopping!

The cameras were fairly easy to set up and get working on the local network. I let them boot up while I installed the mydlink Lite app on my phone and set up an account. After it was booted up and ready, I scanned the QR code with the app, filled in my wifi information, and connected it to the network. I was able to quickly stream the 720p HD video from it. I do currently have a support case open with them because I'm not able to stream video when my phone is on cellular. If I'm at a remote location where I can connect to a wifi it works just fine, but not if I switch to cellular. I suspect this is a problem in the app with my particular phone rather than a problem with the cameras. Hopefully they'll find a fix soon. The wide-angle 120 degree lens does distort things a little, but it's worth it to get the larger viewing area. The quality of the video is very good and the infrared view in the dark is also clear and bright within the 20' or so range. I was pleasantly surprised that it had audio output, too (1-way audio, listen only) though it wasn't high quality. You can also receive push notifications in the app when the camera detects motion or hears a sound above a threshold that you can configure. While it does seem to use the D-Link cloud when you view the video stream remotely, there isn't a subscription required. It also doesn't seem to have the capability to record motion events in the cloud (like an Arlo, for example) nor can it record locally to an SD card. You can, however, record live video to your phone via the app. There are a couple of potential negatives to the camera, including there is no way to securely mount them. They appear to be designed to sit unobtrusively on a desk or shelf. If you have curious pets that you're monitoring, you might have to get creative on a way to fasten them in place. Also, the micro USB power cable is very thin and easily chewed into pieces by, for example, a kitten. (Speaking from experience here) The good news is the power is just the standard micro USB connector, so I'm able to get an "armored" USB cable and plug it into a standard USB charger and power the camera. Pets also make the motion and sound notification pretty much useless. But if your house is normally quiet and empty then I could see the notification alert being a very useful feature. I do wish there was a way to schedule times when the alerts are active with other times when they're suppressed, but it doesn't look like that's an option. For the price, I think these are nice cameras to quickly get set up and monitoring in your house or garage. If you know what it's capabilities and limitations are ahead of time and set your expectations accordingly, I think you'll be happy with these cameras.
