Great game with amazing game play and great graphics.

PROS: I would have to say that I like the way the guns are a lot better in this one than in DS2. I like being able to build and upgrade guns to my liking. It seems like the combination in guns is almost endless. You start with selecting 1 of 15-20 frames and then add tool tips to the frame to create your guns. Then on top of that you add something to the tool tips to give the projectile a certain feature. (ie you can make the javelin gun a shotgun that fires multiple javs) Then you add special abilities to your weapons like stasis coating which slows your enemies, or acid, fire, electic, list goes on and on. And finally upgrade your weapon with curcuits to add more damage, higher clip, rate of fire, or reload speed. I enjoy creating new weapons and testing them out. The Co-op feature that was added is a very nice addition. I like being able to jump in and out of games to find stuff I miss. Also there are 3 Co-Op side missions in the game that can obviously only be completed in Co-Op mode. CONS: I started like most of you will my Plasma Cutter. Unlike DS2 the Cutter becomes usless very quick. I played with the same fun in solo mode for about 5 chapters. The game became a little mundane at that point. Once I swithced to a new weapon and started cycling in new weapons the game took on a whole new meaning and direction. I was all about finding new frames and upgrade circuits to creat my newest weapon. I would definitely reccommend this game to anyone in the market for a shooter.

As a big fan of the original Dead Space and someone who liked Dead Space 2 (but not as much as the first), I am sad to say the game does not follow in the foot steps of its predecessors. The game isn't bad, but it doesn't live up to the promises of horror that the first entry or even the second one had. It has a lack of tone and atmosphere that made the series so scary, and the game is taking the Resident Evil route of cramming in as much action in as possible. It's a sham too since I really enjoyed Dead Space 1&2, and even Extraction. I bought this games for $10 so I don't feel like I've lost anything, but if you are looking for something scary and more akin to the original, I suggest staying away from this entry in order to preserve your feelings about the franchise.

A fitting conclusion to the story even if it falls into certain cliches. Outstanding graphics and outstanding game play. A fun way to exercise your skills in time and resource management. Fans of the series won't be disappointed. Excellent product!!!

Dead space three is almost a different breed, being more action oriented than the first two games. I mean come on the put is a cover system. However fighting necrosis is as fun as ever and the new co-op adds a new layer to a fun game.

This was a great game to play, enjoyed every minute of it. The game brought back a lot of the classic elements from previous Dead Space games. The telekenisis was much improved from the other games, but functioned in the same manner. The weapon types were as diverse from previous, but only had one ammo type. So you don't have to accumulate separate ammo piles for each. Simply put, I enjoyed playing thru the dark, noisy environments waiting for the necromorphs to jump out and attack. I like this game so much, I gave my copy to a friend to try out. Then I bought a second copy and started playing online co-op mode, while he catches up. Just play it, you will like it...

I have been a huge dead space fan since the original, and I could not wait for DS3. With that being said, I was a little let down once with the final product. With the third entry in the series, the story has gotten completly out of hand and no longer makes sense. What made the series great to begin with was that it was an actual horror game. This 3rd title feels more like an action game.

After (finally) beating Dead Space and Dead Space 2 about a month ago, I knew I had to get this title. Amazing graphics, and the gameplay is just a horrifying and intense as usual. I wasn't too crazy about the storyline though. I preferred the one from Dead Space 2 (my favorite of the three). Nevertheless, this game was intense, gruesome and gory. This is was a true horror trilogy should be like. If you're a die hard fan, you definitely want this title in your collection.

Having not played the other 2 games in this series I can say it was a really fun game for the most part. Fighting the human enemies at the beginning was almost as awkward, as the duck & cover moves were never needed again until late in the game. On the other hand, the missions in deep space were very fun and especially enjoyable while playing online with a buddy. I loved me some RE6, and this game felt like an even better version of it. Unfortunately the later levels on the snowy alien planet were visually appealing, but a little less fun to play through. The only real weakness in this game came from the overall storyline (the boss was kind of a loser douchebag) which is like watching a B-rated movie script unfold with great visuals. I didn't hate it, but it's definitely not worth playing through again for. And the final alien boss was more weird than hard to beat. Overall, this is a well produced game that is fun to play through with a friend. The length is about 10-12 hours, so a decent amount, and perhaps worth an additional playthrough in the +mode for upgrading your weapons and armor all the way. It's worth renting and perhaps buying if you like Dead Space and/or co-op action games, I'm giving it 1 less star because the gameplay and overall storyline was a bit underwhelming at the end. I did, however, enjoy this game more than Crysis 3.

I love the Dead Space franchise and following the story of Isaac Clarke. It's a fun game and I'd recommend it to fans of the series. The drawback to me is it can be at times too action driven and the upgrade system for the guns leaves a lot to be desired. I miss the node the system which I felt was better. Great story; every should atleast play this game.

Based on playing the Dead Space 1/2, I can say this game has evolved into an action based game with a few scares. The horror usually involves the necromorphs just out at you at random points in the game. After playing a few hours, you do the same routine over and over again as you reach keypoints in the game. The routine involves activating a switch, enemies swarm around you, after kill all of them you go to the next objective to repeat again. At nice addition is being able to play Co-op, but to warn everyone you need two consoles to play the game. The developers did not implement splitscreen in the game, so you need two copies of the game to play co-op. Co-op was enjoyed when I beat the game with my brother.

This is probably the best Dead Space game ever made. I do admit that there is a learning curve when it comes to weapons crafting but if you stick with it you will learn that the new system is far superior to the old. The best experience is to play this game in multiplayer. For whatever reason unknown, this game plays far better and just looks better on an Xbox 360 but don't let this deter you from playing it on a PS3. I would recommend buying it and playing it.

This is a great syfy style shooter much like call of duty. I love the ability to build own weapons
