One of the best Zombie films ever made.

It's as if while making "Dead Snow" Tommy Wirkola realized that intestines are the key to a unique zombie film. "Dead Snow 2" has at least three separate occasions where someone's intestines are used to kill the undead or someone who was once living. The film keeps its ability to find humor in everything. The comedy always tends to teeter on being raunchy and absolutely overboard, but is relatively harmless and fun overall. The ridiculousness only seems to add to the film's amusement factor.
Being bitten by a zombie doesn't make you turn in this world. The victim generally just dies from a zombie bite. However, Herzog has the ability to resurrect whoever he sees fit as does Martin who's now in possession of one of Herzog's arms. The introduction of magic to the zombie genre is an intriguing one since it's something that's either relatively new or not nearly as worn out as the apocalypse or an epidemic. Combined with the familiar "kill the head and the rest will die" concept, "Dead Snow 2" is the messy, blood-splattered goulash of something old mixed with something new.
The introduction of the Zombie Squad both hurts and benefits the films. Zombie Squad is an American trio of nerds who have prepared for zombies for quite some time, but have never encountered them. Consisting of Blake (Ingrid Haas), the "Star Wars" obsessed Monica (Jocelyn DeBoer), and the leader of the group named Daniel (Martin Starr), Zombie Squad is mostly an excuse for more comedic relief who serve more of a purpose than that poor sidekick zombie (played by Kristoffer Joner) who keeps getting dismantled and brought back to life again and again. Zombie Squad is silly and yet useful. The characters may leave you feeling torn since they're annoying one minute and somewhat exciting to be around the next.
The film throws police into the very predictable stereotype of being downright incompetent. Major Stubbe (Daniel Berge Halvorsen) is an utter buffoon as he rambles on about seagull translators and nearly breaks his leg while trying to kick open a door. On the upside, the exquisite practical effects return and flourish during the climactic and bloody battle sequence. The very last scene of the film is so ludicrous as the combination of the song playing, the movie "Dead Snow 2" decides to reference," and the vile act taking place rattles your brain as you try to decide if it's funny or just blatantly ludicrous.
"Dead Snow 2: Red vs Dead" is even bloodier and more excessive than the first film, but that's what makes it so entertaining. It's a one of a kind bloodbath filled with guts and gore. So grab a pile of intestines and the nearest severed head. "Dead Snow 2" is without a doubt one of the most preposterously bonkers and genre-pleasing zombie sequels ever made.

Third Reich zombies return to combat the Red Dead Menace. More of the unread hijinks with a nice assortment of extras.

Continues where Dead Snow #1 left off. Good special effects - lots of blood, squirting blood, squishing and gore. And new uses for human intestines! Hilarious from the start, which keep me entertained. Lots of unexpected moments, which you don't see coming until too late. Don't want to mention any of those here - don't want to spoil it for you. Great Zombie action, Zombie versus Zombie action, and well done Zombie acting. Overall, a very watchable and entertaining movie. Bluray version 101 minutes long, 16:9 widescreen format. The original film (Dead Snow #1) was in Norwegian, but on this Bluray Collectors version, the movie is in English. The bonus features on this Collector's Edition include the Norwegian language version, found under the extras as Dod Sno 2 (1:40:54, 2.39:1 1080p, Norwegian and French Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks). Norwegian language version includes English subtitles, and the Zombies speaking German. Rated "R" for violence and gore. Note: Best Buy won't let me use the word N_a_ z_ i in this review - but these are N_a_ z_i Zombies in the movie. It got flagged for inappropriate language. Why? The word is in the movie Synopsis on the BB site.

As our hero from the first one is in the hospital recovering he realizes something isn't right as they tell him they reattached his arm with it actually being one of the arms of the dead. He soon learns to control his new arm and realizes he needs to rise an army of dead of his own to combat the still living dead army that he thought once was defeated. While enlisting zombie fighters as well to help.

N*zi Zombies are fun, even for a second time around! Whether you're shooting them down in a video game or watching their delightfully fun antics in a crazy entertaining movie sequel. Enjoyed the first one n the second installment didn't disappoint. My only complaint for this Blu-ray offering is that they didn't include a digital HD copy with it, which has become pretty standard for movie home releases now.

This over the top comedic horror gem is the sequel to Dead Snow. A Norwegian Evil Dead-esque franchise? This film definitely owes a lot to Ash and the Evil Dead but it holds its own with its outrageous, over-the-top premise that the zombie leader and human hero swapped arms. Hilarity and gore ensues.

There aren't many movies that can say they delivered a quality sequel. The obvious ones that come to mind, Godfather 2, Empire Strikes Back and Lethal Weapon 2. Well add Dead Snow 2 to the list because this film delivers on EVERY level! The gore, action and humor that made Dead Snow an instant classic has been kicked up to 11! Don't miss this!

This sequel was great! Usually the sequel of the original isn't as great as the first, but this one, in my opinion, was more interesting than the first. I've watched it twice and have seen more in the second than the first. It is more over the top comedy than the first, not subtle at all, but it works.

One of the freshest new takes on the zombie genre in years comes straight from Germany. The film is so captivating that, even if you are not a fan of subtitled films, its almost unnoticeable. Well done over the top bloodbath. Equally as good as the first film.

If you thought the first one was insane, wonderful, gory fun, you may just like this one even more. In fact, you kinda don't even have to see the original first to enjoy it. It helps in the very beginning, but this one takes off pretty quick and just becomes its own thing.

A sequel to Dead Snow. Ups the humor and violence, but doesn’t become a caricature of itself. Both are great movies if you like the horror/humor type films.

Don't expect a simple remake of the original Dead Snow, the sequel decides to crank things up to 11. Great movie for zombie fans, gore fans, or anyone who likes ridiculous movies that are knowingly "jumping the shark!"

When I first read the synopsis of the sequel, I know I had to watch it. This one has upped the second by having Zombie on Zombie violence, definitely worth a slightly buzzed watch to make it just that much better...

I know that zombie movies have been more plentiful than any other sub-genre lately. That surely doesn't stop me from loving Dead Snow 2. I'd say that this movie is more entertaining that Dead Snow 1. Both are very enjoyable, I just think that I like 2 over 1.

Wasn't a huge fan of the first Dead Snow. This one more than made up for it. Hilariously funny, ridiculously violent and the redhead is definitely easy on the eyes. Next to Cheap Thrills and Guardians Of The Galaxy, one of my favorites of 2014

un and original black/historical/comedy kept in the spirit of Evil Dead franchise and Shaun of the Dead (2004). It terms of funnier, Dead Snow (2009) was much better. Nevertheless, part 2 does not disappoint
