Geek squad staff were terrific and helpful in the transfer of data from my old device to my new.

I brought my old tower to store with the backup thing. Within 3 hrs,called me to OK work. My desk top was same as my old PC although they forgot to install Norton. I had to wait 3 weeks to get a Geek Squad member come to house to set up.

My older PC stopped getting power, so not able to power it up. I took it to Best Buy where I had a Geek Squad Account. They told me that they would be unable to examine it due to the no power problem. They could send it off for a examination, but the cost would be over a hundred dollars. So I bought a new one from Best Buy and had the Geek Squad remove all the data from my old one to the new PC. I assumed that would include my Kodak Easy Share S/W which I used to upload pictures to my PC. When I got the new PC home after the Geek Squad finished, I could not find things like my old pictures, documents,etc. I visited the Geek Squad who explained to me where the data files were located. They informed me that they are not allowed to remove any personal software to the new PC. I went back home and took the Disk containing the Kodak S/W and installed it, which seemed to work. When I tried opening it nothing came up. I called Kodak and was informed that they no longer supported the Easy Share S/W in any way, including downloads. That is why the download did not work and now I have a useless camera. That is the only real issue I had with the $80 dollar Geek Squad effort. I had a legitimate Kodak S/W on my old PC, so I really would have liked to have it on my new PC.

The Geek Squad was fast in moving my files to my new computer, set it up with the virus checker for me, moved all my files (even ones I hadn't recalled were on it), and made sure it ran right. Later, the same gentleman even helped me figure out the new video player program and made sure it was running correctly for me. It also makes me feel more secure with my laptop purchase that I have their backup expertise if anything goes wrong. Thanks!

Good service, they were able to restore my data and transfer it to my new device. Wish it could be a little cheaper but it is what it is.

The agents transferred all my info from my old tower to my new one. It did not take long and I am very satisfied with the job done. The nice thing was I didn't have to do anything. They did it all!

with 1 of my computers finally in its death throws... I purchased a Seagate 1T portable device. Before my oldest tower shut down after 6 years Geek Squad did a complete Data transfer without losing a thing. It is just like (still) having my old trusty Gateway FX. I plug it in to my new HP as needed. Works perfect ! Best $ ever spent. Keep in mind I do have the annual Geek Squad Protection Plan.

I bought new cell phone at Best Buy. Price was ok , but it was not in stock, so I had to get it in mail & bring it in . a Geek transferred info from old cell phone to new cell phone . There was a little problem or 2, but he got it to work.

The agent backed up my HDD, which I couldn't do because the laptop was not able to boot up. It was stuck in a boot-up loop and never could get into Windows. It took a couple of days to get my laptop HDD backed up.

My data backup was done right before sending off to the manufacturer while the computer could not turn on anymore. And I got the data backup right after I got my computer back from the manufacturer.

Had a few issues with data back up, but staff worked with me and eerything was ultimately as I wanted it. Speed very impressive on new computer considering I transferred one third of unit's capacity from previous computer. Staff explained everything to me and now I am fully operational and doing tasks quickly and efficiently!

I used the Geek Squad service to transfer data from my old computer to the new Dell Inspiron Desktop. I wanted this done the right way and didn't want to take on the task myself. Their service was very professional and efficient. I am very satisfied with their work.

The agent asked great questions and we set a plan to fix/update. The agent was able to safe my files and update my Apple MacBook Pro. Like starting fresh, with no loss, I am in heaven!!! Person at pick up:Conrad, went out of his way to make sure all was up to speed and ready to be in use!

I bought a Lenovo laptop at the Scottsdale/Hayden store at the end of January and paid for the data transfer service. Five days later the laptop was ready for pick up. When I got home I realized that the sales agent had given the Geek Squad the wrong laptop. I returned the laptop and exchanged it for the correct one. The Geek Squad then transferred the data from the wrong laptop to the new one. Another 5 day wait. This time not all of the data was transferred, including all of the Outlook files from my old laptop. I was quite frustrated and contemplated returning the laptop for a full refund. However I decided it give it one more try. Due to the long turnaround time at the Scottsdale/Hayden store (5-7 days), I brought the laptop to the Paradise Valley store. Despite my negative feelings by this time, Geek Squad Agent Greg was patient and professional. We went over everything that needed to be done, including reloading software that I had originally purchased with the new laptop. Agent Greg even called me twice with questions he had. Within 24 hours the new laptop was ready for pickup. Agent Greg and I went over the installed software and the data to ensure that everything had been transferred. I was extremely pleased with the Agent, his professionalism and quality of the service. He is a tremendous asset to the Geek Squad team and to Best Buy. He turned a frustrating and negative experience into a positive.

Tech removed hard drive from my virus infected 9-year-old Lenovo desktop snd copied it to a 1TB external drive. Booted it up and transferred selected files to new computer. Everything seems to work fine. Nice thorough job.

The Geek Squad was very professional and knowledgeable and kept me updated every step of the way as they recovered over 13,000 files of priceless family photos, videos, and documents.

We received good service to clean-up our desktop and speed up its functioning. A new hard drive was installed to facilitate this. Only problems were the loss of software programs (which we then had to reinstall) and a temporary copy of the Windows OS, which then led to a message requiring a confirmation of certification number a month later.
