Daniel Craig is a wonderful actor. His brilliance is on display in this film.

Easy going movie to pass your time on a rainy weekend. The movie scene is quite dark, almost the whole movie. Contrast is bad in dark scene.

"Defiance" is an absolutely amazing movie! I believe that the story in this film is one of it's best strong points. This story about the Bielski brothers in World War II is simply riveting. It's such a great story within the war about the lives of these brothers and it gives a touch of humanity to the story so that it can be very relatable and not overplayed by action and explosions. But don't get me wrong, for those who enjoy action, there's quite a bit in the movie and its amazing. Daniel Craig delivers one of his best performances yet and he is well supported by Liev Schreiber, Jamie Bell, and the rest of the cast. Director Edward Zwick creates another masterpiece with "Defiance." Honestly, "Defiance" on Blu-ray looked EXTREMELY AWESOME!!! When I was watching this film it was like looking at eye candy. The clarity was so amazing and the colors were vibrant. This movie on Blu-ray has to be one of the BEST movies that I have seen on Blu-ray yet!! I highly recommend this movie and especially in Blu-ray.

This was one of my favorite movies of 2008. Although I don't quite agree with the tag line that it was "Daniel Craig's Best Performance to date" (that would be Casino Royale) I do believe he gave a quite masterful performance. So did Liev Shrieber, and especially Jamie Bell and all of the other supporting cast members. I even like the acting by the young actor George MacKay who played Aron Bielski. I will keep this in my personal collection for the rest of my life. The length was great some times movies just aren't long enough these days. I will watch it again and again.It is a great World War II film. I recommend it to all. 10/10!!

This movie is a really great inspiring movie for people who are interested in world history and politics. Great acting in this movie, easy to understand and follow along. Very emotional and intense. This movie wins your hearts and minds because it was based on a true story.

Defiance is a really good movie and I like it very much. The story, actors, the intensity, and drama were powerful. This is a must see movie. but defiance is another one of those blue ray movies that present it self as a high definition movie that is not an HD quality made film at all. It is clear that this movie like many other blue ray movies was not filmed with an HD camera/equipment. Many film companies especially the big movie companies Such as Disney, paramount, Sony, and Universal among others are not making all their movies in HD blue ray but selling these movies at a HD price. The Picture throughout the movie is distorted and hazy around the actors and other images in all the scenes in this movie. So please be careful because all blue ray movies are not made in HD and they are charging us $25 to $34 for poorly made movies. Please rent them first before you buy them. it would save you a lot of money and disappointment. Buy the regular DVD instead if you really have to have this movie in your movie library or wait until the price is lowered to at least 15.00 to 19.00 because that is what these so called blue ray movies maybe worth. This is not a true blue ray made movie, do not buy it at the HD price. Wait!! Do not let movie companies make fools out of us.

Great movie, a must own. Actting is top notch. Plot is predicable, but solid. A true credit to the reality.

One of the better WWII films out there, great action and directing, and a fascinating story.

THE DEFIANCE IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE PLUS THE ACTORS ARE VERY GOOD.

Good movie on historical subject. Great seeing it in HD.

Daniel Craig is great. DVD played fine. No complaints.
