If you know what your getting yourself into with gameplays, the cutscenes graphics and voice acting are amazing. Just don’t expect an action 3rd person shooter

I cannot say much here concerning the game itself that has not been said elsewhere, but it is a work of art. Give it time. Dive in. Take in everything. It's truly genius and, again, a work of art. Beyond that, this steelbook is incredible on its own. I won't lie, even if the game was average at best, I would have still purchased this for the gorgeous steelbook. Pictures do not do it justice, and it is worth the price. Five out of five stars! The game itself is (again!) a work of art and profound, and the steelbook is in the top five of all time.

This is a definite outside the norm type of videogame. And in a sea of me too live service, shooter based, heavy monetization games a very welcome change of pace. It breaks from a number of conventions and introduces some impressive new ones. The online component for example is based on cooperative play not competitive. You find yourself building literal bridges as shared structures between players appear in your game session. You find yourself wanting to help in the effort to rebuild the land and connect as is the games thematic intent. It does starts slow but as you progress in the game it becomes very engaging and addictive. Not for everyone admittedly but, if you're willing to take a chance on something new and different and, get out of your gaming comfort zone, you will find yourself in for an amazing journey.

It starts a bit slow for me. I really enjoy the visuals and the musical score makes it all very cinematic. I haven't invested much with this game simply because it hasn't grabbed me. Others I know are appreciating the story.

So ive had DS for a over 3 weeks now. I've gotta say it's a pretty good game. Not gonna lie, sometimes it gets monotonous and Norman Reedus should've have had wayyyy more dialogue cause there are too many awkward scenes where you know he should've reacted more to certain things. However, it's a beautiful game, my interest keeps getting peaked at constant intervals so I don't feel like a certain part is dragging on too long. There is light-heartedness amongst all the heaviness of it all. I'm not done with the game, not even close, I'm taking my time with all the exploration and expanding environments because Im that type of player so if you like doing something similar and exploring every book and cranny then you will probably enjoy this game too.

This game is truly unique and it showcases Hideo Kojima's talent. First of all the game is gorgeous visually and audially. The game is hard to describe, but it is so fulfilling to immerse yourself in the flow of the game. The feedback you get from the game environment is so encouraging and rewarding that you don't want to stop playing. The objectives in the game are also very unique and have never been seen in other games. The game is expertly designed and it really shows in every aspect.

I have enjoyed playing Death Stranding but it is definitely not for everyone. The glorified FedEx or UPS role you play is in a beautiful world but you are still essentially delivering packages. The story is fairly interesting with some really deep sci-fi and I would have liked to delve deeper into the world. I feel that they should have got Kevin Costner to reprise his role for this game. :) I would recommend that you watch some game play before you purchase. In retrospect, I would have probably made a different choice if I would have known more about it.

If the title of this review is good enough for you then you should get this game. You'll see lots of reviews complaining about how this game is a walking simulator and they're not wrong but where they are wrong is the reasoning behind it. You play a game to be immersed in it's world and the story and the walking is what drives home the narrative. It's a barren post apocalyptic world full of rough terrain, elements of nature and other obstacles that adds to your misery. Your goal is to survive and deliver packages to reconnect the world. The controls are intuitive and the graphics and sounds are top notch and the story is Kojima's brand of weirdness.

This game is very decisive. Kojima's storytelling can be very taxing on some people. Even for me as a fan of his, I kinda struggled with parts of this game's story. But the gameplay makes you feel so good. Its such a marvel of gameplay and game feel. The walking simulator comparisons, while somewhat accurate, is very reductive. It's a cautious recommendation from me. You should do a bit more research before you get this, but i loved it.

I’m an avid gamer and enjoy story-driven adventures. If you’re looking for a successor to Metal Gear Solid, this isn’t it. The story is intriguing but slow. You have to have the patience for it. My advice is to focus on the main storyline first because the side quests don’t really add anything to it. This is basically a game to bring gamers together. Whatever you put in the game to help you traverse the environment or complete a delivery will stay there for other players to use. Ultimately, this game is about uniting everyone to work together and make the game just a little easier for each other.

Being a huge fan of MGS and Kojima's wacky ideas, I knew Death Stranding would be something up my alley and it did not disappoint. Yes, the majority of the time is spent on cargo delivering and traversing the environment, but the story is really something else. No spoilers, but the plot and the characters are intriguing and compelling. As someone who loves Kojima's weirdness and way of storytelling, Death Stranding is amazing.

I've read and watched the reviews of the game. I was waiting for a sale. I found it at the right time. I'm happy the steelbook was a part of that sale. First thing I have to talk about it how beautiful and awesome the steelbook looks! What a great addition to my collection. If you are a collector of all things steelbook it is a must have. Not my pride and joy but it's pretty high up there for looking unique.

From famed Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima comes Death Stranding, his first new game from the newly created, independent Kojima Productions. This is a very strange, very complex epic about a mission to reconnect a broken America. Starting on the east coast and pushing west, your journey will drop you into a slow moving adventure about delivering packages and reconnecting the country with a dense, emotional sci-fi story playing out along the way. Not a game for action junkies, Death Stranding demands patience and attention if you want to succeed. One of the most unique games of 2019.

This game is absolutely breathtaking. When researching this game on YouTube I ended up watching 3 hours of gameplay and was fully immersed. This game is the reason I finally made the jump to Playstation from xbox -which I have wanted to do for awhile. The only complaint I have , do to being a virtual photographer, is I wish it had a photomode. Apparently I'm not the only one hope to see it added in future
