Funny, Family Friendly Movie. Totally loved it!!!!

It seems dicey to watch a Will Ferrell movie these days ("Everything must go" was particularily dreadful) but the on-screen chemistry he shares opposite Mark Whalberg is actually a recipe for hilarity. The plot is chock full of unlikihoods which is nothing new for Hollywood in general, especially when considering the comedy genre. I can't say I would have rented this film but as it was included with my Prime account I took a chance. Something that usually results in a deep sigh accompanied by eye rolling. That all being said, I'd recommend it to any Ferrell fan as it is exactly what you've come to expect. Whalberg fans?... you may want to keep searching.

I would recommend this to a friend. However, this I'm pretty sure goes on in real life, but never on my watch. I really enjoyed the chemistry, both actors brought and the actress. The biological dad was way out of line and the step dad was too passive. The mom saw thru the smokescreen ,but her feeling were overlooked maybe because step dad wanted to prove biological dad has changed and gave him the benefit of the doubt. The airport scene for me was enough for for me. If it walks like a duck it's a duck.

Of all of Will Ferrell's movies - this was one of them. Nothing was overly impressive (hilarious) in this movie. But on the whole it was humorous just not a comedy classic. My expectations were high with a decent comedy actor (as in Ted) and a comedic genius (as in Talladega Nights or Old School) in this movie. And it was just a decent movie. Worth watching. Worth purchasing. The cameo by John Cena at the end was a nice touch.

you'll end up spitting it out of your nose. This movie is Ricky Bobby funny espescially if have kids, or step kids, or you are or had a step parent .... which is almost everyone. You've either seen stuff from this movie from the parents side or done stuff from the kids side. Buy it, watch it, then rewatch it again and again like any other Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg movie you know you already own.

First of all any movie with Mark Wahlberg is good! Seeing him in a comedy with funny man Will Ferrell is epic! They must have had a lot of fun filming this movie. Seeing the actors portray this type of acting from not their normal roles reminded us hey they are dads in real life and just staying they nailed it!!!!!!

I watched this last night with my family. Will Ferrell at his best.I love all his movies, and look forward to each new release he has. WE laughed throughout whole movie. IF you like comedy, This is a must see. Mark Wahlberg play his part to a T. If you find my review was helpful please let me know. I rather not go to much into movie as I would hate to spoil the laughter you will experience.

Another pairing with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Not as funny as The Other Guys, but still a solid effort with some good laughs. Thomas Haden Church is a hilarious supporting character playing Ferrell's boss. The movie comes with an above average DTS: X track that is a little more lively than your average comedy. At a decent price, this is worth a look.

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg make a great acting team in this one after working well together in "The Other Guys". Its just a fun movie watching them try to out-do each other, while keeping with a theme that is all together too common in today's world of winning over step children. Small, but fun twist at the end! Can't wait to see part 2!

I am not a Will Ferrell fan, but this one was hilarious! He was finally in another good PG-13 film. He's usually dropping f-bombs like crazy, but they're not in this film. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because it was fun and worthwhile but not, like, one of the most awesome movies ever. It's pretty dang funny, though. It's worth the buy.

Funny movie, not a family comedy, but I did let my 12/16 yr old watch it. Will as always is funny, Mark is good, but comedy is not his best. Spoiler: the only thing I was disappointed with is the dance scene. It was obvious Mark didn't do his own dance scene which I'm not sure why certainly he could handle and is qualified for that little bit of it.

I'm a Will Ferrell fan but I acknowledge that sometimes he can be a bit to much depending on the script. In this one he is paired with Mark Wahlberg and they play off each other very well making it a funny and fast paced movie. Plot is obviously not academy award winning material, but its a fun movie that will leave you laughing at their experiences.
