This is a great movie, my wife and I love it! This is a classic Tarantino flick! Great acting by Kurt Russell and a great plot right up to the end. The only people I've noticed that don't like it are people that just aren't fans of his work. If you liked some of his other movies; Pulp Fiction, From Dusk Till Dawn, Curdled, Kill Bill, etc., then you'll love this movie. I highly recommend it! Also, check out Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror, that was released at the same time. Grindhouse, Baby!

This is a great Quinton Tarintino movie, probably his best work simce Pulp Fiction. The movie has great cameos by some great actors. I'm hopping this dvd has a couple of the made up previews that they had in the theatrical version, they where a joy to watch. Kurt Russel gives a great performance, if you like him as Snake Pliskin in the Escape series, you'll love him in this movie. Awsome action, great car chase action and beautiful women. This is a great film to buy and own in any collection. Also when Planet Terror comes out next month, that is another movie I wilkl recommend to you all to own.

Death Proof was due to be released on 9/18/07. Having read the reviews, I was confident that my boyfriend would love this Movie. After reading the Best Buy flyer in Sunday's (9/16/07) Newspaper; it noted that there would be only 15 available at each Store and no rainchecks would be issued. Aware of this, I arrived at Best Buy soon after opening. I was greeted at the door and asked by an Associate, "Can I help you find something?" I was thankful for the help and within 2 minutes had the Video in my hand. It was a great surprise for my Boyfriend, and we both loved the Movie. Great job!

If you're a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino, a huge movie buff, or simply couldn't get enough of the Grindhouse movies, then the extra money spent to buy the exclusive edition is worth it. The steel case takes the DVD one step closer to "collectible" status, but the bonus disc -- which includes behind-the-scenes interviews and insight -- is a great add-on for the true die-hards. If you're not among the die-hards, but enjoyed the movie nonetheless, or you're just overly cost-conscious, then you may want to pass on spending an extra $10, and instead buy the regular version.

It's a must watch in my book! Over all fast moving grabs your interest early and will keep it for the duration. Great action, hot chicks, violence, what’s there not to like!!!! Peace out

death proof is a typical tarrantino movie,in that it is very dialogue heavy.kurt russell gives a great performance as the crazy sadistic stunt car driver.the last half hour of this movie contains some really great action.grindhouse deserved a better fate with moviegoers than it actually got.buy it or rent this dvd,but please support it,because in a sea of garbage horror movies, death proof is a winner.

Another movie, another Quentin T maasterpiece. With his direction teaming up with an all start cast including Kurt Russell, Rosario Dawson, and Rose McGowman, "Death Proof," is a stunning "take you on a ride" thriller. Kurt Russell's pyschopathic character rides around in his death trap harrassing beautiful women. Put that plot with the Tarentino dialouge and you got one fun movie. Two Thumbs way up!

Death Proof was great in theaters, and although it takes a little time to get into, the car chase scene is one of the best I've ever seen and makes the slow parts worthwhile. People have been asking where the first part of "grindhouse" is, well they decided to release each movie seperately and "Planet Terror" is slated to be released in October sometime.

I just bought this movie a few days ago and I gotta say it wasn't a bad movie. Quentin Tarantino knows how to make movies. It's lame that you have to buy Death Proof and Planet Terror seperately but whatever you get a coupon for Planet Terror if you buy Death Proof. One thing that I didn't like was that it looks like it was made in the 80s or 70s other than that I really liked it.

For no one familiar with Tarantino's other works, this film might appeal to their tastes, but for anyone who has seen Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown etc, they'll soon realize that this is only a shell of what those movies were. Tarantino based this movie off of the "grindhouse" movie theater experience and in that regards he suceeds, but if you expect this to live up to some of his better works it will not. A true fan of his might spot some of the witty and rough dialogue he's famous for, or some of his unique filming styles, but great characters and a thick plot are not to be found. The reason I did recommend this movie is because while it is not his best work, he has succeeded in what he tried to do. He did not claim this would be a Pulp Fiction or a Kill Bill, he simply tried to make a film reminiscent of the ones he enjoyed watching in the past. The movie has some good scenes and all in all it is certainly not a bad film, but as far as movies he's made that will be remembered well into the future, this most likely will not be one of them.

When I first saw Death Proof I thought it was another good dialog driven, sick and twisted Tarantino thrill ride. But after the movie was over I kept thinking about the movie. Over and over i thought about it and i couldn't get it out of my mind. I realized more and more how AMAZING the movie really was. I love it! I love all the caracters, Kurt Russell revives his BAD A** side. Great movie Great movie Great movie. Don't rent it! Buy it! And sit back...... crank it up......... and enjoy:) Hollywood

This is one half of the Grindhouse film that was released in theatres. This one was directed by Quentin Tarantino and like most of his movies has a great script and alot of over the top scenes. The movie is a little slow at the start but it builds up the suspense and it does a great job leading up to what happens next. The car chase at the end is one of the coolest stunts I have ever seen in a movie. This is a great homage to grindhouse films and another Tarantino classic, well worth a purchase.

I just loved this crazy movie. I don't want to spoil the plot for anyone who hasn't seen it but I will say that I thought it was pretty frigging cool to see the women turn the tables on their attacker. Too often in movies we see women as the helpless, hopeless victim. This movie had me howling at the movie screen when I saw it. I rooted for them like I was in the car with him. I loved every minute of it!!!! I would love to have this on Blu-Ray!!!

people that do not know what Grindhouse cinema is will not like this movie. it's supposed to be cheesy dialogue, bad edits and simple stories (usually revenge). i love this movie. this is up there with all the classic Grindhouse films we all know. if you don't get what Tarantino and Rodriguez did here then that's your problem so why bother trying to tear this movie down? if you love classic Grindhouse films you'll love Death Proof

The only Con about this movie is that they didn't release it with Planet Terror like it was in the theater!!! really fun movie with great diaologue and effects. You will enjoy. I was fortunate enough to get the Steel Book edition!!!

Tarantino's latest is a bit too talky, but, still carries the usual quirkiness that he brings to his films. The stunt & chase scene thats the climax of the film is worth watching. Second part to the "Grindhouse" experience.

Death proof is a great selection for any Tarintino fans out there. And it is an excellent movie for fans of great car chases. My only regret about the movie is that it didnt include any of the fake intermission previews that were shown during its theatrical showing with Planet Terror.

Kurt Russell stars as a socipath named Stuntman Mike whose has a taste for stalking young women,but his actions get him into trouble when he tangles with the wrong women.The confrontation escalates into a 18 minute duel with one of the girls strapped to the hood of a Dodge Challenger,followed by a fast and furious car chase.The movie has a lot of dialogue that doesn't seem to go anywhere to keep the story moving.The cast does a good job at their roles.Quentin Tarantino does a good job at shooting all the right angles to make it look like an old,but new style film.There's not much in the way of gunfight action,but it does keep you entertainted throughout the film.The DVD also comes with another disc that has special features.

I went and saw Grindhouse in the theaters, I am debating if I want to get the two movies separately or see if they come out as a box set. The true test will be when I walk into the store. Planet terror was an awsome movie also!...... I can't wait I am going out and buying it tonight!!
