Customers praise the enhanced graphics and increased frame rate of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, along with the inclusion of all DLC. Many appreciate the challenging difficulty and substantial amount of content. However, some players found the altered combat and enemy placement less satisfying than in previous iterations.

I played it on PS3 but missed all 3 DLC. Good thing about this version is it includes everything. Frame rate is better than PS3 version. Another can't-miss title.

I am a bit biased because I love Dark Souls... but the PS4 version just ramped that up into native 1080p graphics, and more to the awesome game. money well spent

Great game. Played it on PS3 but liked it so much I had to upgrade. Comes with all DLC. It's overly tough at times but it is a lot of fun if you stick with it.

The Souls series is one of my favorites in recent memory. It's a challenging series that tests you physically, with quick reflexes and timely button presses being a necessity, and mentally, with pattern memorization, maps with multiple layers and plenty of shortcuts and other things to discover.
Dark Souls II isn't quite the game that Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are, and on the PS4 we have the spiritual successor, and better title, in Bloodborne. However, this is a worthy addition to any library as it contains the DLC and has its own community running around.
If you're easily frustrated, I'd highly recommend watching some gameplay on YouTube or elsewhere. While these games are incredible, it takes a lot of patience, along with a ton of trial and error, to master and enjoy the combat.

I'm a big fan of Bloodbourne and this is right up my alley. The combat is slower and more precise but still fun. Tons of content and really sucks you in! Recommended!

Dark Souls II is a great game, but I would say if you've already played the game on the prior systems, there probably isn't a need to replay it here. If you have not played it previously though, definitely jump in!

This is just another remaster done right. The difficulty is what makes this game what it is. Add this to your library if your into this series.

This game is relentless.. it certainly is NOT the game for people that just like easy tutorial style play-through games.. Dark Souls will test you! -- I never played Dark Souls 1 or the first iteration of this game, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I spent my first few hours dying over and over in a number of different ways. it was a combination of frustrating and hilarious. however, I learned more and more as played and have slowly been progressing. The progression is extra rewarding because of how tough it is to get there. I'm loving the game.

The Souls games are some of the most challenging and engaging games to come out in the last 10 years, and Dark Souls II doesn't disappoint.

I had never played this game on past consoles, because it for not seem to fit my play style. But after playing bloodbourne, I decided to give this a chance and I love it. It is a great game, and a must own.

Dark Souls 2 is hard. Scholar of the First Sin is harder. If you've played any of the Souls games, you're prepared, at least in theory, for the aggression these games show toward the player. You also are well-aware of the exhilaration that comes when, after failing 5, 10, 20 times, you finally succeed in killing that horrible boss, reaping the rewards you've really and truly earned.
A must-buy for fans of the Souls series. It's not a game for everyone, but if it's a game for you, you'll be hard-pressed to find one better.

I've played Dark Souls 1 and this is just as good! I did not think I would have played another Dark Souls after the first one (I just wanted to enjoy the fact that I beat the game for as long as I could LOL) but once the news of Dark Souls 3 came out, I had to get Dark Souls 2.. And I am glad I did! Yes, you will spend countless hours playing (mostly because you will die a lot) but I enjoy every second of it!! Don't think about it and just get it. There is a reason why reviews are so good for this game.

With this remaster you gain the chance to tackle all your old favorites again, but with newly added challenges. Beautifully mastered at 60 fps and in 1080p. A great update to the ps3 classic.

When I first tried this game I was unimpressed and put it down. I'd played dark souls and demon souls and without miyazaki directing i judged it too soon. I recently played through it after beating all the other souls games and was surprised by how well it played and how good the story was.
