This web cam is great for the price. It was easy to set up and works fine. It is nice to be able to move the camera around remotely. However, I now wish I had spent a few more dollars for the higher resolution camera. The 720 is fine and the images are clear, but if you want to take a picture and enlarge it, it would be good to have the better resolution camera.

At first, the camera would disconnect itself after a few days. Then, I became aware of a firmware update. I downloaded and installed the firmware update. Now, it disconnects on ocassion but then receonnects to the wi-fi network on its own (automatically). So far, so good. I haven't had any more issues with it disconnecting and having to reconfigure it.

This is one of four different cameras I purchased to try out for basic home monitoring. Picture quality is good and night vision only adequate. Ended up returning as I wanted a camera with a memory card, rather than having to pay for a subscription service. This camera has neither, so it is basically for live monitoring feed only. The pan/tilt function works; however, is slow and motor is noisy. Setup was slow and for being a wireless camera, the camera cannot be installed without first having to connect to router via cable. Once setup is complete, the camera can be used wirelessly. I use the DlinkLite app on both an Iphone 5S and an Amazone Fire HD. The Amazon app is far more user friendly, as reviewing video and deleting from the installed memory card is much easier. The iphone app is very cumbersome, especially when trying to delete video. Overall, ended up purchasing a different model (the DLink DCS 2132L) and am more satisfied, although apps and setup are still not great.

I love this camera! I bought it to keep an eye on my dogs while I am at work. I set this up in less than 30 minutes. There is an app on my iphone to view the room. It has given me peace-of-mind while im away from my fur babies!

Obviously we liked the DLink since we bought a second one. It was fairly easy to install and while away we are able to monitor quite a bit of our home . It gives us peace of mind. We get emails if it is disconnected but often these are not accurate as we can see they are on. However, if they go off, there is a way of getting them back on remotely.

The camera is an excellent value. Optics are good and camera is responsive to commands. The 5020L was very easy to set up. However the performance of myDlink Home and myDlink Lite apps for IOS 8 is unpredictable and therefore undependable. Try CameraFTP or Blue Iris instead.

I gave 5 stars b/c I knew what to expect before my purchase. This isn't an expensive purchase, thus I didn't have $1500 expectations. Purchased to keep an eye on our post-op doggie. Setup was easy - maybe 20 mins b/c I had to go upstairs to the router twice. Registering and setting up on multiple devices, easy. Picture quality during the day, clear & better than average. Picture quality at night, clear for short range viewing, better than average. Was it a good purchase? Yes and would make it again.

This is a good camera, and my 3rd DLink. The other 2 are the 5222L models, and those offer the ability to change the resolution on the video stream at times, and the ability to talk through the camera(either talk or listen, can't do both at the same time). Other than missing these 2 features, it is a good camera and works well.

Personally, I use this IP camera as my baby moniter. His Mom and i both have the camera control app on all of our devices and it is awesome! The Nightvision is flawless! The reason i gave it 4/5 stars is because the camera control interface is kind of slow and hard to judge where its moving to. Overall its a great buy!

Great camera works well with android, apple well maybe it's just because it's an old device not so well. Only 4 stars because I was hoping it would have some sort of Microsoft app. I know the box says Apple and Android but was still hoping. It can be view through the website but still controlling it through the app.

This camera is good for a quick check in on your place. The sound the camera makes when switching from day to night mode sets off a motion and sound alert every time. There is a 3-5 delay when accessing the camera remotely and panning also keep in mind the camera has a narrow field of view and is VGA resolution.

Overall it does what it says it does, I'm disappointed that it only does http communications so its not secure over the internet but that's pretty much the case with all retail camera's that' I've seen. Pretty poor security both for local tracking, motion and sound sensing it does a decent job for the money.

I purchased, installed and configured this camera to enable our friend's wife and daughters to monitor him during home hospice as he was dying from cancer. The camera worked flawlessly, allowing them to monitor him as easily from remote locations (daughters' homes) as from other rooms in the house, using the free mydlink app on their IOS and Android smartphone and tablets. It gave them priceless peace of mind to be able to check on him from anywhere with video and sound in real time.

I bought this security system because it was recommended to me by a Best Buy Associate. It was affordable and easy to install. I can watch the back yard and part of the house from my phone or computer. I do feel a sense of security now. I am thinking about adding another one to the front of the house.

I got the DCS-5020L on sale, for the price of the DCS-933L which I also have. Its pan & tilt controls are great for keeping an eye on our pets when we are not home. It has motion and sound detectors, zoom and brightness controls.

Camera was second unit I purchased. First worked well so I added an additional camera for viewing another area of my home. Camera was easy to setup and is easy to view from my PC or iPad. Use these camera to view my home especially when traveling. An old fashioned thermometer is in front of one camera so I can view the temperature to ensure HVAC is running properly when I am away.

We have purchase 3 of these cameras, and will be getting two more. They are easy to set up and work very well. We can keep an eye on our house from anywhere. Today I had to call Customer support and was please to get someone that went above and beyond to help me. I had an issue with my internet service provider and had to re-install all 3 of my camera's into MY D-Link.com. She helped me re-install each camera which took a lot of time. Unfortunately I did not write her name down, but her Badge ID was AAR004216. D-link Cust support is awesome.

The quality of the video is good and the pan and tilt works well. It constantly losses its connection to the router which is within 10 feet of the camera. It is properly installed and I am an extremely experienced technician. The install is insane and does not work well during the firmware upgrade. The IPad app is great when the camera maintains its connection!

Easy to set up and works well. Wish it had 2 way voice communication, but that comes at quite a cost more. The DLink app is not the best when reviewing from away from home and that is really your only link to the phone. It crashes and I've had to reload the app again.

Good enough for our needs of keeping an eye out on our puppies. It saved the dogs once from getting into some chocolate. I saw them getting into a bag and was able to rush home before they opened the bag of chocolate.
