This is a nice set for Comic Book fans. It includes a well crafted hard bark Graphic Novel with a DC Comic Animated blu-ray movie. I would love to see more like this.
This review is from Justice League: War [With Justice League Vol. 1 Graphic Novel] [Blu-ray] [2014]

This is another good movie in the long line of DC animated features. The story/plot is interesting enough to keep you engaged, but not great.. The artwork/animation is good, but not great.. Since they have "rebooted" the DC Universe, I would have liked a little more backstory for each character, but they pretty much throw us right into the mix.. The action/fight scenes are incredible, definitely worth the price of admission.

Yet another great addition to the DCAU. The voice acting is spot on and the storyline is exactly how it should be. It provides a good look at the beginnings of the Justice League and how it will be shaped with the many personalities in it.

Look, I grew up in the 80s and 90s so to me Batman IS Kevin Conroy and Superman IS Tim Daly. In previous DC animated films when those 2 actors were not providing the voices it was just a little off-putting. Not that those movies were bad, but it was distracting at points.
However, this one? Great. Even though these aren't the guys I would have chosen, I didn't find myself groaning and longing for better days lol(which is good cause it looks like these are the guys from this point on). The dialogue between the characters is spot on. Every character acts and sounds how you would expect. Batman is serious and precise. Green Lantern is brash and arrogant. Superman is altruistic and a little cocky. Wonder Woman acts like she just got off the island but is strong and confident. Flash is mouthy and quick to action.
Then you get Cyborg and Shazam. Again, my Justice League of old didn't look like this. But they work. This is a bit of a Cyborg origin story(maybe about 15 minutes broken up here and there). Where everyone else shows up doing what they do, Vic is suddenly thrown into this and is still trying to work out who he is now. Shazam is about what you would expect, an immature show off.
Last but not least, there's Darksied. I think this is where the story really shines. He's finally the big imposing unstoppable force that you should fear. It's hard to create a story line where it takes everything the Justice League has to come out on top. With near god like people(Wonder Woman even describes them as the Greek Gods: Hades, Apollo, Hermes, Hephaestus, Zeus) it's always been a hard sell that some of these guys that can pretty much do whatever they want can't beat some of the clowns they go up against(not a Joker pun). But when a being the size of a building comes to destroy your planet, it's gonna take some team work.
So, even though it doesn't look or sound like the Justice League I grew up with, it's still a fun movie and I find myself wanting to watch it again and again. This story is based on the New 52 Justice League Origin. If you've been away from DC for a while or was never much of a fan(I've always been a Marvel guy) this will bring you back in. I'm not saying you'll jump in with both feet, lol. But you'll look at DC with a new perspective and may make you check out some of the New 52 comics next time you go to your local shop. This ain't your dad's Justice League...and that's a good thing ;)

This "reboot" of DC's JUSTICE LEAGUE is plenty of fun. I enjoyed the plot and action. I wish the film was a little longer.

i am a big fan of animation. DC has Marvel beat when it comes to animation. DC puts out great quality animation and it's of a serious mature nature too. this was an interesting team origin of sorts. everybody got their share of time, some more than others though. the animation and voice acting was really good too. i enjoyed the extras and i am proud to add this to my growing collection of DC animated movie features!

Origin of Justice League for New 52

This tells the Origin of the Justice League in DC's New 52. A newer take on the characters. Whether you like DC's New 52 or not, this movie is actually pretty good. The art is quite good. The voice acting is also good, although different than many of their earlier animated movies. May be a bit too much for younger viewers. There is quite a bit of violence. It is definitely geared more towards adults.

Quality animation, great voice acting and an interesting mix of the familiar with the new make this a must see movie. Before anyone says something like, "I already know how it ends," as an attempt to skip this movie, I'll just say that, without any spoilers, there are surprises and how the characters get to the end that also make this movie worth watching.

This animated film is about how the Justice League got together in the New 52 version of the DC universe. I love how the characters don;t take themselves too seriously and even take verbal jabs at each other. I think it's one of DC's best animated films. The animation looks good and the voice acting is great.

The movie that kicks off this newer animated movieverse does a great job establishing each characters place. Not one hero feels left undeveloped or explained. The banter is funny and comical and almost more adult at times. The art and animation and voice acting is top notch.

I'm a JL fan, but mostly a Supes fan. I look for solid art, action and story. I'm still not totally on board with the new 52 storylines, but art and action are solid. I've rewatched this disc several times. For reference, my favorite DC animated films to date is "Apocalypse," followed by Red Hood, DKR Gotham Knight.

The story was very engrossing. This story had good plot and very good interaction between the main characters. Really did a good job of keeping the action going from start to finish. I was somewhat disappointed with the DVD extras. I thought that it could have used better extras.

A great film to add to the DC Comics collection

I have a few DC Comic animated films collected and this is just another great film to add to my collection. I've never seen the Justice League films or shows, I've always been into either Batman, the Flash, and my favorite superhero of all time, Superman. Watching this interpretation of how they all met, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Flash, Wonderwoman, Cyborg, for the first time was really interesting, and quite enjoyed it. FYI: I never knew Superman to be so conceited. This film not only tell the story of these characters joining forces to save planet earth, it also focuses on the story of a particular character that always eluded me and never quite spent time getting to know, Cyborg. Though Cyborg's storyline took up a portion of the film, I felt like it wasn't enough. They really left me wanting to know more of his origins. Overall, this is a great buy if you're a fan of these DC characters

If you like DC animated movies on blu-ray, this is one of the best! This is an origin story and the outfits the heroes wear are not their normal outfits. The animation is top-notch, and the story was great. I definitely recommend.

Rebooting the greatest DC characters seems strange at first for someone like me who has grown up with these characters. But after seeing this, I am ok with it. Superman is more edgy and Batman is AWESOME!!

I was one of the many people who jumped at the chance to read Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's new 52 origin of the Justice League. This film is an adaptation of that with some key differences (eg, Aquaman is replaced by Shazam for some reason).
The basic story is that Darkseid and the forces of Apokalips are invading Earth and the Justice League needs to band together for the very first time to stop it.
Overall the film is put together OK, but the plot is just a little too much at some points. However, the voice acting is top notch as always with these films.
It's a fun movie to watch and I would recommend for any fan of animation
