A hard and irritating game, Dark Souls 3 is still a very fun game where you can die from merely looking away within a second. As a third person character, you try to avoid dying as much as you can as you travel and fight to complete quests while enjoying its story line.

I'm late to this game, this game will teach patience and endurance. At the beginning difficulty might seem hard and unfair, but once you learn the mechanics and familiarize with combat works it's satisfying.

Nothing can quite capture the magic of the original Dark Souls, but this does a really great job as a follow up to the original. A very fun game that speeds things up a bit a la Bloodborne, but sticks to the tried and true Souls formula. Highly recommended.

I have never played a darksouls game before this one. Everyone told me that it was way to difficult and way to stressful of a game. I can safely say that this game is really good and worth purchasing. I am beginner and i love it. The only thing is that you have to give it a chance

At times this game can be extremely frustrating but it's worth it in the end when you defeat a boss who killed you multiple times. I highly recommend this game for the hours of gameplay and the satisfying combat.

This game doesn't hold your hand so at first you might have no clue what to do. And your first boss forget about it but don't give up once you get the hang of things this game will have you glued to your seat.

Having only played Bloodborne and none of the previous Dark Souls games. I am very pleased with the purchase. Starts out a bit slow, but offers a satisfying difficulty and plenty of replay value.

Dark Souls is by far the most difficult game I've ever played, but that's what makes it phenomenal. You'll die a lot but every boss battle is that much more satisfying.
Endless playback value.

Dark Souls 3 is mechanically a very successful entry in the series--the movement, animation, rolling, backstabs, parries--all feel fluid and responsive. The small life improvements are welcome--quick menu items as a placeholder for consumables is convenient, holding down the D-pad to bring up your Estus makes inventory management less of a chore. The gameplay is an award winning formula, well executed, competent. But overall the game falls short for some longterm fans. The lore is all over the place. The change to poise rewards aggressive fast play more than careful, measured progress. Sorceries feel weak and unrewarding. NPC questlines are even more arcane to play out than the usual From fair. But the gameplay--the gameplay is so good, most people will choose to overlook these flaws. There's a good game here absolutely. But it could have been better.

Dark Souls III seems like the perfect souls game. It's filled with methodical combat, beautiful scenery, memorable bosses/characters, a glorious soundtrack, challenging boss fights, all with a dash of nostalgia sprinkled about. From a technical standpoint, you could play this game without having played any prior entries, but it may not be ideal. I loved the dichotomy of fire(Unkindled) and dark(Undead), between Dark Souls III and the original. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a game that poses a challenge and is rewarding, once you retrain your play style from all out to methodical.

Dark Souls III, over the past year or two, has become one of my all-time favorite games. It is a challenging game with a lot of atmosphere that is very intelligently crafted. Unlike many RPGs that have a "winning" set of weapons and armor, Dark Souls is made in such a way that anyone can essentially win with anything regardless of starting class and/or chosen equipment. All-in-all, I find this game to be very impressive and immersive in a way that accommodates many different individual play styles and preferences.

I spent 3 hours playing this game just to beat the 1st boss. I am completely new to the Souls series, so this game is a whole new experience for me. It is as difficult and unforgiving as everyone that plays the game says, but it has this distinct way of presenting gameplay to you that keeps you hooked. Attacking and blocking is completely reflex-based and completely refined. This is a patience game that continually tests your patience so that you attack or defend at the wrong moment, and will then punish you for it. The addiction is the sense that this game has so much to discover, looting enemies for unique gear, and knowing that success or failure is completely dependent on my decisions.
