Nice router

I had to uninstall all the software and do the whole installation over after it failed to connect with my modem. Second time around it worked fine and has since.

AFTER SEVERAL FAILED EFFORTS, ROUTER WAS FINALLY OPERATIONAL SOLUTION APPEARED NOWHERE IN THE PRINTED INSTRUCTION, NOR WAS I ABLE TO CONNECT ONLINE. GOTTA WONDER WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN WHEN I MUST REINSTALL AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRES AND TECH SUPPORT COSTS LOTSA!

Not worth the buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup, bad service. The router actually decreased my internet speed by 75% when tested on WiFi compared to the Ethernet cable. After paying $20 in shipping, pretty upset about this.

Good router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great router for the price. Be sure to upgrade the firmware. I bought this router and had some very specific port forwarding and DHCP reservation requirements. At first, the router DHCP reservation did not work at all. I had the router check to see if it had the latest firmware, and it said there were no needed updates. Later on, while on the D-Link site, I found that there *was* a new firmware for the router, and the release notes said it fixed a DHCP reservation problem. So I downloaded and applied the new firmware, and the router has worked great since then.

good router with a problem

I called D-Link support and was able to get it working again. The internet address was not 192.168.0.1 as it should have been. D-link case nbr C6702021 Badge ID AR004218 was very helpful.
