I own the Sphero 2.0 and love it but it's just not very quick. This little guy goes MUCH faster and it a blast to play with. Just be careful because unlike the ball this is NOT waterproof.

This a fantastically well made device, great toy that will provide hours of fun for kids and adults alike. This version of Ollie comes with some extra accessories and just looks cool, I got this version because I knew the recipients would be using it outside. The older kids control this while the younger ones love running around after it or away from it- be warned though it is FAST! Works well with the iPhone 5s which my son has, pairs very fast with a quick touch and the battery lasts about a hour. Not many remote control cars can keep up with that!

Got this for my 9yr old. He loves it. Spins, lights up, syncs with his tablet. Picked it up for $50. Swap the wheels out for outdoor fun.

Is a blast to drive this with your phone. There is a bit of a learning curve with the app but its not bad

I've been looking for some type of tech toy for my nine-year-old son. After much research I decided I wanted Ollie by Sphero. Then I heard about the Darkside versus so that was even better. My son absolutely loves this thing. And to be honest, after I started messing with it I think I'm a fan as well. We both wind up getting many hours of play out of this thing. And it's fast too. Pretty easy to learn how to use it due to the app being user-friendly. The app even trains you exactly how to perform tricks. Highly recommended!

Has been great for my students, but I regret not getting all Sphero spk or all Ollie. Having a mix has caused issues with students wanting one or the other.

I gifted this to my 12 years old boy and he liked it very much. Connects with tab/phone and easy to use. Built with good quality and easy to use.

Controls are too sensitive (for beginners especially!) and battery drains too quickly... but LOTS of fun!

Love the look and performance. Rugged material and nice design. Fun with teen and younger kids as well as adults. The dark cooler gives it a different style and attitude compared to the Ollie in white/blue.

I've always wanted to test out one of these since the original Sphero. So I caught this on sale at my local Best Buy and I'm so glad I did. This thing is so cool once you figure out how to steer and control it. It's pretty darn fast and my cats absolutely love it. My only con (which is why I rated it 4 stars), is the battery life. Seems I can leave this thing on charge for a long time and then after using it for only a few minutes, the dead battery symbol pops up on my phone screen. Not sure if its actually dead, or is it something in the settings I need to change. However, all in all I am glad I purchased this Sphero Darkside and recommend it to anyone looking to having some fun.

Gave this to my son for Christmas. He likes to play with it. We are using an iPad to control the device. My son is 6 years old and it is a little hard for him to hold the iPad and use the two virtual pads to drive and do tricks. It might be easier to do this on an iPhone with little hands.

My kids cant stop playing with it i love playing with it. Battery life is great can use inside or outside. Has two sets of wheels. A must buy if you have kids or if u love bots.

Lots of fun everywhere inside and out. Doesn’t travel well on grass due to the physics of it. Lots of good times, especially with kids chasing it.

It's a lot of fun to drive around and comes with some accessories that are usually extra. It also runs great outside and inside, charges quickly, and lasts along time.

Is easy to use and fun, but my cat hated it :( is nice for a fun gift for a kid with a phone or tablet to use it

My kid was using one of theese in school and always came home talking about how fun it was and so on. So we bought one for himself at home and set it up to his I pad and now I get stuck playing with it more than him. Not because he doesn't want to, but because I'm having as much fun as him now.

This is a well built toy. Operates as described. Toy did not keep my 10 yr old son's attention for very long.

Fantastic drone!!! Go fast 14 mph. Battery lasts up to an hour. Has great apps to support it
