I was only 10 in 1977 when this came out. Love this flick. 1. It's a post nuclear war setting, and they have to cross the entire country to the only city that survived, which happens to be Albany, NY. Now, I live right outside of Albany (within 10 miles), & that is reason enough for me to want this on Blu-ray. So, I wanted to grab this quickly, seeing as Best Buy will no longer be selling physical media when it comes to movies (DVDs/BDs/UHD, etc), & physical media is the only way one truly owns their library, so I grabbed one, as I don't rely solely on streaming services -- things come & go, & price consistently rise. I'll also be looking for more deals before all physical movies are gone from this site. Grab this & others while you can.

If you've never seen this, if you like campy old-school movies. This is one to check out! This movie was on track to be a heavy special effect laden title. But, final edit delays, and the production company stiffing them on a very large amount of their funding took it's toll. Not that the funding went to waste! That money wound up helping to push the StarWars production to completion! The downside is this movie suffered from that, plus a fairly large portion was trimmed to lower the overallrun time. In the end they had to improvise a lot of things to get the final edit completed. It's still a good watch as it stands with a good cast. As a kid those big Landmasters were cool to see.

Excellent movie!!!! The machines used in the movie are actually real life equipment " Vehicles " This movie is TOP-NOTCH well worth adding to a video library, 44year old Classic!!!

Out of all the disaster films from the late 70's that had nuclear war fallout as a focus, this is one of my favorites. George Peppard got plenty of training for his role in the A-Team with this film.

Thos was a great post apocalypse movie that I absolutely loved, heesy effects and all.

One of the best sci-fi movies made. Saw it when I was kid and still love it today. Great cast, location, and special effects for the time. Glad to have it as part of my film collection.
