I really enjoyed this origin story for Robin in the Batman Universe. at first I didn't know if it was a great idea seeing Batman with a son, but I enjoyed it. It makes sense when you watch it, so I would suggest you watch this. there are reviews out there that are not so favorable, but I chose not to let that sway my opinion, and I'm happy for that. Definitely recommend.

To start off with this is not loosely based off the comic of the same name. Which is good if you never read it, for you will not feel left in the dark. The acting is great, Jason O'Mara from Justice League: War returns. A great cast of well known DC characters appear like Ra's al-Ghul, Talia, Ubu, Deathstroke, Alfred, Nightwing, Killer Croc and Dr. Kirk Langstrom.
Animation is stellar and the action is so much fun, great fight scenes and violent. Beware parents, with regards to the violence which is mainly a burn scene and some blood loss here and there. In addition, is the language with words like "b*st*rd" and "sp*rm donor". It seems DC wants to be edgy. I don't care, but I don't know if that's a good thing or not. Yes, the character development for Damian is lacking as to why he does why he does and makes the decision he does at the end. It was suspected but why?
Special features talks about both Damian and the League of Assassins, good for comic fans, 2 episodes from Batman: TAS and Batman: Brave and the Bold are offered as well. A sneak peak at Arkham Assault. Finally, DC's technical content. Last time they showed "pencil tests" for JL: War which was an over-glorified story board. This time they offer rough sketches of the character designs with commentary. Better, but they are the designs straight from the movie, not designs that weren't used. Interesting at best, but a full length commentary on the film would have been better.

Son of Batman follows Batman's discovery of his heretofore unknown son. Years ago, after a brief romance with the daughter of Ra's Al-Ghul, Batman became a father but his son was raised in secret, groomed to take over the League of Assassins. That all changed following a coup and the boy is sent to Gotham City to live with his father. Batman's son, Damian, is no ordinary child, he is a trained killer who wants blood! The movie is very good with great action and several laughs but suffers for an unlikeable character in Damian and weak dialogue. The comic series from which it was based, Batman and Son, also presented Damian as unlikeable at first but he grew overtime. Hopefully the film version is given the chance to grow on me too.

2014 marks the 75th anniversary of the Batman character, and while Warner Bros. and DC Comics didn't release any live action movie, they did deliver one of two Animated Movies. The first one Son Of Batman is based off the story arc Batman and Son from the comic books were Talia al Ghul reveals to Batman they have a son together. This marks the second time that Damian Wayne has been adapted into another media and this one is more faithful. Bruce Timm and company brings this movie to you and they have a great track record with the DC Universe Animated Original Movies line. If your'e a fan of Batman, Damian Wayne, or even Deathstroke I highly recommend this movie. However this is not a straight up adaptation of Batman and Son and elements of the story have been change.

Not my favorite Batman movie but I really did enjoy it a lot! It's different from the batman and Son graphic novel that I read, however its pleasantly different. I definitely recommend this for a batman fan, I don't regret buying it what so ever The film is very enjoyable its just not the best Batman animated feature.... You can't beat Kevin Conroy Mark Hamil and Arlen sorkin... (animated series actors) all in all definitely a plus to the collection I'd buy it again!! I hope to see more movies similar to arkam asylum...maybe a death in the family?

The second film in the newly relaunched DC ANIMATED UNIVERSE is SON OF BATMAN. This movie is a good follow up to the completely awesome JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR and though while not as action packed as WAR is S.O.B. is very pleasing. It is nice to see a story where Batman has a family (other than Alfred.) The current actor portraying Batman took a little while to get used to as his vocal style seems a tad higher than previous actors but the fact that he has committed to the role for a multifilm deal is good. The animation is outstanding...as always. Everything about the S.O.B. is fun and is a great introduction to Damien Wayne...SON OF BATMAN!

I have watched a lot of DC animated movies from justice league War, Flashpoint and Doom to Under the red Hood, Year one and first flight. This movie was fantastic, Flashpoint and Under the Red Hood are still my top two favorite DC Animated movies but Son of Batman was up there. It strayed a lot from the graphic novel story it was based off of so if your expecting a carbon copy of the graphic novel then this might not be the movie for you but in a move in an of itself it was fantastic. The story was great, the acting was great the fighting was great it really is a must have for all Batman and DC movie fans.

This is one of the very best animated movies I have ever seen. If you are a Batman fan you have to see it. The movie grabs your interest right away and holds it throughout the entire movie. Batman is surprised to find out that he has a son who has been trained to be an assassin by his grandfather and mother. The son wants to kill the man who is responsible for killing his grandfather and later in the movie captures his mother. Batman has his hands full with his son and the villain. Plenty of action and life lessons for all.

This is the first time we learn that Batman has a son, Damian Wayne, with Talia al Ghul. Voice acting is done pretty well. Animation is Good. I would like to see more Nightwing but his role was done well. Not bad at all. This Bluray purchase does come with DVD and digital copy. Also 4 additional episodes are on the bluray, from Batman Beyond, Batman the animated series, and 2 episodes from Batman: Brave and the Bold.... all have to do with Rha's Al Ghul or Damian Wayne. Very Enjoyable episodes.

If you're a fan of Batman, you'll appreciate it especially as a comic book fan that loved the Son of Batman storyline. It had some awesome action and it's pretty violent. My only gripe was the voice acting, whoever did Deathstroke's voice is just terrible. Other than that, a pretty decent animated movie by DC. A lot better than the garbage Marvel releases when it comes to animated movies.

This DC animated feature was amazing. It introduces Damian Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul, to the DC universe. Bruce has never known he had a son until now. Damian is a preteen, but he has been trained his whole life by his Mom, grandfather Ra's Al Ghul, and the League of Assassins. Now, Damian is trying to assimilate to his father Bruce Wayne's world and is finding it quite difficult and doesn't like it. This is probably my favorite DC Animated Movie.

This is another great film in the DC Entertainment line up. It follows new comic lore, but takes some elements a little differently, so it's definitely still fun for those that know the stories. The only problem I have with this film is the fact that Kevin Conroy is not Batman's voice. The new guy is okay, but we all know who the real voice of Batman is, and that takes a away from the film a little. Although, it's still a lot of fun and highly recommended for Batman fans.

I enjoyed this one a lot! I loved the gloves-are-off depiction of action with matching violence (and blood)! DC Universe Original Movies are way better than Marvel's! This feature was based on the graphic novel "Batman And Son". My set is the Best Buy exclusive that came with the Deathstroke action figure.

Considering the other films out there, this would not be my first recommendation to get into the animated Batman films. It's good and it rightly focuses on the son of Batman. But, some aspects of the movie are not realistic and the kid is something of a brat. "Something"? No, he is a brat and that takes away from the movie too. Still, overall, I thought it turned out better than the rumors I had heard and did not regret purchasing the movie.

Another great animated feature. Batman is a father. Not just for any kind of boy, but this one is also the son of Talia Al-Ghul. Trained in the arts of the League of Shadows we get a 'Lion King' like story, in which an rouge member of the organization wants to take it over for himself. Talia leaves Damian with his birth father Bruce Wayne and there he learns that are ways to serve justice with out killing people. Eventually Damian would end up becoming the 4th Boy Wonder
