Deadly Premonition is an acquired taste. You either get it or you don't; you either think it's terrible or a masterpiece. I've bought this game multiple times on multiple platforms, so I'm definitely a fan. It has an open world where every character goes about their daily lives. Each character is incredibly interesting. Exploring the world & unraveling the story is Deadly Premonition's strength, whereas the gameplay, particularly the combat and driving, is not. The driving in the Switch version feels worse than it did in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

So I've played this game on the 360, PS3, PC, and now the Switch. I'll cut to the chase; this is a BAD game technical-wise. Bad framerate, clunky controls, dated graphics and more. But for some reason, I can't stop playing it, and I just keep buying it. The characters and story are just so balls to the wall weird and endearing, that any technical shortcomings are easily looked past while spending your time in this bizarre world. Now that being said, this is NOT a game for everyone. If you're of the type that demands the most cutting edge graphics and professionally written storylines, then maybe something from Naughty Dog will be more up your alley. But if you're like me, and unironically love things like The Room, or Troll 2, and can appreciate the dedication to an obviously flawed work of intense love and passion, then this is an experience you should definitely not pass on.

One of the most unique and charming mystery stories out there. Absolutely worth your time and attention. Also a great collector's edition worth the few extra dollars.

Great game that has a wonderful storyline and is very suspenseful and fun!

This game is weird that's for sure but the story is pretty interesting and creepy at times. Anyone who loves good horror will like this game.

Definitely recommended for people who value quirky weird games. Kinda primitive as far as graphics and controls (think ps1 or ps2 level) but just adds to the charm.

Great game. But if you have spent a lot of time on the digital version you will be disappointed. The save file is not compatible. A huge oversight and deal breaker.

Not necessarily a good game but a cult classic with a unique, quirky charm. This is one of the better ports, up there with the 360 version and definitely better than the PS3 and PC versions. However, all of the old framerate issues and bugs are still present. If you're a fan of Twin Peaks then this game may appeal to you.

This is the third copy of this game that I own. What a bizarre game! It's wildly campy, poorly designed, and had some broken mechanics, and yet it's charming and fun. The story is the best thing about this game. When this drops in price I would say get it just to experience this weirdness behind this little gem.

I went into Deadly Premonitions fairly fresh...I have heard that there is a massive cult following for the game and that it's incredibly strange in tone and story. Now that I've played a few hours, I can safely agree with that assessment! It won't take long into your gaming session to come across the infamous monkey-squirrels. From that point forward, it gets stranger. I can say it feels like playing an episode of Twin Peaks. There are times that the game is trying to be scary and then there are times where the music is so incredibly cheesy/cheery that you have no idea what you are playing. However, with all that aside, you strangely want to keep playing. You want to see where the story goes. The odd-factor of the game isn't a deterrent, it actually hooks you in! So I recommend playing Deadly Premonitions on the Nintendo Switch, especially since the sequel has been announced for 2020. I kept my review vague because I feel like the game is an experience you should also go into as fresh as I did and enjoy the ride! :)

A cult classic. This is a game for the most hard-core collectors. Its a must have for the collection. Very cheesy but fantastic.

Do yourself a favor pick this up you won't put it down its one to tell a story but give a reason to each detail!

A game that pokes fun at XFiles and Twin Peaks, this collectors set is a great kick off for the series debut on Nintendo.

This is a very strange but great horror game. Anyone who like this genre should definitely check this game out!
