Rage Quit Round 4

One of the best series by From Software. It is not a game for someone who just wants to run around and destroy things. It is a game where one person needs to find a way to run around and destroy things without being destroyed so easily. Time for Round 4 for this series. I say round 4 because true veterans include demon souls as part of the series because it was the foundation of this epic series.

Anyone who remembers gaming on the NES as a kid remembers those bosses and stages you needed to ask your older brother or friend to help you beat. Well, this takes you back to those days when games really tested your mettle. A fantastic game but not for those without grit. It will challenge you to improve every step of the way. If you haven't played a game by FROM SOFTWARE just be ready for a difficult but rewarding journey. Beating a boss FEELS like an accomplishment to be proud of. This game is not for everyone but if you want to test your willpower - Dark Souls 3 is waiting!

If there was ever was a game that brings back the memories of memorizing boss battles, and patterns like it used to be back in the 80's the Dark Souls series is it. Button mashing will get you killed, and only practice will let you progress. While the penalty for death is high, and some may feel it is unfair, the sense of accomplishment you get from beating a boss is great, Kind of like beating Mother Brain and Gannon for the first time. It's not everyones cup of tea, but I feel that DS3 is the best of the trilogy, as it is the most fair, and most responsive.

DS3 is the third in the Dark Souls series and continues the tradition of a dark fantasy universe, obscure storylines, mysterious characters, and of course the punishing difficulty. That being said, I think the game goes out of its way too much to be an obvious sequel to DS1. The obsession with callbacks and references, in my opinion, limits DS3's ability to be its own unique, interesting thing and develop it's own identity. I also think the multiplayer in DS2 was better, in that the invasion covenants in 2 were more varied in function in theme. DS3 also takes obvious cues from Bloodborne, another From Software game exclusive to the PS4, in that the combat in DS3 is quicker than DS1 or 2. That being said, I think the quicker gameplay worked better in Bloodborne, given BB's health regen strategy. Basically, DS3 attempts to be almost a greatest hits collections of From's prior games, but I don't think it hit quite all the marks. That being said, it's still a darn good game.

I've never considered myself a "souls gamer" but this game is just very good. The game is punishishing but rewarding at the same time. If you're on the fence about this game I suggest you play bloodborne first as it is made by the same developer but is a little easier and much more simplistic in many different ways as opposed to the dark souls games. The beginning of these games is by far the most difficult part of the game and once you get a hang of the micanics you should do ok. Be warned the game is still difficult.

First thing is fiest this game is absolutley gorgeous. The world has a sense of interconnectedness, throwing through a loop while showing you new and exciting areas. The enemy design is stunning and clever, both visually and technically. The boss design take inspiration from previous games but adds subtle twists. All in all an amazing game with tons of stuff to discover. I'd recommend this to the die hard fan and those looking for a challenge in an age where developers expect next to nothing from its players.

Much like From Software's earlier entries, Dark Souls III obscures its plot beneath its gameplay elements--the story is more concerned with tone than exposition. But what plot there is asks important questions: why do we place our idols in such high regard? How did they become our legends? The Lords of Cinder are imposing figures in Dark Souls III, and their power is attractive to pawns like us. But the end of their road is a lonely one--was that destination worth the sacrifice it took to get there?

First. These games are not for the feint of heart. They are challenging and very unforgiving. If you are looking for an easy game to play that requires no patience or skill then try your luck at something like Flappy Bird. This game looks amazing on PS4. Plays amazing. And is very rewarding when you're successful. Welcome to the pain!

If you've played previous "souls" games and enjoyed playing them you will absolutely enjoy Dark Souls 3. Fromsoftware has taken what they've learned from the past installments and perfected them with Dark Souls 3. Everything you loved about the past games is here: multi-player, exploration, tough battles, grinding, leveling up, it's all here and more. The biggest difference from past games and this installment are the graphics. The graphics are unbelievable. Pick it up, you will not disappointed.

I've played every game in the Souls series and this is the first one since Demon's Souls to really grab me. It's still devilishly difficult, but is the most accessible the series has been. It doesn't hurt that the game is absolutely gorgeous either.

This game is dope A F. It is definitely meant to devour your soul, spit it out and serve it to you for breakfast in the morning after continuously reminding you whose boss. This game is amazing. Very satisfying when the tables turn and you give it what it's been giving you. I give this game a gold star.... Also get 25 reward points for this review ;) but in all seriousness I do recommend this game to anyone that's up for a challenge and conquering the odds to achieve the impossible.

I bought this game day one knowing full well that I would get my money's worth even if it wasn't great. I've only been continuously surprised by how good it is. Difficult as ever, some areas significantly more punishing than the next or previous. Feels like a combination of Demons Souls and the original Dark Souls in environment. A brilliant game all together. I'm 22 hours in and feel like while I have seen a lot, there is much more to explore. They knocked this one out of the park.

This game is the bees knees. It's like a high school reunion for Dark souls. They brought a lot of the elements from other games back and added so much more. So much quicker paced then it's previous brethren except bloodborne. Bloodborne was the BAMF step brother but still, dark souls 3 can compete. It's awesome having friends you can run through it with. 3 minds are better than 1.

For vets of From Software games, you already know what you're getting from this game. New players who enjoy a challenge and an action RPG setting should definity check this game and all From Software games out. The storyline is very cryptic and open to interpretation. There are plenty of different playstyles, from sword and shield to dual wield to different types of magic. You can also integrate playstyles to create battle mage or spell sword type characters.

The Dark Souls franchise is one of my favorites of all time, and the third and final installment in the trilogy is no exception. Influences from the previous two games (as well as from the other two games by From Software, Demon's Souls and Bloodborne) are all there and mesh into one exciting and challenging offering. The areas are fresh, the enemies are as grotesque as ever, and the bosses are the behemoths you've come to expect. This is a can't miss title.

This my favorite Dark Souls game. Dark Souls 3 is very similar to Dark Souls 1. And Improve on a lot of different aspects of the game. The game is still difficult but I didn't find it overly frustrating. Took me about 40 hours to complete on my first play through. This game is also probably the easier Souls game to get into. But I Still would have a hard time recommend to new player. You have have patience if you want to try to get into a souls game.
