If you've never played Darksiders, the game might best be described as a more violent and less inspired Legend of Zelda with a bit of God of War thrown in for good measure. It's an action adventure game in the most traditional sense. If you have played Darksiders and are considering this remaster, go pick it up. This is how remasters should be made. Dramatically improved visuals that are in every way faithful to the art design and mood of the original release pervade the entire game almost entirely and are accompanied by a resolution boost to full 1080 and a frame rate boost to 60 (unlike the Darksiders 2 remaster) bring this game very close to current generation standards. And you liked the way the original felt, the new 60fps presentation will feel even better.

Good story line. Excellent graphics. My only knock on the game, and it's a minor one, is that it may be a bit too easy. The puzzles aren't particularly difficult, and the fighting borders on monotonous. Over all though, it's a fun game and a good time killer.

I've had a lot of fun playing this game. It has good movement, action and story. The graphics are excellent.

I loved playing this game when it first released years ago. When I heard about the remaster I couldn't see a reason why not to go through it again. Runs smoother and looks better, this is a good remaster to pick up. Recommended if you like Zelda type adventure games.

So Darksiders has been one of my favorite games series since I first played it on PS3. I found it's gameplay highly entertaining, a familiar feel to God of War's combat system, and Legend of Zelda's dungeon styles. All with a demons vs. angels post-apocalyptic aesthetic. So a win-win. The story, while simple, kept me entertained andI rather enjoyed it. So, this awesome game, now ported to PS4 with enhanced graphics and the superior ps4 controller, what could go wrong? Well, unfortunately there's a glitch in the game where you have a random chance at the game skipping cutscenes. This is a well-known problem and unfortunately the developers have made not mention on fixing this. Perhaps because it is indeed just a port for extra money. I still say it's worth a buy though, if you know the story then you know the story. If you haven't played before and the glitch pops up, a simple restart should suffice in correcting the issue. It's a workable problem, you just need to decide if it's a problem worth working with. For me? Yes.

I played this on my ps3 and it’s even better in ps4. The graphics are awesome and the added scenes.

Seems like a consistent 60 fps (could be wrong...) and the visuals are crisp. Darksiders is an amalgamation of tropes found in countless "better" games, but in creating such a vibrant, fun pastiche I would say it transcends many of those award-winners. For me, anyway. Though combat is a little more sluggish than I remember it, having played Darksiders 2 (featuring the more-agile Death) most-recently, but these are both games that need to be better appreciated. At least support these rereleases in the hopes of a Darksiders 3!

I really liked this game! Fascinating story and tight gameplay. It's a little bit Zelda, a little God Of War, and fast action.

This Zelda/God of War hybrid has been remastered to run at 60 fps in 1080p resolution. Combat has a brute force to it and the puzzles and storyline are interesting.

This remastered edition features native 1080p rendering resolution for console platforms, 4k support and additional video options for PC, texture resolutions doubled, rendering improvements and rework, post processing effects, and more. If you have not played it the first time around this is the version to get at only $19.99. On PS4 Pro It looks amazing!!

this game has no story line just fight in the streets. The four horseman has the biggest sword I seen in my life. will keep your empty for hours on end. have fun.
