This deluxe edition of Batman The Dark Knight was my first movie from DCU animated movies. This movie is animated pretty well, sound and voice actors are great and is very well written. With both, part 1 and part 2 on one bluray disc, it's a steal at $20, however, Bestbuy had a batastic (cheesy, I know) price of $9.99. I'm more than happy to have this in my collection.

Amazing film telling 2 stories. In the first one, Batman battles a gang of mutants and their leader as an aged man. In the second, he battles his arch-nemesis joker and Superman. Great animation with scenes in dawn of justice.

This movie is great. I would wish for some different voice actors, Conroy will always be Batman due to my age. That said the voice actors did well. The real selling point lies not in the movie though which is great, but in the documentary of the graphic novel which has unreleased conversations with Frank Millar. A must for any Dark Knight Returns Fan

A classic Batman tale brought to life in this epic animated film. If you are a fan of animation, Batman, or the original story for sure check this release out! This version collects parts 1 and 2 of the animated movie on one disc.

Perhaps the seminal Batman story, Dark Knight Returns is featured here in all its dystopia laden glory. The voice cast is good, not great (conroy and Hamill are missed) and the animation holds up well. Frank Miller should be proud.

Great movie. I don't think I would have liked this movie if it was separated like the original release. This combo is really good and cuts to black when to separate the movies. You'll know when the first part ends and the second one begins.

FRANK MILLER IS AWESOME. HE PUTS BATMAN IN SUCH A PERSPECTIVE THAT ONLY THE OLDER GENERATION CAN AGREE WITH. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT AND THE FACT THAT I DIDNT HAVE TO BUY PART ONE AND PART TWO IS GREAT ITS ALL IN THIS BUNDLE

This is hands down the best batman movie you have ever seen. Do yourself a favor and see this movie. This is based off of Frank Miller's batman. They do take a few artistic freedoms but they add so much. Stop reading and buy this.

If you are a fan of the graphic novel of the same name or just enjoy all things batman this is a good pickup. It seamlessly merges Parts 1 and 2 for a feature length animated movie. Plus Armored Batman is awesome.

This was a great adaptation of Frank Miller's masterpiece! I have been a huge fan of DC Animation since the beginning with Batman: The Animated Series! All the DCU Animated Movies have been awesome! Highly recommend!

Movie is a thrill top to bottom! Based off of the same titled graphic novel the dark knight returns proves to be faithful to the source material and adapts it into a film perfectly

It's hard to mess up this classic Frank Miller story. Definitely a good value and a great addition to the DC animated film library, but if you haven't read the graphic novel it's based on, do yourself a favor and do so now! The film excludes a lot of the classic Miller narration and Batman's inner-monologues.

Seamless transition from one movie to the next, making for a perfect extended movie experience. The voice casting is original and inspired. The video is of course, bluray quality. Definitely worth the purchase!

Perhaps the greatest graphic novel ever written gets an almost shot for shot animated feature that took two movies to do. This has both parts on it making it an amazing value and a must own for any comic book fan.

Two great animated movies together in one package. I got this when it was on sale which sweetened the deal but even at full price you owe it to yourself to check this out, especially if you like Batman.

Need I say more. Very entertaining movie. Bought it to get a hint of what the upcoming Batman/Superman live action movie might be like. I'm sure it'll be different, but I wanted to see a possible version.

An aging "Dark Knight" comes out of retirement to battle gangs and an old nemesis and acquires a new Robin in the process. Quite dark and violent at times. Not as inappropriate as the R-rated "The Killing Joke", but think twice before showing it to youngsters.

Dark Knight returns is a great animated adaptation of the classic Batman graphic novel. While obviously longer, the seemless transition from a 2 part movie to 1 full length film is amazing.

For a great ride and entertainment, look no further. This in blu-ray is the only way to go. Frank Miller's vision of the dark knight is right on point. And a jolt to the head by DC is never missed here.

Highs: Story and Action. Lows: Art work. I'm not a huge fan of the short, thick character look. Apocalypse and Red Hood have the best art of the DC animated films, IMO. Action is solid and story is top notch. I'm foremost a supes fan and I have no regrets about owning this one.
